I renamed mine with a '1' at the end & worked, try that?

Silly question but you did a reboot after deleting the ufs folder?

My NFC is also not working! What should I do?
I trigger the NFC, but the icon does not appear on the screen and is not activated!

Repair phone with Sony Companion fixed the icon for me and the usability, or the other option is to install a custom ROM for locked bootloader

I don't think you can add traditional speed-dials to dialling keys by long-pressing - it doesn't work for me - but surely "Starred Contacts" (one swipe to the right of the dialler) makes speed dial redundant? If you want one-touch dialling to specific numbers, you can always add direct dial shortcuts to your homescreen or in a folder via Homescreen Longpress>Apps>Shortcuts>Direct dial.

it is there, but sony disabled it for some reason. if you have root, i can make a modified phonebook.apk with speeddialing enabled. just need the original apk as mine is modified to support a non-standard dpi and may not work propperly for you...

For some ppl this is disabled inside the phonebook.apk (that is the one responsible for the dialer, semcphone.apk comes in after you push the green 'dial' button).
Anyways, if this is still important to the OP and others, pls post the phonebook.apk from system/app and i will uplode a mod of it with the enabled speeddial thing, it will take under 10 mins to do =)

is there a problem getting root? since it is availble for locked bootloaders, afaik you risk nothing - you can root and unroot and even being rooted does not brek anything including the BE2 and ota / sony upd tool updates
will do this tonight

if yes, then it should work well, no problem at all, if there is still a problem with nfc, tell me which root method did you used?
I'm using TX JB (both .411 & .67) rooted with working NFC

so, it works now, no need to think about anything else
the easiest way, anyway, is to delete that folder in /Data , that solves the problem
but that's weird, because bin4ry method automatically repairs NFC issue...

Reflash the new ROM, sometimes it is needed for NFC to have the ROM flashed twice
.67 is not rootable at the moment, but if you have unlocked bootloader, you can root it using DoomLord's kernel
and, the last thing, if you still have the issue with NFC, even if you reflash the firmware, then go to this directory and delete the folder named "USF"
go here: /Data and then delete that folder i mentioned
i will work for sure
good luck bro <3

[Q] Remove lockscreen hint

Hey guys,
is it possible to remove the "Swipe up or down to unlock." hint on the lockscreen? I thought it will disappear after 3 unlocks..
Thanks for your help
This can be only be done if you are rooted. In the system should be the icon with that hint which can be deleted so it will not appear on the bar. But even if you are rooted you have to mod the lockscreen and find the right way to do it and it's not that easy but can be done.
It's pretty easy with root.. But i don't want to root my phone at the moment because of the warranty..

If you root your phone you will not lose your warrany. You will lose your warranty if you will Unlock Bootloader only.
UB is needed if you want flash custom roms with custom kernels. You can root your phone with Locked Bootloader.

I know that but i didn't know that you can root the Z1 with LB. I only saw threads about rooting by flashing a rooted kernel and reflash the stock kernel.

I've find a Xposed module "GEM Xperia Xposed". With this module I'm able to disable the hint for unlocking and also disable the Arrows. Now I have a clean lockscreen.
What I only miss: to show the wallpaper from the launcher. I've a live wallpaper and the old lockscreen from ICS did show it. I've also try to remove the XperiaLockScreen.apk. But it shows only the default AOSP lockscreen, but not the live wallpaper.

[Q] ExistenZ Shows device model 5303, but I'm 5302

I've installed the ExistenZ Ultra ROM, everything is ok except that my device is C5302 but in the phone info it shows C5303.
Is there any way to just fix my device model?
Thanks!

If it does not break anything then there is no need to fix it, right? But If it really bothers you then you can edit the build.prop file located in the system files.

Hummm... the C5302 is not LTE and the C5303 is LTE.
I really don't know if that will affect something in my phone...

It doesn't affect anything. It just adds the option LTE to mobile settings.
On the Existenz ROM thread, it does not say which models can install it so I assume it does not matter.
