[Q] Lg optimus 2x usb doesnt work

Hi, since ive installed nova rc 20-41, the usb connection doesn't work. It recognizes nothing but it charge. I updated to the latest version nova hd rc 24-50 and it still doesnt work. What do i have to do to repair the usb?

seeing that the phone charges means your usb-port isn't broken.
what type of usb connection did you set? ums/mtp/ptp?

I set all of them and nothin happens. It is a problem of kernel or base band?
I live in france.

Welcome in my world. I have the usb connection not working from 6 months ago.

Do you us Windows XP? You need to turn off usb debug in Windows XP to let it work

I have the same issue using MIUI. I am currently looking for ways to enable it again but to no avail as yet.
Alternatively MIUI has an inbuilt WIFI file transfer app, or there are plenty on the market you can choose from but obviously the transfer speeds are not as quick (i.e. 'software data cable' is a free, easy and safe WIFI file transfer application).

I've been facing the same problem since I installed temasek's ROM...Can someone help us ?

The problem is when ever I attach my lg p990 with PC it hangs and then I have to take out battery and restart my phone I m. Using the third option USB mass storage plz help. U can plz reply on [email protected] thank u

Have you turned off Debug Mode on your mobile phone? (USB Debugging)
Try to do that. You can find it in Developer Options.

I had these issue b4. Using temasek rom thou.
Installed these LGUniteMobileDriver.. and solved
Courtesy of Temasek
I cant posted the link becoz newbie restriction
Look for temasek mediafire folder, under Lg optimus 2x - misc

Django 1.3 rc2 rom usb internet sharing problem

i use this django 1.3 rc2 rom with kernel 1.8 and i can use all features without problem. but i can't share 3g internet through usb on my phone and i can use only wifi hotspot connection. is there a solution for this. i have already lg pc suit connection problems and i have all my drivers on my pc. when i use stock rom (2.3) i have not any problem that i exper now.

First the ROM configuration is not the latest.try the new one and see.secondly, try another kernel and check
try this and see...if not can try to check other things

yes i noticed but i have connected ususlly 3g by my phone on my pc. its special problem i think. and i can not see any problem but this. i didnt try 1.5 rc3 but i will

i didnt try for rc2 by trying any kernels for fixing the usb connected internet problem. but ill anyone has any experience?

yes i tried some kernels included guestkernel 1.3.1 but i couldnt solve the usb tethered internet problem on different pc s . any experience? i have just one problem with django 1.3 rc2 ;

i solve the usb problem i install the cdc driver then it works clearly.
i have used sygic for GPS but i hate this. is there anyone suggest a good alternative

Problem Wifi on [ROM 4.1.2 - 4.2] JELLYBAM - v3.3.0

I recently installed on the phone
[ROM 4.1.2 - 4.2] JELLYBAM - v3.3.0 [29/12] [p970] [PA.AOKP.CM10]. Perfect! Phone behaves perfectly but I can not connect to wifi at home. Other terminals can connect to the router (laptop, other phones, tablets), but the phone does not recognize my router! What solutions do I have?

Change the channel to something below 11, cause cm cant recognize higher ones.

He could change the nvram.txt (every time after flashing a new nightly) as described here:

This helped me and others.
I hoped the devs would repair this but in CM10.1 it is not fixed.

i just recently changed rom to Zence Fil V17 Rain "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1898413". this rom use a new wifi driver....
i belive it user another wifi driver than other rom because i can now connect to my school wifi (where in my experience in using other custom rom, i was unable to connect even i wait for 30 minutes) plus it was state in the rom changelog.
my question is, how do i port this rom wifi driver to other rom??

Try this. I'm not sure it will work, but it's worth a shot. Credits: BlackRabbit1703 for the idea.
Grab the sdio.ko, tiwlan_drv.ko, tiap_drv.ko files from system/lib/modules. Place them in any other ROM and try connecting to your school network. If it works then you have "ported the WiFi drivers".

[Q] Need help with CM10 4.1.2

Today I installed CM10 on my xperia x8 the nAa kernel which ending in .32
Everything is normally installed, the phone started but WiFi won't work
Whenever I activate it, it turns off automatically and I can't connect to the Internet.
Do you have a solution?

Maybe you've flashed wrong one, flash nAa-5 or 6 kernel because it uses newer wifi driver.

I have the E15_2.6.32.61-nAa-06, so i must to install 05 ?

I tested with 05, wifi won't work :/
