Change Tap sound - LG Optimus 2x

Hi everyone as title i want to change the sound effect when tap an icon on the phone.I've tried to put the galaxy S3 sound "bubble"(reneame TW_Touch.ogg in Effect_Tick.ogg and place in /system/media/audio/ui/) but when i reboot the device and tap on icon a don't hear any sound.
Can anyone say me why this method won't work?

Up please!

its not there. you gotta find it by yourself. but im definitely sure you are close.

File name depends on your ROM (which u have not mentioned) .... If you are using CM 10/10.1 ROM then its definitely as you said Effect_Tick.ogg in system/media/audio/ui .... But did you give the correct permissions to the file as rw-r--r--

Are you saying that you have no sound (sound not on) or that you are missing a specific sound file (called "turn on")?

yes friend
In system/build.prop
Change ro.config.play.bootsound=1 (to turn on)
Change ro.config.play.bootsound=0 (to turn off)
Stolen from HO!NO!
My friend I did that but I notice some files missing in /system/bin I don't see bootsound.bin what about that?
I add that binary in /system/bin and don't take the change

[MOD]Boot Sound Enabler

I have made this file for martin255 but i decided to post it here for everyone to use. all it does is enable the boot sound where the bootanimation plays.
installation is simple just copy the file to the root of your sdcard and flash from recovery if you want to change the boot sound just replace the mp3 in the /system/media folder and set the correct permissions.
here is the download link
www.multiupload.com/NH88U2AQES
i will try to enable a shut down sound aswel for v3 why v3 because v1 didn't work as it wasn't setting the the permissions correctly
enjoy the boot sounds
nice work even when i dont wanna have a sound
Thanks mate, will try it when I go home
Do you think it would work with any 2.3 CM7 and 2.2 CM6 such as Froyo Optimum?
For me it didn't orked.Runnin RC5.
Not working The script installed successfully and the .mp3 file was in sys/media but there isn't any sound while booting.
no problem i will have another look to see whats going on

[Q] Adding Touchwiz Framework to AOSP Roms Inquiry

Hi Guys,
I just want to check if is there a way to flash touchwiz framework to an AOSP ROM for some samsung applications to work? In my SGS2 before, there is a Touchwiz.zip that can be flashed to MIUI ROM to have Touchwiz added to the actual ROM.
Thank you
I would really like to know that too.. Im really interested to try aosp rom (becouse tablet UI), but I personally doen't like aosp calendar and clock apps..
Open the ROM.zip
go to /system/apps/
insert the TouchWiz.apk in apps folder *MIND IT dont give spaces btween app names as Touch Wiz.apk it will give FC Error alwayz*
no need to remove any other launcher included over there
JUST flash this rom and BINGO.....................
Ive no idea of whether we need to fix permissions on new inserted .apk files
Take that risk PLEASE and LEMME noe if u get any errors
Is there any updates with this?

To make it work, you need all tw framework and its not only in those tw-framework-res but in almost all bits. And so it makes it extremely difficult to port and easy task would be to flash a tw based rom. Much easier

Then I take the challenge, I'm downloading the stock rom right now to extract the same three files from it, and put them into the ProBAM ROM... we'll see

[MOD] Phone calls on CM10.1 / AOKP 4.2.2

Hey guys, this is my first post on the forum.
Many people got phone calls on stock ICS, then changed to 4.2.2 and lost it
But while seeking the forum, I GOT IT AT LAST!!
Although, it has a bug, which is when u receive a call and slide the call button, as soon as u press it it says "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped working", but it might work perfectly on other ROMS
I tested it on Infamous ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2220912
Here it is :
Format System (No data wipe required if ur reflashing same rom)
Install ROM, Gapps, and the file attached
Fix permissions (just incase)
Dont reboot untill u do all of that, as in dont reboot in the middle of the procedure.
There u have it
Please tell me if it worked
EDIT : works perfect on infamous 1.7.2, just extract the zip file, paste all the files in their place, and keep the phone.apk untouched (keep the original phone.apk Cruz it works)
P.S : i really appreciate Khomsn for making the CM10.1 build with phone calls, but that build is REALLY laggy.
Thank you everyone.
P.P.S : u have to flash i9103DXLP2 modem (has to be that number specifically) really important to do, link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40754968&postcount=15 (thanks John Kester )

