I actually quite like the shutter feature, but constantly get the big blue tips and tricks widget which is really annoying. Is there any way to remove this?

Hello,
N1 camera is cool except one thing - it does not allow adjust shutter speed. So especially now in winter in mountains all my photos are very dark which is a pity as otherwise the quality is fairly good.
I was trying to search for any camera app that would allow shutter speed adjustment but did not find any.
Does anyone know about any good app and / or why this setting is not there by default? It cannot be so difficult to implement - every cheap camera has it...
Thank you very much.
is this even possible? If it is I'm sure your Nexus would need to be rooted
I'd take the ability to spot-meter as a substitute. Sometimes I want to expose the foreground and let the sky, or whatever, be overexposed. The camera doesn't seem to do that as it stands.
DO NOT REPLY. Looking into HTC Hero lockscreens now. no need to respond.
I've posted about this in other threads, but decided to make my own to increase visibility, since not every dev checks every post.
I really like the transparency of the Nexus Lock Screen, but don't like that I have to give up all other fuctionality (music controls, alarm controls, the look of incoming calls, airplane mode, battery low icons, etc.) So, what I was hoping for, was only the removal of the background image, leaving all other functions in-tact.
Really hoping this is possible and someone is willing to look into it.
Thanks much.

I need some help with options in this phone. First off all I found it annoying that the bottom 4 touch button light turns off in like 5 seconds. I know it saves battery but I want to have the option to keep on longer. I'm pretty sure there isn't a built in option, but is it possible for anyone here to mod this? (I think you can do it because there is a mod to turn them always off).
Next I feel that the lowest screen brightness is still pretty high. Is there anyway that I can reduce it? Possibly through an app? I'm rooted and everything so no problem there. Thanks
Many would like the option to change the time out on the buttons. Unfortunately no fix yet.
As for the brightness, many of the widgets to adjust brightness from the market will allow lower settings
I use extended controls..I don't think it was free but is highly customizable
Hi, there's one thing I don't like in the galaxy note: I noticed that the scrolling speed of lists or any screen isn't natural, it's faster than my finger.
Probably Samsung did it because it has a wide screen so we don't need to make too wide gestures, but I don't like it. I have big hands and I would prefer a natural scrolling speed (1x).
Is there a way to achieve this?
Thanks
Hello Everyone!
I am new to Android, my Galaxy Note is my first Android phone. So maybe my questions will seem stupid :
- Is there a way to quickly change between Silence/vibrate/ringtones ? Like a widget ? It is easy to switch between vibrate to ringtones, but I have to go to settings when I have to get the vibration off.
- Is there a way to be reminded of memos or tasks, like an alarm, but with memos ? An app for that maybe ?
- My screen has sometimes problems with black pixels on dark photos or youtube videos. There are huge packs of black pixel, not showing great hardware problem ? I hope not...
Thank you!

If you slide down the drop down menu you can turn on sounds or no sounds. You can also get widgets on the market that can enable or disable vibrations I believe as well.
Gtasks is an app I use to sync google tasks, there are options to put reminders (alarms). I don't believe memos in theory need reminders or alarms. I believe that to be a task if it's time constricted.
You could upload a picture here, and we can see if we can replicate the issue. I don't have my note yet, it's on its way. But I'm sure someone else wouldn't mind taking a look at it.
Cheers

If it is "sometimes" then usually it is not a dead pixel because they are "everytime"... It could be just contrast issues on the picture.
