[Q] How to root the HTC Incredible S

Yes I'm a newbie, yes I've watch the noob video, yes I looked in the forums and yes I'm still a noob.
Haven't found a good step by step on how to root my HTC Incredible S. If someone would be so courteous to make one or derect to one I would sure appreciate it

Really? Stickies in general section? Guide by lynt? Guide by nonverbose?

Normally the HTC Incredible S ROMs are rooted.. For steps to flash a new ROM, you can use the following steps:. You don't need to downgrade you HBOOT (new models have 2.0).

first of all ,u must unlocked your IS,then flash a recovery
after that,u can install root or a rom via recovery.
enjoy yourself.

Some info to root my one

Hi guys, I'm really new on the one (bought today ) and coming from my rooted one x.
My one got the welcome splash screen and shut down by Vodafone_it and some Vodafone apps installed. My question is if my one is a branded one, and if I have to follow a particular procedure for rooting.
In bootloader mode I see m7-ul
Any suggestion welcomed

Just use moonshine or revone. Process is the same for all variants. No, I won't post a step by step guide, just go read the threads.

My one's m7_ul from Vodafone Italy cid vodap405.
I read topics about rooting and soffing but I won't doing something wrong...
For the rooting I think there s no problem following the Mikes one. Right?
To soff I have to change my cid? Also..it's better to change my cid?

[Q] New to Android: How to flash a new rom questions

Okay... I have looked around, saw a few guides, Think its 90% clear to me how to do this.. HOWEVER just to be certain::
First I unlock through htc website..
Root it, then add a custom recovery (clock work mod tool i think??)
Then flash it somehow?
I would appreciate if someone could direct me to a super noob friendly guide on how to do this?
The plan is to put on a google play edition ROM onto my new normal HTC One.

Hello everybody so i bought myself a htc desire c in uk on tesco its bootloader is locked can anyone who knows how to do it give me a step by step tutorial im runing windows xp if that means something anyway please if anyone know how to unlock bootloader of desire c and install cwm then please provide me some instructions thanks and if my english is crazy sorry

What were you doing that your phone is stuck at bootloop? I guess you didn't flash the KERNEL(boot.img)

nope I fort I was like a samsumg were you could flash strait away without boot img but I got it sort and flashed a rom to it sorry not been on for a while just seen the comment and thank you for your reply
