Spent WAY too long working on these, so I don't know how many more of these I will do, but here's my rendition of the xxhdpi Circle Battery Icons, measuring 54 x 54 pixels each!

One thing I always complained about with circle battery icons on the notification bar was the size of the numbers - I use my phone on a car dock a lot of the time in the bright Florida sun, and those tiny ass numbers just won't cut it - so instead of making the number size based off of the largest ones (100 and FULL), I made those fit to size and then made all the 2 digit numbers as big as they would go, increasing size 40% over everything else available right now. Also, I used the DC Comics Flash logo for the charging indicator and made that nice and big as well, effectively going over the edges of the circle battery when applicable. Enjoy fellow comic book fans!
Now, I'm no expert at this stuff, I just went off the guidelines from another set of icons - if there are more that need to be created or I screwed up somewhere, PLEASE let me know! I take criticism very well, as long as it's helpful and not something you just felt like *****ing about.... furthermore, these icons are AS IS, I'm not going to change colors, reshape, change direction of the circle depleting battery, etc, this is what I made and again, I spent WAY too much time working on these to start almost all over to accommodate everyone, so please enjoy them for what they are. I'm NO developer, just a guy who knows Photoshop well enough to get around, so I can't help you figure out exactly where to put them in your themes or if they will work properly on your device, please search to get help on that so we can use this thread for discussion related to these icons, if necessary.
USAGE - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not use these icons in your theming without giving credit back to me via a link to this page AND leaving a thanks below. That is ALL I ask for! No donations (unless you feel absolutely compelled to do so), I certainly won't complain about that, but I did this for the community to enjoy since there aren't any xxhdpi icons out that I could find, especially none this easy to ready! Okay, now back to the real world, enjoy everyone and happy theming
EDIT - attached version 1.02, it was brought to my attention that I was missing the animated 35% icon, and the 0% icons for regular and charging, and they have been added to the RAR file now, oops!
UPDATE 1.25.14 (aka, my birthday) - @vponomarev has been so generous as to create a tool to edit my icon set with a very easy to use GUI and this is for all those who have asked for variations on the icons I made since I can't satisfy everyone with requests - this tool will do it for you! Make sure you check his thread out and THANK HIM appropriately, this is a very time consuming thing, you may not realize just how much....
looks very nice... can you possibly do one thats all blue? like even the numbers?

Sorry, I can't spend any more time working on this unless it is to fix something - since I'm running it on my current SystemUI thanks to @StolenVW, it's been checked and works great for me, sorry I couldn't help out right now! I made this so the numbers would catch your eye quickly as easily, I knew it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea (bleach, I hate tea), but that's why I made the comment
Keep your eyes peeled in the future if I decide to rework them or something though! Thanks for the comment, @thuglifesk and the "back up," @andyahs!

If Nottach's Xposed plug-in works for your ROM, and some say that it has on older versions of VzW ROMs, it has my icons already built-in, but I'm not sure how you would do it using an .apk other than dumping these into your old SystemUI.apk in the appropriate folder and then overwriting your current one with the modified one.... is that what you were talking about?
How do you even install these? Wont let me flash a .rar through TWRP

im not sure...i downloaded the .rar but dont know how to install these. i cant use TWRP because im stock ME7 with no recovery and i can try to modify the systemui.apk but dont know where to start with that.... how/what program could i use?
Here's an Illustrator file that I made to mimic KryptosXLayer2's original icons. It's not the exact same, as I don't see the need to read "FULL," I'd rather it read "100." Also, my lightning bolt and fonts are a little different, maybe a few different sizes here and there.
This should be much easier for people to mess with, because you could change the color for multiple layers at a time, batch export the layers, and batch-rename accordingly. So, for all the people that want it all holo blue, or maybe you want some green for charging, or whatever the case may be, you can do it yourself.
Edit: Batch export isn't built in, have a look at http://www.arcticmill.com/2012/08/export-layers-as-png-files-from-illustrator-in-multiple-resolutions.html for an Illustrator script, and http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Download.php for a bulk renaming application (Windows)
Thanks! This can be done quickly in after effects as well using expressions...

NEW! 3D rotating clock by TWolf:
I started by doing the full 3D rotation but it was getting to heavy and with too many files, so I simplified it.
The CABS install themselves to the Windows folder, and theres also the original skin attached, in case you want it back.
EDIT: Updated the original skin with the clock background, as its obvious ppl will use it on future skins.
Enjoy.

Im trying to do something like this:
But good looking. Havent done a clean layout I liked yet, so I'll just keep at it.
Also, half the files arent needed, if we do the animation already with both numbers on each frame, like so, the animation with the seven turning into eight will have both the numbers on the same PNG, no need to separate the upper and lower part of the seven and eight.
Since its not a good idea to delete them, maybe simply replace them by a 1x1 px transparent png.
S.V.I Rotating Clock
I decided to post this clock after all.
I figured that someone can use it as a template for the animation.
After figuring out the math, it is supposed to move @9 pixels per frame in case anyone is interested. This one however moves @10 pixels per frame. depending on what type of animation you want to make you may want to adjust +/-. for example I am in the proccess of making digits that will bounce before they stop; and I also want to make a fading animation; I also want to make something that looks as though it was a radar echo (don't know the tech term for that) where there will be a line that comes down and draws the digits. I figure that since we have 20 frames per number to work with we can get REALLY creative!
I have template PSD's for the animation. All you have to do is insert your own font. That should make things a lot easier. If any skinner is interested, PM me.
@TWolf: I tried replacing the background 0001-0009 with empty 2x2pxl images and it did not work. The images CAN be empty but MUST have the same dimensions as the 0000 file.
beautiful!
If you havent finished it yet, I'd advise some flattenning and vertical blur of the moving digits and a light reflected glow on the background wheel animation.

