After the JB upgrade I have found that my bluetooth can connect to my car and works fine for phone and Google Play Music. But Tune-in Radio and Pocket Casts won't play, the car audio system shows that it is paused despite the fact that the phone is playing. Both these apps work fine with my bluetooth headsets.
Any thoughts? I will try some other programs later to see what happens.
Oh, I should mention that these programs have worked in the past for me with the same car and phone on ICS.

Hi having problems playing spotify audio through my cars Bluetooth connection. Using phone thru Bluetooth and playing music through stock player both work fine but spotify just shows itself playing track on the phone while the car shows track is paused. Weirdly reinstalling spotify worked briefly but then original problem came back. Any ideas, and I love my spotify tunes & really miss playing them in the car. Thanks for any help/suggestions
Reg. Bluetooth Audio -
I am having an issue, likely not related to Malladus, but could be. I use my phone in my car for bluetooth phone AND Audio. Audio being the key here.
Phone is working fine. Audio, will not work with anything except the stock "Music" app. I enjoy using DoubleTwist audio player, but nothing works to get it to play through the stereo. When I bring up the music app, it works fine, when I try to play through DoubleTwist, nothing happens. The stock toyota stereo shows my phone connected, audio enabled, the phone shows a track playing, but no audio is coming through. But if I load up the default music app, it starts working fine.
This has worked fine on AOSP roms before due to the fact that there is no "default" bluetooth stack player. I've read around, and the ROM is prioritizing the stock Music app. So I went and remove the Music app with root, now no audio will play except phone calls.
I am SURE someone has run into this. Is there a fix I am missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can play music fine from the stock KK leak to my Motorola T605 with Google Music and Dsub. Try a different rom and rule out if it's a Malladus problem or not.
This only happens in my car but...
When I start the car, my handset connects.b, but the music will not play through the car. To get it to work, I have to wait until the car connects with my phone, then turn BT off and on again. Every time. Anyone else suffering from this.
My Bluetooth is working with my car. This is normal procedure that it will take a couple second to sync phone with car system. So even after a 1 minute even you load up Pandora radio or anything, it wont play on your car's stereo ? do you get any error message on phone ? The only thing which i noticed is missing artist and song title tag on my car's screen. I think it is caused by Pandora radio, cause when I restart Pandora, it will work fine. Try to reset your phone or 1st delete Bluetooth car sync profile and re-sync again. Good luck.
Do you have a Bluetooth headset connected when you connect to your car?
If so, go in to your BT device profiles on the phone, open up your headset, and disable media audio.

No message on the phone. I play though Google Music and on the phone it looks like it is playing as normal. I'm only using a simple BT device that conects through the aux port as Ford want a small fortune to supply the bluetooth adapter. I'll have a little play though, thanks for the advice.

No headset connected, nothing else via BT in range to connect to. I'll see if I can find anything else in the profiles though.
Maybe it's Google music. I will try to play music whatever it's store on your memory. I know it seems stupid but it's good to try it. I tried my nexus on my friend's car and no issues. He own Audi, I got Hyundai with navigation. Anyway there is not a lot settings regarding Bluetooth. Like I said before, might be worth to reset phone .
I have a similar issue and it is only with my car as well. It pairs up, the bluetooth audio controls on the stereo come up, but it doesn't play unless I hit play on the phone. After that, I can skip tracks, pause, etc. This happens about 90% of the time, to the point where it almost catches me off guard when it works like it is supposed to. This did not happen with my previous phone (HTC One M8) or any of the iPhone versions I had before it.
When Bluetooth is connected to eirher my earbuds, car stereo, or speaker (not all at the same time) playing music using Poweramp, when I disconnect then reconnect, no music plays through although it is connected. Poweramp will show the song playing, but nothing is coming out the speaker, earbuds, or stereo.
Example: I'll connect to the car stereo and play the music normally. I get out the car, but when I get back in and my phone automatically reconnects, Poweramp shows the song playing, but nothing comes through the speakers. I then have to go into Poweramp's settings, clear the cache, then force stop it, to get the music to play again. Sometimes, I'll even have to restart my phone to get the music playing again.
I've tried uninstalling then reinstalling Poweramp, but it doesn't help.
Anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences?

i had a very similar experience with some bt headphones where the bt connection settings would show audio for calls, but not music. Ive had to forget and repair those headphones so many times its stupid, then after running the U1 firmware update it hasnt done it since
Anyone?
It's probably just Poweramp getting confused when the phone switches audio outputs mid-playback. Does this happen with every app or just Poweramp?
I have a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado with the GM MyLink Radio(before android auto).
Before updating to Android 10, everything here worked 100% perfectly in my truck. After the Android 10 update I am no longer able to listen to music in my truck. All other bluetooth features work flawlessly: phone calls, sms syncing, contact syncing, on screen pandora controls.
The bluetooth features that have stopped working I think are A2DP related. I can no longer listen to music via bluetooth or through Pandora and I can no longer hear google assistant through my speakers. However all of this plays out of my phone's speaker. I have confirmed all permissions are turned on bluetooth settings for my vehicle including Media audio and HD audio.
After a few tests and some struggling I decided to do a factory reset on my phone with no luck.
Has anyone else experienced similar and found a fix?
