I am running ARHD 7.3 currently and right now these are the apps I have running in the background :
Adblock
SetCPU : When I turn my screen off, it will lower my CPU to the lowest.
Go power Master : Turns off my Wifi and Data when my screen is off ( currently not using this feature )
Those are the apps I have running in the background to try and save some energy.
What other settings or apps could you guys recommend?
I feel like my phone is losing battery too quick. I would have my phone out and going through the settings and learn more about the phone (Im new to Android the battery would go down 1% every 2 minute or so.
My iPhone 4S seems to last longer. But then again, my iPhone 4s is only on 3G while my HTC1 is on 4G.
there is the HTC power saver... it does his job well

I am having the same problem with my "One" (AT&T Version), but only after I restored a Dev Edition Nandroid backup.
Can you verify if your LED turns green after a full charge?
Mine just goes dim red after full charge instead of green?

I don't remember where I heard this from but, someone said that it's not good to use HTC power saver along with other power saver apps?
Is that correct?
Can HTC power saver alone be good enough to save battery?

Maybe sounds silly, but do You have 3G / HSDPA full timeturned on and/or any data eating app(s) running in the background? Usually these drains my I9000 really fast. If I take care to turn stimes 3G off (only 2G allowed) and shutting down the app(s) which run in background make my phone usable for a day.
it's 100% normal to suck so much battery life if you are constantly using 3G or WiFi or long phone calls
I know how to disable HDSPA, but how to disable 3g? :S tnahks
You are using it or something in the background is using it.
Full-on use (gaming) burns about 20% per hour in my experience. Browsing might be a little less but not much because instead of using CPU/GPU power it uses data.
The screen is the major burn, how long does battery usage say the screen has been on?
My battery drain is always pretty much exactly 20%/hour screen time + 1%/hour on time. It will deviate from this if I've played alot of music (especially streaming) since it uses power but not the screen, this drain rate will depend on the player and type of music (built-in player playing from SD card is lean, Tune-in radio streaming over 3G is a hog that heats the phone up, Slacker is in between).

Could be a few reasons for that. If you've recently flashed a new firmware your battery stats may be messed up. Just run down your battery down a few times and it should sort itself out.
Maybe you turned your phone on while it was plugged in. This usually stuffs up the battery stats and can show as much as 30% extra battery when turned on that way. Always remove the charger before booting.
Also, to turn off 3g/hsdpa/data go to settings/wireless & network/network mode and select gsm only (2g). You can also download the widget '2g 3g' which will take you straight there. Also, you can uncheck 'use packet data'. This will kill all data which saves battery. I turn it back on with the widget whenever I need data again. The power button menu also has that option. I'm on 2.2.1 so it may differ if you are on 2.1.
Pretty sure you can still text with data off but may want to test it. If message fails then no. However mms send/receive won't work I think.

i can do 5 to 6 hours straight of 3G browsing with screen on auto before it runs dry
3G + Screen = high power eaters
if i play 3D MMO (pocket craft) then it even less time

i heard there's a battery stats trick, anyone know it ?
there's no battery stats trick . its just a logfile that's stored. nothing else. the trick you're probably talking about is calibration of the battery.
drain fully, charge to full while powered off. one or two charges like this should sort it.

Hey I have a bell i9000 and I have to say that I'm extremely happy with my battery life, I've been unplugged since 9 am, its 7:30 now and my battery indicator is reading 37% with above average use (some phone calls, gaming, browsing...) I would advise you to do these things:
1) install darky's rom (9.2)
2) flash speedmod kernel 13b (very good on the battery)
3) use setcpu and set with these values, max:800mhz, min:100mhz (conservative), and add a profile for screen off with min/max @ 100 mhz and 100 priority level (don't worry, your phone will still feel snappy even @ 800mhz)
4) use a black wallpaper, since black is rendered by turning off pixels on an amoled display.
You should see some improvements, hope it helps!

Bring it to verizon and have them check it out. At worst it could be a bad battery. You can get a replacement online for 10$ or so, make sure to get a OEM one if you do.
My phone will say its fully charged at 95% or so but i let it keep charging and it gets to 100% in a bit.

The easiest way is to install the Power Control widget on a home screen. The second icon from the right (a white circle with two arrows) turns off automatic data sync for your accounts (Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Turn it off when you go to bed and back on when you wake up.
Alternately in settings->battery & data manager->Battery mode, turn on Nighttime save to turn off syncing while you sleep.
I just charge my phone overnight myself.

I don't think it's cause. Because when i uninstall all social network, and turn off data transfer. The phenomenon's still happening. Android OS is draining my battery so much.
Then I think you might just have a malfunctioning phone or bad battery.

You can try a new battery, but if it's under warranty, then sbf it back to stock, and send it in for replacement if the battery doesn't work.

I have been using my phone on wife since about 7 am. Since then, I have done maybe an hour of browsing on chrome, installed an app or 2, watch a short YouTube video, checked my email once, and played a game for 5 mins. I saw other people's battery stats and it says they have 20 plus hours of talk time? Mine says there is only 3 hours left. Is it possible I have a faulty battery? I'm also using juice defender and power save along with the brightness all the way down. I'm running android revolution hd with elemental kernel. I have the att version. Thanks in advance.

