Dear Experts
I am trying to figure out which procedure should I follow to root my Galaxy S3 LTE (4G).
Android version : 4.1.2
Model number : GT-i9305
Baseband version : i9305XXBMA2
I found many sites (couldn't post links to those websites) , but I couldn't locate one that deal with the i9305XXBMA2
Make sure that your Galaxy S3 phone is running on the official Android 4.1.2 XXBLL3 Jelly Bean firmware before you begin the rooting process

Could you please where can I found the root procedure for i9305XXBMA2 ?
Should I follow this ?

You found many sites? Why not xda?

there's a link to a root guide on the main page
this worked great for me for rooting(and more)
I used this toolkit and worked like a charm.

Try it its so easy just be sure to make the right choices
Try CF ROOT, easy!
http://autoroot.chainfire.eu
Or flash TWRP Recovery via Odin. Select the TWRP Recovery tar file via PDA in Odin.
Remember to enable USB Debugging in Settins\Developer options.
Shut down and hold Vol+, Home and Power, select Reboot i TWRP and it will ask to to inject SuperSU into ROM.
help please for the choices

Dude, this isnt a help or questions section, this is a development forum.
Go read the sticky threads there is plenty of info there and pretty easy to follow. I read them and had a custom rom flashed to my Tab same day I bought it.
I thank you and sorry I found several guides the only thing that I did not understand is the order to follow what flashing before or after

Before or after what?
Basically all you do is..
a) Root your device (download and use z4root from market)
b) Go to a rom thread and read instructions (Go to the rom link in my signature)
Root your device, download the rom and then follow the following guide..

Depend on your phone version, you might need to follow the procedure given in the following website:
http://rootgalaxynote.com/category/galaxy-note-root/
Then you can obtain CWM from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1329360
Just follow dr ketan guide. It is so simple.

I followed dr ketans guide. Was quite easy. But i read over the steps 100 times before i did it. Since then ive been on 3 custom roms

Hi
I have just updated my Galaxy Note to the official ICS 4.0.3 update released by Samsung here in India.
The build number :IML74K.DDLP8
Baseband Version : N7000DDLP4
I just want to root my deivce, for now, I do not want to install any Roms. Looking to root just to add universal proxy support apps and freez all the crapy bloatware.
The instructions seems to be quite straight forward. I have just one question, will the above steps work even after upgrading to the official Indian ICS version.?
Please advice...this is my first time rooting any android phone ever.
Any suggestions on the above, will the root method function even after the update to official ICS

This method talks about flashing an already rooted kernel to the device. Is it safe to do that with the hard brick warning for ICS kernels out there?
Also the description says that this method will work for all GB versions. will it work for the official ICS update of Samsung India?

1 when you connect yor phone to odin in download mode the yellow light will be blinked in id:com.
2 put kernel file in PDA only
3 uncheck re partition and just click your device will be rooted enjoy.
I just got the phone yesterday bro....how do I update to 2.3 though, ?

Follow these steps sequentially; safest, tried and tested by over 10,000 people on GT-i9000:
1. Go back to stock: Flashing To Original Rom - Using Odin on GT-i9000
2. Root your device: Rooting GT-I9000 2.3.3 [India DDJV9]
3. Install ICS: Installing Ice-cream Sandwich 4.0.4 On Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000
4. Install JB: Installing Jelly Bean 4.1 on Galaxy S GT-I9000
ENJOY

Hi,
I am new in this topic, and I want to try out custom ROMs. I have chosen the custom ROM I want to try out (for me this time it's gonig to be CM 10.2 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2435716 ), and I've read some articles and forum threads about this matter.
My Galaxy ACE S5830 runs on Android 2.2.1 and has never been flashed (as far as I know).
I just want to be sure that I won't make any mistake so I need someone to write me down full process that needs to be done. I don't fully understand what comes first and what comes last therefore it would be helpful if someone here could describe me step by step instructions. I have downloaded everything suggested including drivers, cwm, odin and root and above mentioned custom ROM.
I am new in this subject meaning that I have never done this things with my phone.
Also I am not complete layman and I have good software understanding so I don't need extensive descriptions.
