I love my HTC one but I miss the rich notifications I had on my Galaxy Nexus (the option to 'fold out' a notification to see multiple mails for instance) . I thought that it was a feature of Android 4.2 but now I have seen a YouTube review where the HTC one has rich notifications! I've attached a still from the video. So am I missing something here?

As many people suggested SMS pop is great, if you just want SMS pop up. You could also try chomp SMS and GO!SMS, you'd have to get use to a new texting app though. GO!SMS is nice though IMO. I prefer stock ICS Message app but meh
On my note 2 when someone replies to one of my threads or messages me I would get a notification but it doesn't work on the HTC one
Anyone any ideas ? I've looked at the settings and can't see anything
Thanks

When you first launched the facebook app, did you sync when given the option?
Even though that option is for contacts, I noticed with previous phones that if I don't sync it I won't have notifications come through.

That's bad coding in the FB app... Not the One. Same with xda app.. Scrolling is jittery. Nothing to do with the phone though.

none here...unless you count the lag of the time it takes for my finger to inch towards the screen.....
Never in Sense itself, occasionally in some apps but that's more coding or internet issue than GUI lag. This is the most lag-free phone I've ever owned.
Does anyone know what causes this? Third day with this device, came from a sensation but I never had this issue. Looked up the issue and a post Said that it's caused by playing audio with the screen off...
I didn't do that?
And the 2 posts were from people with HTC ones.. anyone know why?

thats triggered when you have notification comes in. when notifications come in while screen off and you play a sound it triggers the audio_out_4
set your phone to vibrate and it wont trigger.

Thanks, you helped me figure out the problem! It was hockey and goal alerts from 2 programs. Disabled them and voila! So apparently it could come from apps too! Thanks!

Hi i am the proud owner of an amazing Razr i but i have discovered one issue as it may or may not be. When recieving emails or sms messages the screen does not light up does anyone else have this issue i find it quite annoying
Mine doesn't do this either, I assumed it was normal...

Although i am very impressed with this phone i think this is quite a flaw the phone should definetly light up on incoming emails texts etc. I hope they bring out an update to fix it.

It`s not a flaw. There`s a LED to notify you, no need to waste battery using the screen.
You could also use the new active notifications app, it works very well.
