Developer edition && Microcell == ? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone had any luck with getting an AT&T microcell to work with the developer edition One? Mine doesn't seem to be picking up on the signal and I doubt AT&T will be of much assistance...

My One picked up the MicroCell as soon as I put in my nano-SIM (with adapter). The number was already authorized for the MicroCell from years of use with iPhone 4/4s/5 and a Note II.

It works just fine for both of my microcell in the office.

My Dev edition ONE works with my microcell no problem.

Using on AT&T

Anyone bought a IS with AT&T 3G bands and used it yet on their network. Looking to buy one but wanted some user feedback first.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but I am wondering the same thing. I was looking at ordering one from OmegaCell.com to use on AT&T. Anyone have any experience with them or with using the IS on AT&T?
[It's worth it to order one at that price if I can get the $15 Unlimited data plan, so that's what I'm really interested in.]
I bought the Incredible S (Model S710a) from Bell and unlocked it on the Telus network. They use the same 3G bands as AT&T.
I recently bought an IS, and am using it on AT&T. I bought it unlocked. I only just got it today, but so far so good. Seems to work with their HSPA+ reasonably well, as downloads are amazingly fast compared to my previous phone (HTC Hero).
I bought Bell's version outright on thesource.ca and I unlocked it with cellunlock.net. Use promo code crackb50 for a 50% discount

It should be noted that when I used that site, firefox complained about their security certificate.

[Q] flash AT&T on verizon note 3?

So my father in law pre-ordered a note 3 for me.
Yet I am not on Verizon. I am on AT&T.
I have been flashing for years on my androids, But, I am unsure if I can flash AT&T firmware to make it work properly on my network. (at least until I start flashing other roms!) Any help would be good.
I don't want to sell or trade it in, MY Wife would be sooooooo pissed!!! she would definately know.
So, can i just reflash AT&T firmware on the verizon phone?
Thanks in advance.
From my understanding nope. Something to do with the bootloader. To be totally honest I don't know the details, I just tried to find that out a year ago when looking for phones on craigslist.
Tell your wife there's nothing you can do and sell the thing. It's not that big of a deal really. You'll get a pretty penny for it and will be able to have almost the entire price of a new one from verizon.
Vzw is cdma and att is gsm the phone will not work. There is no fixing hardware in the phone

Yup, won't work. Even if you could flash the ATT ROM, the hardware is different.
I have a similar question. Can I flash international and other gsm roms on a tmo note.?
Like I can on my s4?

Just switch to Verizon and cancel ur AT&T service. It is impossible to flash AT&T onto verizon device.

what? Why? What kind of relationship are You in!?
The posts here are ALL INCORRECT...... YES Verizon is a CDMA carrier, But what does there LTE run on??? GSM....
NO you cant flash AT&Ts Note 3 rom on a Verizon note 3. Just pop your AT&T Sim card in, Set up your APN and set the phone to GSM only and BAM it just works no root no mod no nothing.
You WONT get LTE, Only 3G and Edge.
This works on the Verizon Galaxy S3 and the Verizon Galaxy S4....
Some necessary info . . .
"You WONT get LTE, Only 3G and Edge"
The S4 will work perfectly on AT&T, by simply calling them and asking for a free SIM card, assuming you are an AT&T customer. And, LTE works perfectly, as well.
~Speaking from experience.
the verizon note 3 is already factory unlocked all you have to do is go into the settings and click GSM and set ur apn settings and you will not get LTE but you will have hspa+ and full talk and text with no issues

[Q] Verizon LG-G2 locked ?

I am sorry to start a new thread, but this is sort of an emergency.
My Lady Susan upgraded to an LG-G2 on Verizon a couple of months ago, and we were assured it was a World Phone. We called Verizon Tech Support, got transferred to the International Travel folks, requested it be unlocked if necessary for use in England and Scotland. They assured us over and over that this phone is not locked in any way and all she would have to do is obtain a sim from some provider like Three in London and put it in and set up the APN as necessary for the LG-G2 to just work over there.
They warned us to pull the Verizon sim out before turning it on in the UK or she might incur international roaming charges - tried to sell her some kind of plan to mitigate that possibility in the process, but admitted that it was unnecessary if she was careful to not have her Verizon sim installed while the phone was powered up in the UK.
She got over there this morning, found a Three store in London, and they told her her Verizon LG-G2 was LOCKED to Verizon-only and could not work with any other provider at all.
She is currently without data or even a UK cell number. Was Verizon wrong about the LG-G2 being possible to use in the UK, or was the guy at the Three store wrong ?
We are not concerned about LTE speeds, most of the area she is traveling through is 3G only at this point anyway. She needs data though, for Hangouts if nothing else.
If the LG-G2 is useless over there, maybe she can buy a pre-paid phone for the two weeks she is traveling. Any suggestions ?
I have told her to find another Three store, or an O2, or anybody that might have a clue, but I fear it was Verizon that was clueless when they told us it would "just work". I use only Nexus devices myself, and my Nexus5 would not have this problem !
To be clear, this is a stock Verizon LG-G2 with the recent LG stock KitKat firmware received and applied via OTA. Not even rooted.
Both Vodaphone and Three shops in London have told Susan today that her Verizon LG-G2 is carrier-locked by Verizon and cannot be used in the UK on either Three or Vodaphone. So, for the next two weeks she is on WiFi only. They both tried to sell her a phone and plan for about $100, so she would have something to use while traveling.

