I've looked into MIUI. It would have to be CM10.1 or AOSP based because their PatchRom tool doesn't like our 4.1.1 stock. Stock rom was a smali patch nightmare, but CM\AOSP should be more compatible. If Miui wasn't closed source it would be a lot easier to work with.
Not commenting on Ubuntu Touch cause I've never looked at what needs to be done for us to have it.

cool thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info hopefully we see it someplace soon Ubuntu touch shouldn't be to bad to Port from the gnex right now I'm told it is basically CyanogenMod but who knows this is just stuff I read in random corners of the internet but I have it on my nexus 7 and its pretty nice but for sure something you'd use with multirom because it's still only a preview

Stable CM10 JB for galaxy note?

Hi
I am sorry as i don't know whether i am in the right section. I saw the cm10 stable is available for gtn7000, which i guess is for tmus only. Anyone knows when will be the cm10 for intl comes out?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
What is a tmus? The gt-n7000 is the international note. There are tons of cm based ROMs that are entirely stable including the official.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
Hi,
Tmus is the mobile us I guess. When I checked there was only nighties available from official cyanogenmod. But I saw stable cm10 in get.cm from quincytmo. I can't post the link here as I am a new user.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
You will only get edge in most us areas on T-Mobile...they are updating though...
As for stable cm10...pretty much every one posted here including entropy512 official cm10 are all stable st this point...
I personally prefer utacka paranoid android...
Official doesn't mean stable or not...it is just a title... but official cm10 is indeed very stable... get it from here though not get.cm
Important to back up your efs... use k-tool
Also note your T-Mobile APN settings to get internet and MMS working...most ROMs don't have T-Mobile APN programmed
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
---------- Post added at 08:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:54 PM ----------
Sorry I misunderstood thinking you were on T-Mobile...just reread...
The cm10 builds on this website are NOT for T-Mobile only... I am not quite sure where you read that... you can use with any carrier anywhere so long as you have proper APN settings..and forget get.cm website... look in the dev sections here...
Be very careful flashing anything make sure you read up and are well aware of the brick bug... read the stickies..

I will try that then. I am based in UK with 3uk network.
Thanks for your time.

I can recommend JellyBam, as it is very smooth and has a lot of setting options. But as some already mentioned, it's completely up to your taste...

[Q] AOKP ICS development for the S5830?

There is a lot of development for Jelly Bean going on for our Aces. But sometimes it seems like ICS is getting neglected. Especially AOKP projects. Is there a currently active AOKP ICS for the SGS Ace S5830?
I found this one here on XDA but it appears to be abandoned.

I don't particularly like the Jellaxy ROMs on paper (I can't say that I have tested them though), plus they are based on Jelly Bean. I don't think that my little Ace should run Jelly Bean as it has such limited storage space and RAM.
If you can convince me that Jelly Bean on the Ace is worth it then brilliant

Will do my friend. I once thought that jellybean wasn't for my ace as well. And the cool thing is I'm not using any tweaks. Let me find the link to the rom I'm using and ill post it. Would you care to try it?

Sure, a list of what's working and what's not would be useful, as well as available internal memory, RAM usage, battery life and screenshots

I can provide screenshots of what amount of ram I'm able to get out of the rom. The link ill post will have whats working and what's not. Plus its usually updated with the latest sources. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1958867
There's the link. I recommend you try it for at least 3 or 4 days to allow it to settle. I'm getting over 100 mbs of free ram on idle after using all day with just the apps I use. After reboot I have around 135 mbs of free ram.

Interesting ROMs. The AOKP is based on JB? How does the dev want us to apply gapps without flashing them?
Any major issues with this ROM?
Yes its jellybean based. The gapps are on the first page of of the thread. Make sure to get the one for jellybean. You'll flash them like you flash the rom. Right after you flash the rom.

5.0.2.6 I believe. Something like that. Too lazy to check ATM. Earlier in this thread you said you were running a Jellaxy ROM. This isn't Jellaxy. What's up with that? And what's the difference between a slim ROM and a regular ROM?
Its slim jellaxy basically. Its pretty barebones. It gives you more space for user apps. Its based on jellaxy sources.

What's a boot splash? What is the effect of a reduced file system size? What's with the SU?
