Hi,
I wanted to change my lock animation. I mean when I press lock button, it fades out I want to change it.
So, I searched few steps but I couldnt find steps for s5570i, I found for other devices. Considering I'm new to this android stuff. Can you keep it simple?
I'm not rooted and using stock recovery and not fan of using CWM.
I rooted once and learnt that it's out of guarentee and unrooted back.
Hope there is a way.
Taha

Sent from GALAXY mini...Please Thank Me when you think I deserve it
U can use go launcher ex and then install go locker, there u have some more effects available if i'm remembering right
Guys! He means CRT animation! BTW Use screen of and lock app and then you click it's icon and it will do crt. But you can't do it with powerbutton, because it's stock ROM.
Last time I use cm10 of thewhisp up to now the effect is still there despite me in unbricking my phone 2 times

Yeah and i meant 'locking animations' with 'effects'
Searched high and low for this, didn't find anything, so I went on and did it.
Attached are flashable .zips to give the Search button the default pre-JB behaviour, allowing for in-app search and/or activate wake with volume rocker. One with both mods, one with vol. wake only + undo .zip.
Works with stock deodexed JB ROM.
Credit goes to Articudos. I have decompiled android.policy.jar, modded it for volume wake, then created the .zips modifying his (his thread is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1788719 if you want the JB key layout fix only).
Tested on my device and it works. Nevertheless, flash at your own risk.
Enjoy!

Hey mate! Thanks. By the way, does your mod work on stock ODEXed JZO54K? Got an old i9023 after frying my i9020, I want to refrain from flashing away like a mad man for a while...

If you're rooted and on GPe, you can use XPosed and GravityBox to assign custom actions to longpress/doubletap of both home and back buttons. I also have already modded GPe 4.4.2 for home longpress recent apps/double tap menu (happy to share if that's what you're using - i can't stand not having a menu button to use). If you're using Sense, the option to change home button actions are already built in to settings.

long press back and home action can be changed in android.policy.jar (phonewindowmanager.smali) (and some additions in Settings if you wanted to be fancy about it ; or with GravityBox) without any kernel changes. I'd think short press could be with some work as well, but that I could definitely be wrong about.

But with viper you don't need any edit of smali or xposed to do it
Hi all, this just a simple button remap for the back and recents keys. Let me know if you have any ideas for more remaps
For non-Treble:
Switch the back and recents keys: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634760043
Reset to the stock layout: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=889764386195916549
For treble:
Switch the back and recents keys: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410932744536984557
Reset to the stock layout: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410932744536984558
Flash it in twrp, if you have treble you need to use the latest treble twrp from codeworkx https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/development/recovery-twrp-3-x-p-codeworkx-t3844528
Enjoy

Does this change the icons as well? As is the back icon on left or is it just now the back icon is the square and recent is the triangle?

It does not change the icons, for that you'd have to change the hardware. I personally turn off the button backlight in the ROM settings so it doesn't bother me that it's the wrong icon

I flash it and works but I wanna go Back. Any way to do that without reflash my ROM?
I would like to configure Long Press and Double Press actions in my OmniRom
I finally had time to make a reset to stock zip so you don't have to reflash the ROM to go back

Can you make this work on Le 2/Le S3 (and max 2)? Didn't work on S3 for me. The buttons are killing me as my tablet uses the opposite layout.
