Hiya...
Has anyone removed the NFC sticker from the back of their phone? Mine is (annoyingly) not on straight and was wondering if it is safe to remove (I.E it isn't some kind of super secret antenna for the NFC and by removing it I will kill the NFC lol)
Thanks
Just a sticker showing where the antenna is, i removed mine when i took my phone outta the box a few months back, nfc still works Hella fine

I know i removed mine's

Yup mine was wonky and so i removed it but the BF's his one is perfectly straight, kinda pissed
Originally i hoped/thought it was an LED that glowed blue when NFC was turned on
I didn’t notice the thing until I applied the screen protectors included and was trying to smooth them out - took a second for me to realise what was happening with the big bubble and something stuck underneath it. Sony must expect you to remove it as a matter of course, otherwise why put protectors in that they definitely do expect you to put on that can not go on properly if you leave it.
That NFC sticker is the 1st thing I remove after purchase the phone.

So tonight I was using the handy led as a flashlight and clumsily dropped the phone while the flash was on. It was probably a one foot drop since I was kneeling down while using it. Anyways, the led instantly quit working after that. First thing I did was restart the phone and prayed that would somehow fix it. It didnt. This phone takes amazing night pictures, and since I go clubbing a lot, I need it back!
Anyone have experience with fixing the led flash? or know where I can send it in to get it fixed? Phone's rooted so warranty is void.
Ifixit, did a teardown, and it looks like a fairly simple piece to replace. (http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nexus-One-Teardown/1654/2)
I repair phones for a living... and in fact, I've repaired 4 Nexus One's so far... it's an annoying phone to work on (replacing digitizer, oled, port)... but luckily your repair is very simple!
There's three screws you'll need to remove on the phone located beneath the battery cover.. once they are removed, lift the black plastic beginning from the top... you can pry it off easier with like a credit card.. once it's lifted at an angle, pull it towards the top of the phone as it's slid in just a bit. After lifting the housing piece, you will find the LED module, which you can safely pry off with something plastic and soft. Do not use anything metallic or sharp as you may short, tear, or break something you are not suppose to. It's highly possible, the LED module is just loose from the fall and needs to be reseated... otherwise replace it with a new LED module, which can be found on ebay's on occassion or site's such as cellulardr.
Good luck!
I love you man. I will try this. Thanks!
i hate to zombie up a thread, but i need help finding another place that sells the LED Flash Board.

Hi guys, need your help.
Recently my flashlight stopped work normally.
Stock miui 2.3.2 flashlight app and other one downloaded from market gives no light from led.
But, when using camera, the led flashes as usually.
I run miui 2.3.2. I flashed CM7.1 to check the flashlight. With stock Torch app the led flashes only at maximum brightness.
Any ideas? Or I just need to buy a new led flash at ebay?

Why don´t you ask in Samsung Galaxy S3 thread? Here is Nexus One forum and from 2 years is dead...
You could go to an authorized repair center or if you want do do it yourself look for DIY on YouTube...
I know that the NFC chip is located on the backside, but where is the antenna located? The back or the sides?
Right above the Xperia wording. Which is why you see so many pictures of the Z with a small sticker there

It's still useless and it's in the way of a screen protector for those who put one on.
And where's your Source regarding the exact location of the Antenna?
Hey all,
i opened my Sony xperia Z the other day and wanted to know whats the sticker on the back side of my back cover.
it has connections points that my mother board touches.
I ask because i just purchased a replacement back cover and the NEW cover doesnt have this sticker. So my mother board now just touches my backcover
The NFC chip?

it's just a simple sticker indicating where to touch when using nfc. it's not the chip itself or something like this. you can safely remove this sticker. i removed mine on the very first day i got my xperia.
It's the NFC chip - if you remove it NFC will never work and your warranty is void /s
Just a sticker bro, keep it on UNLESS you put a rear panel protector, they often have a cutout for sticker and it'll feel more seamless with the sticker on then the gap.
Oh cool
Ya, I purchased a new back cover to make it look prettier. So i'm gonna probably move the NFC chip from the old back cover to the new back cover....you know....cause we can lol
-cheers
-thank you all

Its allright, you really dont need to do so.
I would like someones opinion on this phone. Its works and everything just separated a little from housing. Is there anything i could do? Maybe just a case to cover the back? The screen just has couple stratches other than that phone is fine. Here is a pic. Im getting this for real cheap. Charging port is fine too
I think you can get a a new back replacement - couple that with a skin, and it might hold together. tough to tell really from that pic though.
But a case could hold it together too? Maybe even electrical tape around the side of the charging port going up the right side of the phone?

. I was told just now from the seller over time i could get dead spots. The back is separating its not separated. The digitizer is part of the glass. Was told could get develop dead spots over time. Anyone else go through this or might have a solution to keep it all intact? Its functional the way it is i heard
Honestly, I wouldn't accept it if it was badly damaged, even for free. You can get very good phones for ~$100. Check swappa or eBay.

Cant beat 30 if fully functional no cracked screen
So I seem to have a 2-fer issue going on, first I noticed that my Flip Case stopped showing the LED lights. In reading, people have mentioned that the case uses/connects via NFC. So I went to "Settings" and clicked on "NFC & Payment" and that's when that force closed. Looks like NFC is not working on my phone. Anyone else noticing issues?
My case is working without NFC turned on in settings. But it lags and get bugged sometimes. Maybe software issue, or the case is damaged.
So Idk what did it. I attempted about 3reboots, took off the case numerous times, and finally went about to start disabling any "changes" I had in place and left the case off for an extended period.
Using package Disabler, I reenabled everything though bloatware has been disabled since I got the phone.
I switched Home back to Samsung's default. Some people have reported issues with Nova prime, though i don't have prime.
Then did one more reboot and reattached my case. Now the case works and NFC doesn't force close.
So for me, the connection is strong between the NFC settings and the case not working.
Re disabled all packages and back to using Nova....case still working and NFC settings still works. So issue is resolved, but the cause is still unknown.

I just noticed the same thing happened to me. This is not cool, to say the least.
I called samsung today and they are replacing it. They emailed me a shopping label while on the phone with them. *They have no issue replacing the cover. Just have your receipt and the cover of course ..called them and let them send a shopping label for ups. I was informed that it will take a total of 9-11 days from sending to receiving a new cover back.

Any idea guyes?
Thanks in advance

Problem solve for me
I have been having issue with LED flip cover as well. Through searching internet someone has posted that the LED work fine when the flip cover is on metal surface. So I try put the led flip cover on my ipad front and back, it seems to fine on the front (screen side better). I assume that it need something to bounce or block signal on some particular area of the phone back side.
I end up using kitchen type aluminum foil approx. 0.5- 1" width and lenght equal to the width of my S7 edge place just below the camera between the glass back and flip cover. With this aluminum foil everything work perfect. Led always show when close the flip, swipe work when phone ring or alarm on everytime, press power switch always turn on led now.
Note that since I never use NFC, interference to these function is unknown. Wireless charging is fine.
Just happy that now my LED works everytime instead of sometime. Hope this help some of you who may encounter and have been annoying with this LED flip cover from Samsung.