I find that based on my usage habits that I get terrible battery on Android Revolution v12. I always find myself going back to a rooted AT&T Sense build, and I'm able to pull 3 hours of screen-on time with 20% left.
Be sure to use a Wakelock Detector to pinpoint any rogue apps that are keeping your phone awake when it should be sleeping.
Also; be careful with those "Juice Defender"-type apps, Android has come a VERY long way in managing RAM, and resources since 2.2 (Froyo).
Report back with any findings
Don't mean to hijack the the thread but im having a rather peculiar issue 3g and wifi are eating away my battery like a percent for every 2-3 mins that also while only browsing web nothing else in the background can anyone help . Also im on stock rom , no root and s-off
P.S auto sync is off few apps have been disabled like (play store, facebook , google + and google search and few more)
jucie defender and power saver lol over kill i bet they are working against each other

you should use GSAM or wakelock detector to view if something is killing your battery, I have a very VERY good battery life specially since I updated to 2.24 firmware, i guess you don't have root
Check the ss I posted of gsm, and I do have root. Also, what does it say in talk time left in gsm battery monitor when you have full battery?
My battery life was great until i flashed new firmware. i'm on ARHD ROM and it was great on 11.5, with 12 i started using nova launcher and now battery life isn't as good as it was previously. Have you experienced changes with your battery life while using some custom launchers? Or that's rather caused by new firmware/rom/radio/etc?

if i was you I will do the following
-update the **** out of your ONE (firmware and ROM)
but since it would be to laborious, I probably do the following:
1 Factory reset, in android (backup your things becaus it will be erased if you do a factory reset in android, or just dont do it!!!!!!!!) and in recovery (or only in recovery =.=
2 Install a custom rom that is near to a stock rom like ARHD (do it two times with full wipe)
3 with titanium backup remove (after do a backup) the htc bloatware crap that you dont use
4 with titanium backup remove the gapss that you could download from playstore, like youtube, gmail, and specially MAPS
5 GREENIFY all apps that you dont use commonly, you will be able to greenify apps like maps and youtube
6 DONT USE SEEDER OR ENTROPY MODS!!!
7 DONT USE battery saver apps
8 set battery saver option: cpu, vibration, and if you can get use to, mark the data connection option too...
9 Use lagfix app...
10 download Trickster MOD and set you gobernator to MSM-DCVS (this could cause a little lag when you turn on your ONE)
allow to pass one day with you fresh rom, and the following day check how is your battery life
11 if you still have a not soo good battery life, try disabling media storage in apps configuration menu, maybe you have some corrupted media files that dont let media storage to scan all of your media and check if your battery life improve, if so, you should clean your media files, (because let disabled the media storage app have very high side effects)
optional
12 use mods related to a battery life of pimp my rom
13 disable location update from maps, and all location things from configuration (enable when you need them)
14 disable all autosync things that you could do manually, like dunno facebook
15 disable auto update hour and date
+++ disable google now
more optional sh*t
16 when your phone is fully changed in android, turn it off and let it charge until the led change to green, do that one time every two or three days
17 battery stats wipe whit any app of playstore
18 manage your brightness screen manually (its easy and fast in android 4.2.2)
fin...
normally i get 5:30 and 6:00 hours screen on time with a very good use (3g) but one day i get these results
BTW download the app batteryDrain is very good to check how your battery is draining
...And set the option in GSAM that show statistics since last full charge, and dont plug your phone because it could reset the statistics (well if you are reviewing your BLife that could be a problem since stock battery report of sense is almos usless)

I added a few awesome apps to my rooted s6 and i've saved about 70% on my battery life.
Greenify (will put apps into Hibernation when you turn off your phone so they don't run in background)
Smart Wifi Toggle (will turn off your wifi automatically when you leave a hotspot you've connected to before like work or home. Can also turn off wifi when your phone sleeps)
AutoBluetooth (will keep bluetooth off unless a call comes in, your currently connected to bluetooth device, or your in your car travelling for handsfree)
just these 3 apps seemed to have doubled my battery life. just wanted to fyi so people could check them out.
Thanks for the ideas!!

I swear these are a waste. Why run an app to manage your apps. If you just close out of programs and restart your phone every once in awhile your phone will be fine. It's the same thing as having a task killer app. Just open tasks on your phone and swipe away. That is how you manage your battery.

Though I might not be as harsh as you... I tend to agree. Greenify is basically like turning on the power saving option. Auto wifi might be good for convenience but it's not too bad to just turn it off when not in use. If I know I'll be away from a charger for a while I just turn on power saver and I'm golden.

This is true that I was a little harsh, but I wish people would know better. I have been using the samsung textiles for awhile and they are very convenient. 12 hours with casual use would be terrible lol. These screens are missing a gap in battery life since i was trying to flash a new build of my rom so it stuck in boot loop for at least 15mins then i had to odin to stock then reroot install flashfire and restore backup so easily an hour missed but havent needed to plug it in even this morning:

What are you doing differently elliwigy to stretch your battery out so far? Ive tried Greenify more than once but it has never impressed me. Maybe I'm not using it appropriately.
