Chinese ICS Leak to Official ICS Query?

Hi all, just need sme advice as I've done a lot of reding tonight but still unsure how to proceed.
I have a UK Galaxy Note, originally unlocked stock Samsung.
It currently has the original chainfire repack of the I9220 chinese leak (http://download.chainfire.eu/146/CF-Root/SGN/CF-Root-I9220_ZC_OZH_LP1-v5.2-CWM5.zip) from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500186
I'd like to flash the official N7000OXALPY ROM on it now.
My question is, can I use mobile odin to apply the german ICS ROM directly?
I believe I may need to flash a GB ROM first? If that is the case could I do this via mobile odin?
Unfortunately I don't have a nandroid of the GB ROM i was on before to restore (I've learnt my lesson!).
Thanks!

Here is what i did. I flashed N7000CPWLB2--United Kingdom (Carphone Warehouse) using PC Odin, download link from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997. I then root and used PC Odin to flash the german ICS. I did full wipe afterwards in recovery. You don't get CMW with this approach but i don't need it.
With regards to the second link, do I have an i9220 bootloader now from the chainfire repack? (not sure how to confirm this).
I'd like to follow the instructions from dr.ketan but bit unsure if it's safe?
If you have flashed LP5 Repack then you have i9220 bootloaders ! If you have flashed the LP1 repack then you are without those bootloaders
Hackerboi, its the LP1 ROM. Does that mean I can use dr.ketans guide directly to flash the official ICS via mobile odin, or should I still flash a GB rom with odin first?
I was on TMT 1.0, what I did was flash a direct rootable ROM using PC Odin, root the ROM, flash stock LPY ROM using the instructions on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997 and that's it.

Flash NOTHING from Repack, be it with Mobile Odin or CWMR.
Use PC Odin to get to GB first. Then you can proceed to ICS.

Thanks for all the help guys, successfully on the official rom now.
I did the following:
1. Flashed CPW rootable old gb rom using PC odin.
2. Rooted using zergrush
3. Flashed new ICS rom and chanfire kernel using mobile odin

Just did that exact same way myself - I always flash back to stock with PC Odin, and then re-root. Takes longer, but less hassles!

Easiest and Safest way to return to stock

Currently running Ultimate N700 XXLSC JellyBean 4.1.2 v5.1 and baseband N7000XXLSC and Kernal Version 3.0.31-593490. I want to return it to stock as I can't use Sky Go. Do I need to downgrade to ICS or GB? any links to files would be great trying to do this whilst sat at my desk at work today so can't spend alot of time searching the forums
you can download the stock ICS firmware from samfirmware.com and install it using PC odin. (dont do any wipes while on stock ICS kernel. )
after install using Odin you might need to do a factory reset to get the phone to boot properly.. that time install Philz kernel for the ICS rom you chose using stock recovery/

Should I not download a Gingerbread stock rom 1st and then upgrade to ICS via OTA?

Not necessary but possible. Downloading and using a ICS-based stock Rom saves a bit of time and work.
But for SkyGo (in UK) you have to stay with the unchanged stock - or SkyGo won't work.

1. There is no such thing as "original cwm"
2. The one that comes with your device is called "Stock Recovery"
3. Now if you want stock recovery you have flash stock rom which in this case would be ICS 4.0.4
4.If you want to change your recovery you have to flash a different kernel as recoveries comes with kernels.
P.S. Dont flash stock ICS 4.0.4 kernel as it is unsafe.
If you want to flash Stock Rom ICS 4.0.4 follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
XXLSC is a OTA update which one of the forum member (ThaiDai) got on his phone and has dumped for custom roms. XXLSA stock is available on samfirmware.com and it has the stock JB TW kernel,. if you want that... flash it using Odin..

[Q] Help needed to install new roms

So last week, to save my near bricked device I used PC Odin to Flash a GB Rom. The device works fine now, with all root privileges. I ran titanium backup and installed all of my apps from the previous rom. But i can't seem to install a new rom using the recovery mode route. Whenever I try to install a new rom (GB, ICS OR JB) using recovery, I get boot loop or get stuck on the setup screen. Info on the rom I'm using right now -
Build Number- Gingerbread.XXKJ1
Baseband Version N7000XXLB2
Kernel Version- [email protected]#2
Android Version- 2.3.5
I want to install an JB AOSP rom. Please give me step by step instruction on how to do it.
First update the stock firmware to JB and then flash the compatible PhilZ kernel and try flashing. Flashing on ICS or JB is more secure and safe.

How do I update to JB?? I went to settings>>About Phone>>Software update>>Update. It says no update available.
Flash a stock JB ROM thru ODIN. Read dr.ketan's thread in original Android development forum and download an ICS/JB stock ROM from there or sammobile.com and flash using ODIN. Do NOT do any wipes on the GB stock kernel, may ruin the device.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
the 2nd post has the GB roms.
Also visit sammobile.com for more ROMs, in case the ROM for your region isn't there.

Upgrade.....
You said you are on gingerbread, that is 2.3.6
While on 2.3.6 you can only install custom ROMs that are based on gingerbread.
If you want to install jelly bean or kitkat custom ROMs then upgrade to stock JB 4.1 via KIES or ODIN.
Here is a thread that can help you upgrade :

The link given in the previous post has all the info for you.
1. You have to download a stock JB firmware. You can do it from sammobile.com/firmware
2. You have to download odin3 3.07 on your PC.
How to use odin
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33969186
3. Your PC must have SAMSUNG android mobile phone drivers installed. You can google for it. Another way is to install samsung kies. Installing kies will install the drivers by itself.
4. Now flash the downloaded firmware (in the zip archive there is a tar archive) by odin3 tool.
4. After you have successfully flashed JB now you want to root your device. Download a tiny root.zip file by shaan from this link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36406378
Keep it on the sd card of the device. ...
As for custom ROM you can begin with HarshJelly because it is very stable and everything works on it. And for kernel&recovery CoCore 8.6 with CWM.
