Hi!
I have HTC One phone in which i can't install any of the paid apps i have purchased already.
I can install Free Apps but not the Paid Apps.
I have the following phone info:
===============================
Android Version
4.1.2
HTC Sense Version
5.0
Software Number
1.28.401.7
HTC SDK API Level
5.12
Kernel Version
3.4.10-gddcfb8c
[email protected]#1
SMP PREEMPT
Baseband version
4A.13.3231.27_31.1131.05L
Browser version
WebKit/534.30
===============================
I searched the web where two methods were listed:
1. Unmount SD Card, Install the App, the Mount the SD Card.
This i cant do, as this phone does not have a SD card not even a sd card slot.
2. Find the file "smdl2tmp1.asec" and delete it (file is located in .android_secure folder).
I searched for the file in Astro and in PC Explorer (with hidden folders show), but could not find it anywhere on the phone memory.
Please help me in solving this issue.
I would be highly appreciative.

Should I be able to do this? I've been trying to find a solution on my own all day. Whenever I select "mount /sd-ext" I get "Error mounting SDEXT:!""
Rom: Cronus 1.53 (i9000UGJK4)
Kernel: SetiroN 1.4.7 1288
Clockwork version: 2.5.1.0
I did not install the rom with the external card inserted.
If anybody has any ideas or suggestions I will appreciate them. The only reason I bought an external card was to be able to store backups on so I wouldn't have to transfer my files after every flash, so I am a little bummed out over this.
Good day,
I have a question about replacing my external microSD card on my GNote:
1) Can I simply swap out the SD card with a new one and reboot the phone?
Other than copying off my photos and music folders on the current external SD card, what else should I be looking to move over onto the new SD card once I insert it?
I am rooted on XLA1 ROM
I have not moved any downloaded Apps to the ext. SD card
I use the built in email and messaging Apps, I do not even know if\how to tell the mail app to store mail on the external card or if it does this automatically if it detects the presence of one. (Kind of a sub question I guess)
I use Dialer one (I do not think it matters but....)
I have CWM backups to external SD as well as Titanium Pro scheduled batch backups. have not looked yet to see where these are stored and what the folders are named/
The current SD card came out of my HTC HD2 where I had done a few android builds running off SD and therefore see plenty of android created folders that I am sure are as a result of my attempts to try out Android when I was a Windows Mobile user on the HD 2.
Thanks in advance for any answers giving to this matter.

You shouldn't have to do anything. Most programs, if they don't find the file structure they're looking for in the place they're looking, will recreate it.
Thanks for the answer.
I've just flashed my SGS i9000 to CM 9.1, and i can't seem to have acess to my 8 Gb card. The Apollo player that came with the rom is able to find my mp3's in the card, but if i try to acess it through ES File Explorer, i can't find it.
If i ask for the phone statistics and choose the option SD card i can see all the files and folders, and see that the card is located at /mnt/emmc/, but it's location isn't shown on ES File Explorer.
Also i can't seem to restore my contacts backup that is in my sd card.
This is my first attempt at rooting/flashing my mobile. So please have some patience.
Thanks for the help

Edit:
I've installed Root Explorer v2.17.2, changed mounted as R/O to R/W, and have successfully accessed my external SD card....hope this info will help others with similar problems...
Reboot?
So.. I did what I planned for this weekend - installing the Carbon 4.4.2 rom. ^^
But I have a problem..
In recovery, when I select "Mount USB storage", my computer can detect both the internal storage and the external sdcard. But I can't move files to any of them. I can't even read files.
First, I thought this was a driver issue, but yesterday I noticed that I couldn't move Dolphin Browser's download location to ext sdcard.
It appears that the internal storage is listed twice in the storage directory, while only one of the links is working. The external sd however is listed only once and unfortunately not working.. :/
And by the way, any file managers work just fine. I have full access to the ext sd there..
Hope anyone can help me.

Hmm..mine also..using J1 ace 2015 android 4.4.4..also cannot move/copy pictures/music to ext sdcard..weird..is it samsung or google problem??annoying!!
I'm running the latest firmware which is the c10 UI 2.0 Android 11 I root my device and I have TWRP installed. The problem that I'm facing is that my SD card is only readable by the system or any kind of file manager irregardless it cannot he deleted or written to at all no matter what I try or how I try. This is strange because everything on the card can be read properly by the phone and system and file manager. Any ideas what I'm facing?
