My phone keeps updating the Google play store to the latest one but I don't want it to update for two reasons.
I can't purchase paid apps and I don't like the UI.
I uninstall updates but it changes back whenever I close the app.

Accidentally deleted my currency converter small app. Tried to download it again in play store and force closes now.
Anybody has a titanium backup to share? Thanks

It force closes on my Xperia T too. It's also downloaded from the play store. It seems that Sony messed something up with this app
Tapped from The Bond Phone!
Can you not pull it from your ROM zip?

Yes, but I don't need the apk because it force closes.
I need the data file that's why I'm asking for titanium backup. So I can get preloaded currency data.

Is it possible to get rid of the Google Play Music app? I hate that thing and I hate downloading music from it. I just like to use the HTC Sense music app.
I can drag the icon to the uninstall portion of the screen but it doesn't uninstall.

You have to be rooted you can use titanium backup or file manager both are free in the play store

Personally I use uninstall master to go through and remove apps I don't want which includes most of the google play stuff. But like SkinnyBiggs noted you have to be rooted.
I also try to remove them from ROMs before I load them.

I know I sound stupid asking this, but I can't get the app store to stop auto updating certain apps. It refuses to let me uncheck any of the boxes in any of the apps.

Should be a setting in playstore to stop auto updates

The problem is that I want it to auto update my apps, with the exception of the ones I don't want it to. I know there's a check box in each individual apps page dropdown, but some of the apps refuse to let me uncheck the box.