Thanks for the effort, but this isnt working for me. I cant even get the phone apk to show anywhere. Im not even sure ifi t installs one. If there is another installation method that isnt mentioned here but that I need to do please refer me to that. Otherwise after flashign th one file above and fixing permissions I get no phone apk to even test this. Im on the infamous rom as well.

Umm... i just installed the phone.apk from Khomsn's thread as a normal apk and that seemed to fix my problem.
Otherwise. Just push the phone.apk in /system/app/ and fix permissions (i dont think fixing permissions is neccesary but i just do it incase)
Yea, Ive done that a few times and I cant get phone.apk to show in the apps list after install.

Consider installing gapps that contains a phone apk after which you flash the phone fix above. Your tab should make calls flawlessly but know that the speaker is set to off by default so you have to activate it when making a call.

Ok thanks for the reply I do need a link to the GAPPS with a phone apk though , unless of course the GAPPS for the tab 10.1 comes with it but why would it. If Im wrong please let me know.
EDIT: Ok so my bad, looks like I need a 3g tab and I have a wifi tab. Thanks for the help nevertheless.
Do search for gapp of 20121212, it contains a phone apk. Gapps for custom roms often contain the apk.

i think it's the META-INF that's the issue.
i'll try to put them in another zip and reply.
BTW: i've got a build of infamous aokp with phonecalls "without the need to do anything" but i think im gonna need permission to upload it.
But for the time-being, i think installing the phone.apk like a normal app will work "iv'e tried it out of curiosity and it actually installed )
but i still don't know why com.android.phone keeps FCing after opening mobile data in settings or when answering a call. Anybody got any tips.

Hello Everyone!
With permision from @nadiren, i decided to continue his work on Miui GingerBread.

Allow themes to change bootanimations
Rom Features:
Multi Language
Theme Aplying
Fast And Stable
Resized android keyboard
Zip-aligned
Dsp manager ( for best audio quality on headset)

@XDRdaniel, i've downloaded and examined the rom. there are some certain things i should mention for your future releases...
first of all, u seem u removed samsung keyboard but forgot to remove its lib files. what u should remove more:
1. t9db folder all
2. etc/permissions/touchwiz.xml
3. from lib folder libxt9core and libdhwr
also u seem u copied miui.bin scripts from ahmedafar's -by the way u should thank him also - miui but u r not running them anywhere... i'm sure ahmedsafar used some scripts to run them; examine his work again -btw don't forget to ask permission before-
u said phone.apk resized? can u tell me how u did this? me and @gadgetroid couldn't make it to recompile after altering the phone.apk -even unaltered phone.apk seems not to be compiled btw-
also the things u mention under "what i fixed?" didn't my rom have those fixes?

also from who u get resized apk? did u get his permission also? i appriciate your efforts but developing a rom is not just unzipping and putting some extra files in it... be sure to get permissions from the original developers...
btw those scripts are the key for u to solve the things u mention under "still to come"... i didn't examined ahmedsafar's rom before but it seems he solved those problems with his scripts... for me those r unimportant things -bootanimaton sound etc.- so i didn't try to solve them or looked for a solution...

MIUI 2.4.20 is pretty s*itty for taking screenshots on... I don't have Bluetooth fully functional to take a photo and send to my device... But basically, what happens is that the incoming call widget is shown automatically without the need for us to slide up. Needless to say, this will end up rejecting a few important calls when the phone is in the pocket.

We can't even decompile it without installing, leave alone recompiling. Changing any file in there causes problems with recompiling. Can't seem to understand why.
