Glad to see him pick one up and hopefully get us off and running. I think it's just a matter of time for dev's to realize the possibilities of 3D and this phone.

I messaged him before about developing for this phone and he said he wasn't. He's not even going to keep the phone.

Really? Damn. Can't say I'm too surprised, considering his twitter post and how unpopular this phone seems to be among devs. This thread made me reconsider returning my Thrill, but I guess I'm out
Everyone with a Thrill is still in their return window - I think the smart move is to return it and wait like a week for the GSII, or if you can wait longer, see if AT&T gets the next Nexus. Those will both get developer support for sure.

Even though there doesn't seem to be much for development on the Thrill so far, I am still optimistic that there will be. Just like the Atrix (which really wasn't drawing devs to it with the encrypted bootloader), they eventually came and now there are some pretty decent ROMs for it out there. They are now on cyanogenmod ROM beta 4 and looks to be pretty stable for the most part.
With the 3D capability on this, I really think that it will start drawing some. There are more and more 3D phones in the works, and if they want to get off on the right foot when even better ones come out, it would be smart of them to start off with one like the Thrill or Evo3D IMO.
Time will tell. Overall, I see good things from the Thrill in the near future.

I really hope the thrill draws some devs. Some people think the 3d is a joke, but I love it. As powerful as the GS2 is, to me it didn't have anything that new over my G2. I know its sick hardware and the super amoled+ is beautiful, but I'm going to stick it out with the thrill.

I dont know it seems like we as a species are spoiled lol... look at us, we have a frikkin phone that is basically a PC in our hands and we are complaining. Ohhh the 3D isnt as good as hoped, it takes 12 nanoseconds longer to open that app on the thrill, what do you mean it took 5 seconds for youtube to fully load RUBBISH! Lmao if this is how we are now, we may be doomed.
Well on a lighter note, I will be sticking with the Thrill as well

Hi everybody.. im from the xperia x10 forums... and i really really wanna get this device but since i have to wait like a year for the T i thought i could maybe make somehting for this community!

Yes Please. Not sure if I can help you test as I am a heavy business user, but if I can I will.

I would wait till FXP 148 when more or less everything on the T will be fully fixed then ask champ for permission to use KXP and give a few tests?
When I eventually get my BL unlocked (I will eventually!) I'll test and continue my roms from Xperia Neo too

To be honest, and as tila acknowledges above, I think we're all better off if you want to tackle it mcsquizzys98. Having too many ROM's under one dev tends to lead to burn out etc... nothing personal tila, I love your products so far, but the more the merrier in this case!

Sorry, I don't think I explained it properly. What I mean is tilal has a lot on his plate, and I think it's better if you take a stab at this as opposed to tilal doing it. He realized after your post that you wanted to do it, and I am all for that idea!

CM10 dropped for the p990
So I'll try to do my best to compete with my fellow devs and friends Tony and Temasek hehe
I don't own a p990 anymore so I'm searching for a couple beta tester for testing the new domination jellybean
I'm searching for people that know how to make logcats, dmsg's and how to recover their phone when it isn't booting the ROM properly
Since I don't have the phone the ROM "might" be stuck at the booting process
It is booting perfectly fine on a lot of different phones models so It should be no problem
Any how I'm searching for 2 beta testers

Would really love to testing your stuff. But I'm not that good in logcats and so on.(but I can learn )
I do know how to brick/unbrick my phone and have been testing out a huge amount of roms since summer -11.
Hopefully you will find your testers and make some magic

I do wonder why you don't work on a new MIUI ROM instead? All the current MIUI ROMs are completely outdated, and yea, there are plenty of MIUI fans around, just imagine the fans if we get someone like you to further develop it

I am really looking forward to see new roms based on CM10. To be honest I think it is too early as CM10 has too much bugs. I would at least wait 2 weeks until the most problems are sorted out.

We don't want to lang his real work immediately he deserve credits for it
Just like the way Temasek en Tony are doing it right now

I would love to work with MIUI
The only problem is that I don't own a p990 anymore and miui requires a lot of flashing failing and starting over

Sorry but I will state my opinion every time I think it makes sense. Actually you are right that there are not much bugs. But that the Mic gets muted and that there is call noise during call are major bugs and really show stoppers. Before this issues are fixed it just makes no sense to release any rom.
Of course that does not mean it is not the time to start baking a few nice roms. It is just too early to release. However owain already stated that he will not release the rom yet due giving respect to RC. I think this is the way to go. Now it is just a closed beta. I am really looking forward to see this rom when work is done :good:

In a couple of days, i receive my LG 4x, and i think for "a few dollars more" (=donation) we will get a lot of funny dev-stuff in the future.
The 4x is still a young model

Well, to be honest, people should donate to show appreciation for the job done. I understand nobody HAS to develop a ROM for us, so it's nice to feel appreciated when they do. And they do have PC maintenance, broadband bills and electricity bills to pay in order to develop them for our use.
On the other hand, I agree that we shouldn't HAVE to donate in order to have ROMs. That type of strategy is just not the way I think this sort of stuff should get done.

Well, remember guys that we have kholk in our community because of money collecting that i organised xD (ofc He bought the phone of that) I'd thought that He's the developer who has high exp. with Tegra3 phones, so.. Yes, He didn't unlocked bootloader but His developing is just great, You guys will see it very soon

Donation is an incentive, a way to recognize others work. I see it that way.
But of course, after having good results, not average... If it's good, 100% functional I'll donate, otherwise forget it

I would absolutely absolutely absolutely love you if you could get AOKP on this phone. Life would be perfect and glorious.

AOSP style roms are desperately needed on this phone., I love this device but hate the lack of development for it. I wish I was more talented with technology or I would try cooking something up myself. Anyway's I'm looking forward to your progress good man and I will be following your post's diligently.

What's the update here? It's cool with me if things are still "two weeks" away. But whether or not it's still actually happening would be nice to know. I'm just hoping that Zombienaut still wants to make this happen.
On a similar vein, if one were a complete newb, does anyone know how that person could learn enough to be able to tweak AOKP for addition to this phone? How much work would it take to learn, and how/where would one go about getting started?

It's been a long and frustrating ordeal. Trying to work on this while having a job and going to school is making it take longer then expected. Progress is seemingly well, however. The ROM boots, but without working data, WiFi, etc. So please keep patient.
