[Q] can't wipe dalvik E:[unknown volume path[sd-ext]

iam using semaphore kernel and stock gb. and i can't wipe the dalvik. anyone has this problem? or is it just me? if anybody have a solution.. thanks

can you post the screenshot of the error that you get when you try to wipe dalvik cache? I read the error in your topic but a screenshot will be more helpful..

I always get that error, I just ignore it. I like to think it wipes anyway .

I don't think i can take screenshot in cwm... Or can i? Except for using a camera of course

ya using cam or some other phone
actually when I wipe the dalvik cache I do get the same error but in the next line it says that dalvik cache wiped .. is it happening with you too?

Exactly like that.. But i'm not sure is the dalvik really is wiped? Or the phone think it's wiped?

I think it gets wiped .. because if you boot your phone after that it takes quite some time.. like the first boot.. if the dalvik cache was not wiped the phone will boot up faster like normal ..

I think you had your data or cache portion wiped of formatted, so the recovery won't find the dalvik path.

Can't shut down

Please help... when my phone update from gb to jb, my phone can't shutdown. When try to shut sown, my phone act like restart. Try using different versions of jb until use lastest firmware jb for serbia, wipe cache, dalvik but its not help, my phone still restart again and again. Any solution please....

I have this problem when i power off when the phone is connected but try removing battery

Since shutdown command is more of a kernel issue, are you using any custom kernel? Have you tried changing kernels?

Yes, I was try thunderzap and now use cocore.5 but still can't shut down normally

this happend when push power button over 5 seconds and normaly shutdown way. Both give me a restart.

That happened to me when I flashed JB through Odin before I made a wipe factory reset, when I did that, the problem gone. So, try that, wipe factory reset, caché and davilk caché, that should work.

hi everyone,
i am on stock inu jelly bean and i get a pop up message saying unfortunately, settings has stopped working whenever i enter settings > lock screen > lock screen options. what can i do??? please help meeee:crying::crying::crying:

1. Turn off phone
2. Boot into recovery ( volume up+home+power )
3. Wipe cache partition
4. Reboot

didn't try.... but i dnt want to lose my personal data

Use titanium backup to backup contacts, apps etc. Do factory reset and restore the backup via titanium

If you're in titanium it'll lead you the way. You can backul everything you want. Select apps+data

Guys... I need help... As am new here... I did a lot of reading as many of u suggested... Nw stuck in custom recoveries... Basically i gt it bt nw problem is twrp/cwm n which version...?? As am seaman... Not hv enough time to checkout all stuffs... Dont think am lazy... I like experimental things n loves to try new things... Bt problem my profession... Help me... Thanxxx in advance... Both TWRP and CWM are known as custom recovery program created to flash mods, themes, apps, kernels, ROMs, wipe system, wipe data, etc.. But in my opinion TWRP is much more user friendly, since it is very easy to use and it has fully touch driven user interface so no need to press volume rocker or power buttons like CWM...

it is about USB OTG and it shows that SGSA 9070 is supported.
download USB OTG Helper from play store and try it.

As far as I know, our phone has the capability for OTG support but its disabled by Samsung... I think its a kernel feature and I believe that Cocafe is working on it.... So, you guys need to wait till he finds a soulution for this...

What did you try?

Dude, what exactly are you do it from begining?
I mean, what ROM, kernel, flashed zips/theme tell exactly what are you do it before.

Android is upgrading message is shown when catche and dalvic catche is wiped. You have installed some scripts which wipes catche on reboot. It will cause no problem on your phone. Just ignore it.
