im sorry that i have no info/apps to give... but removing the adds doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of android being open source IE. where should the get money to the continued development of android if we deny them the income the get from those ads? If i wanted an ad free environment i would have bought a windows-phone or an iphone.. the ads symbolizes that we are free..
thats just me 2-cents

Adfree works great blocks nearly every ad

good point, fair enough!
However, the freedom can also mean that some guy writes an adblocker! To maintain this freedom, not even those apps can be banned...
EDIT: just noticed, I sound like Larry Flynt
You could just turn flight mode on while playing games also. Not ideal but it works.

Step 1: (if needed) - Root your phone using SuperOneClick (Search the forums for it)
Step 2: Download AdFree from the market. Dev is BigTinCan.com
Enjoy.
Hi guys,
this is my first post in Nexus S section. Wildfire is my previous device.
This is an ADblock file that will block almost all annoying advertisement (except those app made by Chinese from China [it do block, but not all]) in your app and browser as well.
Advantages
Free at all, does not use system service, update is not required.
Attachments
HOST.zip: Updated on June 2011
HOST1.zip: Updated on June 2010 (try this one if the first one doesn't block some of your app ads.)
Instruction:
1. Unzip the file and you will get a file named HOSTS.
2. Copy and paste the HOSTS via root explorer to system/etc.
3. Reboot system, and open an app with advertisement and you will see the advertisement is blocked.
Thanks for viewing.
Please hit a "Thanks" if you like it!
Would this work on sgs miui as well?

This script blocked ads from 21k site. It is like windows, they built in the feature but lack of ad block file.
I checked root tools from market, it doesn't block much of the site. It is paid app..
Adfree use service, this doesnt. If you use task killer, it wont kill.

No one here uses adblock we all use "adfree" which is free and does EVERYTHING.
Personally, I have recently decided to keep the ads. They are the sole reason we have some quality games especially free ones. Its not like we are in abundance with android app developers, if simply having a small ad will keep them going, please support them.
Can somebody guide please...

TVCatchup Beta app (UK only I think)

On My note when I start it in landscape it crashes, so I start the stream in portrait then once it is streaming I rotate the screen to landscape and it works great.
I'am from switzerland, so i don's know if this apps also are avalable in other countrys. I use "Teleboy tv" and "Zatoo". Very good and continous streaming frames!

Just downloaded and tried installing. It seemed to be extracting and installing fine but in the end displayed the message not installed, oddly enough with a big green checkmark in front of it (like you might expect with a successful install). Anyone know what might have gone wrong? I have installing non-market apps enabled.