Its not locked, they are incorrect... I don't know the UK market but couldn't she just get a prepaid SIM and set the APNs herself (Verizon global mode phones are notorious for not getting APNs from the SIM)?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
She could, if she could...
I told her she would need to set her APN up and change her network mode to GSM instead of CDMA/LTE, but she got That Look in her eyes, so I told her the nice people at the shoppe would be able to help her. And to get a prepaid for mostly data and call me over Hangouts.

Very odd. When I was in the UK a year ago, I used my 'carrier locked' Verizon S3 just by buying a sim from Tesco (major grocery retailer) and upping my balance when needed. Was fairly pain free. And that was when phones were more locked down, and all new phones claim to be global in that sense.

I know, right !
I think she just got a couple of nincompoops at the shops she went to yesterday. Maybe she will have better luck today in Edinburgh.
There can't be anything that wrong with the LG-G2 that it won't work on a GSM sim in Europe. When we were in Italy last year we used both Wind and TIM Sims in Verizon World phones set to GSM mode, worked fine even for playing Ingress.

Just a thank you update...in Edinburgh this morning she was able to find a competent shop clerk and now is busy hacking Ingress portals with cheap and functional sim data ! She kept trying based on your advice until she found someone not trying to sell her a prepaid phone.

All Verizon LTE phones are SIM unlocked, it's part of their deal with the FCC.

Has anyone tried the Nexus 6 on a Sprint MVNO?

Greetings!
I purchased a Nexus 6 from T-Mobile and have used it interchangeably on both T-Mobile and Verizon without issue. Well, the phone has no issues, but the networks do. I just moved to a building where I get ZERO Verizon coverage and ZERO T-Mobile coverage. T-Mobile will eventually fix this with WiFi calling, I think, but to my great surprise Sprint seems to have service here! My coworker's S5 on Sprint works just fine.
So, I'm interested in trying out the Nexus 6 on a Sprint prepaid plan for a month to see what the service is like. Has anyone tried using the Nexus 6 on Sprint prepaid, Virgin Mobile, Boost, etc? It would be awesome to go buy a SIM card at Walmart or something and try it out for a month. Curious to know if anyone has any experience with this, though, I think it's a bit of a niche situation
-Collin-
I don't see it being an issue. You would get the sim and have to activate on their network. The cdma part has to be provisioned for phone calls. Ting is an mvno of sprint. https://ting.com/blog/device-update/

i believe only google play or motorola will work,at least that's what ting and android police say
It all depends if the IMIE is on file. Or if they will add it for you. My apologies, I didn't catch the TMO part earlier. But I read some got the TMO version activated on Sprint. So it's possible the IMIE was sent to sprint along with the Playstore versions as well.

Using the project Fi sim in other phones

Hey guys, was just curious if any of you with project Fi have slipped your sim into another phone to see if it worked. I have a note 2 running cm12.1 and have my Fi invite already, I just can't find a nexus 6 that someone wants to sell at a reasonable non inflated price.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk
It probably cant handle the 'seamless' network switching. I think it will work for basic GSM since it is a MVNO, but there's also project Fi built into the nexus 6 image. Just give it a shot, it can't hurt if you dont wanna get a nexus 6.
It works but its shaky. Tried it on a note 2 and iPhone 5s. It doesn't work very well but it works.

I was wondering the same thing. Wonder what network it will stick to by default if used in another phone? Probably whatever the phone is most compatible with...
On the buying the phone at a reasonable price issue, I got mine on swappa. Have used that site 5 times so far, 3 sales, 2 purchases. Highly recommended.
Yeah. I'm keeping an eye on swappa. I am assuming I'll be stuck to the T-Mobile towers as the n7100 international doesn't have a radio that is compatible with sprint. I don't really care to much about the network switching. I just want to have data and cell service.
Anyone in the south west Florida area that would mind letting me activate the service on there nexus. I read it requires a N6 to get it activated before switching to another phone.
