[Q] Safe procedure to format internal SD

Hey guys.. I have flashed a few roms to my Raider now, but my internal SD is a mess - lots of old left-over install folders, leftover app bits..etc. When I'm in CWM Recovery, I found an option to format the internal SD card. My question is this: What will that wipe? Everything?? Does it wipe out my CWM and the installed ROM as well?? I'm scared to try it, bc I don't want to brick my phone. I'm not real familiar with pushing files to the SD card thru ADB (actually I just know its possible, no idea what the commands are) so I don't want to have to go that route, but I'd REALLY like to wipe my internal storage and clean it up.
Ideas?
I recommend going into your settings when your booted into android. So long as you have no apps installed to the I.internal sd card you are safe to format.

i would not use the CWM option to do that, it is a port and not fully supported and i know on some other devices (not sure about vivid) but that would soft brick the device
I always use the windows format and change the allocation size while I'm at it. Just backup what you need and copy it over when you are done. Since there are a lot of leftover bits I'd recommend not doing a quick format. The method in which you format probably doesn't matter but I like working from the computer when it comes to this stuff.

And formatting the *internal* storage from USB storage mode in Windows won't clear out my HoliRaider ROM? I just don't wanna brick my phone its running awesome now thanks to bananacakes.

No, the rom is installed on its own partition. I've formatted with no issues after I rooted and debloated my phone

This happens when external SD is there.Try removing the SD card and check whether pictures r still there.
Also the gmail account sync with Picassa n pull in pictures from there.check that too.
Thank u Dr.Ketan ,it did work indeed! but the external_SD folder still carries my previous downloads?? This external_SD folder points to files of my external sd card right? how can i format files in this? Thank u.
Yes i said, you have to flash ext card with setting-storage
N select flash sd card
Or
u can format with pc like this( i recommend this)
keep usb debbuging on
Connect device, select connect to pc from notification
You will find separate drive letter for ext mory card
Rt click on drive letter n format

[Q] Holics media not showing up

I flashed the Holic room just yesterday and none of my media are showing up. I've posted this issue in many thread but none has answered me yet. How do I fix this? Please help me! Thank you!
I never had that problem with holics...
Is your sdcard mounted...
Did you clear cache on media storage...
Did your sdcard take a crap...
Did you wipe properly when you flashed?

[Q] Factory reset /0/ folder

Hi guys, how do I factory reset my HTC 802t? I've tried the delete all of cwm6.0.3.2 and the one in HTC's settings, both didn't delete the folder /0/ in which everything is stored , maybe the custom Rom too, not sure. Any suggestions? The factory reset in the bootloader sends me to cwm.
I'd like to delete it because there are 20+ gb of "other" and I don't know what they are and start anew.

in CWM go to mounts and storage, the use the "format data/ and data/media (sdcard)" option
youll loose all your apps to so make sure you have backups stored on your pc/laptop

You probably went from a 4.1 ROM to a 4.2+.
The file structure changed. Using a root enabled file explorer check "leftovers" in /data/media
all your files in 4.2+ are in /data/media/0
