well, not every video should be in HQ byt some old ones are... however try to uninstall the app and then reinstall it
The YouTube app does not support HD on any phone.
Here's a YouTube app modified with 1080p support. You need to go into settings to enable the 1080p before it will work tho.
Don't remember whos work it is tho,

-I specifically chose a hd video on YouTube, so I know that video is hd
-The YouTube app supports hd if your device is capable of it (ie: 720p res and up)
-I know that app. I have been using that app on my sensation and that modded app needs root. The thing is, I just got my One today and I don't want to root it just yet. I plan to use it in complete stock for a few weeks just in case anything should happen to it so I don't have to pay for repairing

The previous version was only 720p support. This version just got finished and now does 1080p. No root privledges are needed unless it won't install over the included version.

HQ is when you are on Mobile Data. Put on WiFi and tada, you'll have HD.
Can't install it either. I even uninstalled the original app using Titanium Backup but it still says another app exist with the same signature and cannot install.

i would try something extreme to unistall it

did you try uninstalling the app with titanium backup, restarting your phone, then installing it?
You always just use your file explorer to paste the apk into /system/apps and reboot also......fix it's permissions first of course

I forgot. Sorry. No root, no install. Adb won't work either. Your existing YouTube app is a system app. Also your stock kernal has wp on /system so it's a super nogo. Sorry I couldn't help more.

I actually decided just to restore the backup i created in Ti Backup before I removed it.
Especially after I read this comment:

Which I found out was true!
I'm not sure if HD is true 1080P or not - I was hoping to see the screen resolution fully realized in all it's glory... it did look good though (youtube the 'La Ferrari' video on Wifi and see for yourself)!
If you're looking for YouTube hd up to 1080p on wi fi or Hspda then you could try free app tubemate

Dear Forum non reader. This file was found one thread above yours called what wallpaper is this. This link was posted at the very bottom and contains the apk file from which you willl need apk manager to install and also ROOT to side load. its amazing how when i click the link it opens mediafire, i click download file and i have an apk file for seeds of life. If you dont like sarcastic remarks, I suggest you buy the wallpaper for the .78cents that it costs in the market next time instead of asking for a free version of it. Please download barcode scanner from the market and then open the application and scan this barcode. I found this bar going to google and typing seeds of life wallpaper barcode. Its in the market which is where this barcode will take you. I would hate to think that att blocked this

I'm noticing.. some market items are missing for some people..
I can't get SimplyLockscreen to show in the market either.. so I'm not surprised if these users aren't seeing certain apps in the market..
Could the apps not be showing up possibly because of AT&T Market restrictions? Seems odd but I would say root the phone, install the apk through adb or Astro. Or root phone, install MarketAccess apk, emulate T-Mobile(US or AU), then search for it in Market. (If you were gonna do the second one though, you mine as well just skip half the work and install the apk from mediafire...but supporting developers is nice, especially since it's only $0.78 approx.)
Shows up in Market through Barcode Scanner for me.
Has to be am AT&T thing....Yes I have all of the proper apps, (barcode scanner) I just couldn't root my phone using lag fix...zip file doesn't show up on recovery screen.

Yes your device will be set to US already.
The US version has a different looking start screen, with options for e-books and movie rentals.

Could it be a local problem? I´m also here in Germany and also can't update.
It is no problem at all to get to "My Apps" for sure. I think the others complaining also will get there without any problems.
The problem for me is, that I can't update a single app. Only if there is more than one app available to update, I can choose the update option.
With only one update for an app, I can only open the app description, open the app or deinstall the app.
Any Solution available?

I know this has been posted before but just found this awesome facebook chat and its widget on the EVO 3D forum! So all the Credits to Aalopez the original poster!
OK now there is a thing..after doing this it wont allow you to use friend stream (atleast i didnt manage to do it)..So if you really want the messenger to work go for it..
And please use a nanoandroid backup first!
Instrustions :
1. Download 3 apks attatched.
2. Logout of the facebook on ur phone (VERY IMP)
3. install HTC Facebook apk
4. install HTC Facebook chat
5. install HTC Facebook chat widget
6. log into HTC Facebook chat
During login it will say HTC Salsa authorize..dont worry just allow it..
Hope this helps for some people and If someone can help to fix the Issue with friendstream..That will be great!

It seems like you can't use this and facebook for htc sync together which is bad because the Facebook app sync to contacts is rubbish

That is because it is syncing your contacts through the Facebook app instead of Facebook for sense

Unlocking the bootloader removes certain system apps, among them being the calculator, flashlight, sound recorder, etc. You can find the link to the calc apk over in this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2243839).

Your bootloader is either locked, or you've installed the separate calculator apk.
Not sure if this is the case on your phone but over on the AT&T side a few of the guys lost the calculator app after unlocking with HTCdev

Save yourself the head ache..download the app above..it looks Exactly like the one that comes with the HTC One except for the color of the calculator itself..But this one gives you more options..And just so you know I too didn't have the calculator app when i bought the phone..Even before i rooted I did not have it so at least I believe you

So your bootloader is locked, then. There are a few (5?) apps that get REMOVED when you unlock the bootloader, and the only way to get them back is by installing the packs or flashing a ROM with those specific apps included. Your phone straight out of the box will have those apps, but if you unlock the bootloader, they will no longer be there and you will have to re-install them.
Glad this has been answered. Thank you for the post. I know I am not going crazy and was a bit perplexed that people were asking for the cal apk.
I dont root or do any bootloader unlocking--i am typical joe Q public...

Your phone straight out of the box will have those apps, but if you unlock the bootloader, they will no longer be there and you will have to re-install them.

What apps besides the calculator are missing? Where can we download the pack?

I believe there the flashlight app and the HTC stopwatch app are missing, but these may not have ever been included.
