BT Keyboards w/ built-in phone stand - Galaxy Note II Accessories

Title says it. Are there any BT keyboards with a built-in phone stand? I'd love to have a full-size keyboard I could just plop my N2 on when I'm home and have it on my lap.

same one I have, also with a bluetooth mouse it is a awesome combo when hooked up to all share cast or mhl...etc.

Thanks a bunch. Does the stand actually connect to the keyboard?

I have the same question. I have had my Note 2 for about a week and I have discovered that my Chromebook is collecting dust because this phone can do everything that the it can do and more, except for typing long emails etc.
What I am looking for is a keyboard and trackpad combo with a built in stand.
I was hoping to find something like this Logitech USB keyboard/trackpad that I use with my media center PC but with a built in stand and bluetooth..

Didn't samsung make a keyboard/trackpad combo for the Galaxy Tab? I can't find it online now.
PS - anybody want to buy a used Chromebook?

I have a rii keyboard and touch pad combo I use for my laptop. But I'm looking for something that will work on the bionic in webtop mode. something small that has a built in mouse, or key pad. All the ones I see have a USB dongle which obviously won't work. Anybody have a good alternative? Or ideas?

USB dongles don't work?
That's news to me.
I used the Microsoft and Logitech devices and the phone picked up the dongle and devices just fine.

I should have said that I wasn't using the dock. I'm just using the hdmi cable. Sorry bout that

Scratch this, found out someone answered in another thread.
My very old Logitech MX5500 keyboard and mouse combo worked just fine. You should be able to use just about any Bluetooth device...

I got the RII mini keyboard for Christmas and it does work with the Bionic (using it with HDMI cable and web hack now!) I got lucky and figured out the bluetooth pairing procedure (no help from mfr)
1: Do not download their apk, you dont need it. Uninstall it if you have it installed.
2: Remove it from bluetooth devices if it is listed.
3: Go to bluetooth menu, scan for devices, turn on keyboard and press bluetooth button.
4: When prompted on phone for password type 0000
Now comes the part they dont tell you..
5: Right after entering the password on the phone, type 0000 then press the enter key ON THE KEYBOARD.
The keyboard should pair and work with your bionic.
Play wih the Fkeys to see how they control the menu, home, search keys on the phone
I know this is late, hope it helps
Thank you for your input. But unfortunately my rii doesn't have a blue tooth button :/ . I guess I have the old model. It is a few years old. Maybe I should upgrade . If you don't mind me asking, what model number is yours? I'll get the same one

You Rii isn't bluetooth?
The button is the bluetooth symbol on mine.
If it is bluetooth, how do you get it into pair mode?
It goes into pair mode when I put the dongle in the computer. But the actual rii doesn't have a Bluetooth button :/.

Question about physical keyboards

I was thinking about getting one to make typing easier when I'm surfing the web on my N7. Such as this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-920-003390-Tablet-Keyboard-Android/dp/B0054L8N7M
The problem I have is doing things like scrolling or clicking (touching) links seems like its going to be a pain since the N7 will no longer be in my hands. I will have to reach forward to click on something. Is this as big of a pain as it seems? Is the keyboard worth it?
Hi, after rooting my N7 I plugged in ( via OTG female USB to micro USB adapter ) a USB wireless adapter for my mouse and keyboard that came with my Revo computer. Both work together and the scroller on the mouse pulls the screen up and down on the N7. So cool.

Yeah, in fact you might as well get a mouse+keyboard combo with one wireless adapter and skip the bluetooth.
I have a physical logitech keyboard and it's great for typing up a paper and it's better to get a usb instead of blue tooth uses less battery

I bought the Zagg Keys Flex for my Galaxy Note 10.1. It's an android/iOS bluetooth keyboard (has a switch to change the mode!). It's a really light and portable keyboard, that's incredibly easy to type on, and fast! It's certainly not cheap, though. It cost me £55 from Amazon. And as for a mouse, your best bet would just be to get a small bluetooth mouse.

The Zagg is a nice looking bit of gear.
I use the Logitech "For Android" bluetooth keyboard, most readily available refurbed from Amazon for like $35. Very nice too, has a slip case that coverts to a stand like the Zagg and of course all the Android-specific hotkeys.

Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard Video Review!

Hey guys, I have appreciated the video reviews posted here so I thought I would do one myself. This video review is for the New Trent Bluetooth Keyboard with touch pad. Here is a link to the video review
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tym3BoEhQwc&feature=youtube_gdata_player
And here is a link to the product on Amazon

My full written review is there as well. In short, its the best wireless keyboard I have used. Definitely worth the asking price of $55.
This is my first YouTube video, so there is much room for improvement. I plan on continuing to review various android hardware and accessories should you wish to subscribe. Let me know if you have ideas!
Great video review. Is the back part / empty plastic really just for the stand or are they hiding components in there? It kind of reduces from it's portability. Do they make that part of its plastic removable?
Have you tried it with the nexus 10? If so, does it sit well like the galaxy?
Nice review. Too bad about the home key. Get a sleeve case. I'be seen them at "5 Below", if you have that store. And yeah, it's $5.
I have a Logitech k400 IR keyboard. Works well but connects through OTG cable. Bluetooth would be better.

No there are not any components in that area, no. I wanted a stand really bad though because I dont have a multi angle case though.
Yes, I used this with a nexus 10 for a while. It actually fits better than the note. I think its because of the grippy material, but it doesn't slide around as much as mine.

Thanks for the review, I don't tend to like small keyboards, but I might get that for my N10.
Yeah I worried I would struggle to type on it too, but I can nail out an email pretty quick. To out it in perspective, it is about as large as the tablet.

the one I looked at was for a Tablet but since your keyboard is the same size, I think It will work too.

I'm looking at the K400 Plus. It'll require the OTG cable as well, but that's no big deal.
Does the touch pad and 'buttons' work / simulate a 'tap'?
Thanks in advance,

If only they did such accessories with a Dvorak layout, I might be interested! Then again, since dvorak is optimised to alternate the side of the keyboard you type on as much as possible, it's pretty much perfect for typing with 2 thumbs - I'm actually faster typing on my on screen keyboard and having swiftkey correct all the mistakes than I am on a physical keyboard!

I have almost the same thing. It works fine, but it's not exactly fast to type. The buttons are far too close together to type normally and a bit too far apart to be fast for thumbs-only. Particularly reaching the right-thumb over the touch pad is a drag. But it is still better than using the on-screen keyboard in a terminal emulator. Having all the F-keys, arrows, edit keys, and immediate access to shift and alt and ctrl keys instead of always waiting for long-presses or diving in to alt keyboards is a big deal.
Minor issues: no page up page down keys. I wish the "/" didn't require the Fn key as it's used a lot in linux comands.
Unexpected bonus, it actually comes with a usb bluetooth dongle stowed in back. So you can use it on say headless servers with everything you need right in your pocket.

Got the Motorola Keyboard in today.
Pluses
1. Feels solid (well built) .
2. Love the retractable touchpad.
3. Touchpad is a nice size.
4. Connects with absolutely no problem and works great!!:good:
I already think this is going to be the one to go with! I will post more on battery life after our techs use it for a couple of days
You will need to adjust the pointer speed its a little to slow on the default settings
