Hi, my mom just got an HTC first, which is running stock android 4.1.2. Everything is working great, except that instant upload is not syncing back to her stock photo gallery. She has Google+ installed and instant upload turned on, and that is all working perfectly. She has a nexus 7 running Android 4.2.2 and the photos she takes on her phone are syncing to her tablet perfectly, but they are not syncing back to her phone. Everything in her Google account is set to sync. I have Force stopped/Cleared Data and cache in the gallery app, but nothing I do gets is to work. I even had her add my dads google account to her phone (set only to sync Google photos), hoping that would force something to work, but his photos are not syncing to her phone either. Please help. I just finally got her to get an android phone because of all the awesome features it has, (Instant upload/Gallery sync being one of them), and it stinks that one of the best features is not working.I know she can access the photos through Google+, but its so much more convenient to have them in your gallery. Thank you for your help...
Does anyone else have this issue? Got my wife the same phone, and the issue is the same. Even if you don't have a solution, please reply with a, "yes I have the issue", or "no, it works for me.” I'd appreciate it.

Same thing here. I just bought the HTC First primarily for the stock android, and now the gallery app doesn't work with Google Photos...
It's weird that it is definitely connected to Picasa, as it can upload pictures to albums.
New stock app fixes this issue
The updated 4.3 Gallery/Camera stock app which was just leaked fixes this issue. It will now properly sync with Google Photos and display all your albums. The camera app is also spiffier as a nice bonus! :good:

Yeah, haven't had time to update, but... What he said! Δ I installed with no problems at all.

I am seeing a weird thing with the Facebook android app on my S7. Everything is working except for photos. Basically I see an exclamation triangle on top of every friend's photo and the same goes for all the pics in my albums. Has anyone of you seen this bug? Appreciate any response. Thanks.
PS: On my EVO 4G photos show up properly, so I know it's not related to a temporary glitch in Facebook servers.
Have you tryied to update the facebook application?

Yes, I have downloaded the latest FB app from the market, v1.5.2, and it has the "no photos" issue. The mobile web version of FB works fine and so I made a bookmark to it and use Facebook that way.
Still very puzzled why the app doesn't work. Do you have the S7? Does FB work on yours properly?
Yes I have an S7 and fb work great no problem with photos. Did you removed applications from system? ...because FB use the native android photo viewers.

I have it working now. All I had to do is uninstall the latest update(1.5.2) and go back to the factory installed version. The photos all show up.
Something is wrong with S7 and some app updates. The latest market FCs whereas the factory installed version works without any issues.
Direct transfer of photos has been working well but not anymore.
As far as I know I have not done anything essential that could cause this trouble.
The only place I can find any settings for this is in the app for Google+
Is there anything else I can check??
Direct photos from where to where, what Rom, setting or app? If you make these things clear it is more likely people can/will help.

Sorry, maybe even the title is wrong....
Xperia V, Android 4.0.4, rooted
In the standard Album-app there is a tab called "Online" There are a few settings, i.e wich online-albums to use. I have Facebook and Picasa.
When I take a photo it transfers to the Picasa web-album.
The only setting for this, what I found, is in the Google+ app.
A few weeks ago it suddenly stopped to sync to Picasa/Google+
I have tried "all" settings in Google+

Anyway, case solved!
I just cleared out data and cache in Google+ and now it runs well again

I'm not sure how many people moved from the Nexus 4 to the HTC One, but if you have, I'm sure you've used Google Plus/Picasa to sync your photos on stock Google. If you're like me, you even deleted those photos off your Nexus 4, but the gallery app still gave you full access to them, as if they were on your phone (sharing, viewing, and even editing cloud [Picasa/G+] based photos).
My issue now is that I'm not able to do any of this. I'm able to access my G+ albums through the stock gallery app on the HTC One, but that's about it. I can't see my camera roll, I can't edit the photos, I can't share them, etc. There is a clear distinction between the photos that are actually on my phone vs. the ones on my G+ account. Is there a way to overcome this?
I've already looked into getting the 4.2 camera/gallery apk, but I would apparently have to root my phone, which would mean starting over and deleting all my data. Any tips?

I was considering this, but I'm waiting for stock Android to have IR support before ditching Sense. Anyways, XDA recently released the live wallpaper and camera APKs for the Google Play HTC One/S4, and I installed them. Voila! I have the stock gallery/camera apps! Problem solved
P.S. I was shocked that they worked since my phone is completely stock, not rooted or anything! I read before that the phone needed to be rooted and the camera/gallery apk must be put into the system folder, but all I did was put the APK in my dropbox, allow untrusted sources, and click it directly from my dropbox on my phone. It installed and everything is working perfectly!

Does Photosphere work for you or does it crash?
On my AT&T HTC One with CM10.1 nightly, Photosphere crashes.

I just checked. It works perfectly fine for me (stock Rogers HTC One, not rooted). I even went into the gallery, and after a second or two of "rendering...," the panorama showed up perfectly. It's probably a CM issue.
Everything seems to be working fine now on my phone. Finally figured out how to update my firmware. A couple of things that I noticed are:
1 - When touching a Facebook link on Blinkfeed, its does not take you to the post on your Facebook app anymore.
2 - The gallery app does not show pictures and videos for any online services. It only displays what is actually in your gallery. Before the update you would be able to see pictures from Facebook and other services. I have fixed this issue on my phone by just swapping the gallery app back to the version in Android 4.1.2. You can still select a track from your music library to use with a Zoe.

1. I get the same thing.
2. Not sure about that.
I haven't updated to 4.3 yet and I'm not able to go to a facebook link from blinkfeed. I think it may be something with facebook itself because it's been freezing up a lot for me lately as well.

I'm not sure if its an issue that came with the update or if they are just a couple of bugs from being rooted.

I am also on Facebook beta and the last update seemed to break this. I was not working before or after the update.
I guess one way to test this is by getting a non beta version of the Facebook app.
I was on Facebook beta and this broke before I even updated the phone to 4.3 It's a Facebook issue. I ended up leaving the beta, and I also did a factory reset of my phone because some FM radio service kept crashing when I was in the music player and it got irritating. Facebook works fine for me now.
So I used the NFC tap feature to migrate the data, apps, etc from my N5 to the N6. I noticed that in Lollipop Google has done away with the gallery app in favor of the Photos app (It was a move we all know was coming). The thing is, I have never and don't like the idea of having Photos automatically backup my photos to the cloud so I have always had that feature disabled. Now, I am trying to get all my photos from the Gallery to my N6 but am not able to beam it or otherwise sync it with my google account.
Anyone else having this issue? Am i going to have to use like Airdroid or manually drag my albums from my N5 to my mac and then on to the N6?
Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!
If you don't want to turn on the g+ sync you are going to need to save them to your computer and then transfer back. The tap and go just transfers over settings not files.
I really dislike the Google Photos app. Google needs to realize that some people would have just like an updated Gallery app with move function. I hated it when they did the same thing with Google Music.
I use Quickpic and everything works fine.

Thanks! Makes sense, I misunderstood the quick tap capabilities.

I agree - I really like the gallery app because I feel that the Photos app sucks at organizing photos into albums and such unlike gallery. But, that could also just be due to my lack time dedicated to the photos app.
I will check out Quickpic, thanks for the suggestion!