That's a great idea about the blur. Will definitely do. I am trying to make sure that these files are small enough. So keeping it simple is a priority. as it is now, the animation is so smooth that I am ready to move forward.
This clock is only 168kb right now. Soon it will be even smaller
As for the reflected light, this will require to not only have a gradient, but 2 extra colors as well; both requiring gradients and mixing. this would increase the file size to much more than I would like. Perhaps once I get rid of all the other background images I will not worry about it so much.
I am reluctant to release the final project though. I spent an entire day yesterday figuring out how I was going to do it and the math involved. then about 6 hours making the gfx. F'n tedious work. There are so many people on this forum that have no appreciation for the kind of work that we, pixel pushers do and just how much time is required to do it. That is kind of starting to piss me off. people seem to think that we edit 700+ graphics for manila with the help of some deity and it just gets done by magic in the course of 5min.
In other words, I decided to pull the same stunt that another former member pulled one year ago. Anything I make from now on will be only available by PM. this is to alienate freeloaders; not to get donations. There are a lot of people here that contribute to XDA in the form of money or technical work or help, and a lot that are simple parasites... Why should I work two days straight on a skin or a program for those people? I can't account how many times I have spent time in chat sessions (sometimes more than a day each) helping XDA users fix their phones or resolve software issues. Or the roms that I cooked and optimized specifically for the end-user.
And after all that; with the exception of a few users; I feel as though I have just been wasting my time.
I understand what you mean and tottally respect your position...
I heard the story of that great designer and almost every week feel the disrespect of newbies that demand us to be there to help them, whatever the problem is.
But the best way not to get bothered is really just let go and leave it all out there for ppl to use and abuse it.
Anyway, if you use transparency on your skin, the file bg_clock_assets_0000.png is always present, the others just run on top of it. So that one is the real background of the clock.

The Windows theme is from Kane159, I dont know where he posted it, but its here...
The transparent clock looks better on lighter backgrounds:
...but then the calendar and tasks cant be seen on too light backgrounds... :/
And the top tab (and bottom, if its already possible) would need to be also transparent to improve the look.

HI everybody
This icons pack is for all the colleagues in the medical field, they can be used with Skyscape programs, Merck medicus.. and many other medical resources
I used Macromedia fireworks 8 to creat these icons, so I'm not sure if you open them with Photoshop, you'll be able to edit the icons as you wish
I'm not a professional designer as you might know, and I still can't figure out how to make the glare part identical to the background..instead I use an oval shape.. it works, but it would be very nice if some knows how to create the glare shape in Macromedia fireworks...
some of the artwork in my icons have been taken from free icons, mainly on Deviantart or someother website, and AFAIK, the artists did not mention anything about reusing their icons...
anyway, if you find anything that infiltrate your copyright, let me know, and I'll take the offensive icon right away
You are free to use my icons in any way you want
yeah, and if you have any icon in mind that is not here, let know the name of the medical program and preferably and icon or a screenshot, and I'll try to make it ASAP
edit1: just added some new icons, and changed the preview to show all the pack
Thank you bro, Here u go with some that I've been gathering around the web to increase the collection.

Dude, those are awesome!!
I would love one with Twitter (Plume), Browser, Music, Market, Root Explorer, Phone, Camera on the main screen (since I lock my wallpaper). I think I am going to try the free alt to photoshop and see if I can learn how to do this.... trying to make it look like yours.
The Vibrant has a super amoled screen, so the more black the better... but what I loved were how crisp the icons were that you used, and the shadow... which REALLY helps the look.
Very jealous.... I need to learn!
UN F%#%$# BELIEVABLE !!!
Genius Genius Genius way of customizing homescreen icons. Rockin this now!!!
I tried several times to download the transparent icon but get a blank screen all the time. Tried it from my vibrant haven't tried from my computer. But I would think I shouldn't have problems from phone thoe. Anybody else having this problem? Tried with stock browser and dolphin hd, same results.
Sent from xda app on vibrant running axura 2.3.1.2
What do you mean by blank screen? You should just be able to right click save as.
And not wanting this to sound snarky or anything, but because it's transparent, the blank screen makes sense.
Something I put together real quick, needs better spacing with the icons.

This is the best looking screen setup I've seen so far! I don't have the tools or talents to do this. I wish I did! I hope someone does a blue on black setup or maybe do a request for one.

Hi,
I've done this kind of WP based on ArtCore one. I've also downloaded the icon set, and using gimp, I've pasted the "high lighted" ones to represent themes that I have used for the transparent icon short cuts.
Here is the results (it's in 2 parts for my defy resolution):

Anyway, I'm sure that a lot of people are wondering how to make these awesome icon backgrounds, so I thought that I would try and make a quick tutorial in Adobe Photoshop CS5 about giving your icons a shadow to make them look more 3D and everything.
Anyway stay tuned - www.twitter.com/jordanfritzsche and I should be post a video tutorial about this in the next day or two.

I use a 5x5 desktop and have the labels hidden in ADW settings. The icons are exactly where they should be to press. I also lock my screen, that is why the black is there on the left/right... I suppose I should have just used a 480x800 background and then I wouldn't have had to guess so much on where to put the icons, right?? Still learning....

Hi,
I've done this kind of WP based on ArtCore one. I've also downloaded the icon set, and using gimp, I've pasted the "high lighted" ones to represent themes that I have used for the transparent icon short cuts.
Here is the results (it's in 2 parts for my defy resolution):

Believe it or not, its pretty easy.
So I'll give some quick directions that you can play around with however you'd like. So I use CS5 but I'm pretty sure it is the same process, however I'm not sure about Photoshop Elements.
1. Ok so you may have done it differently but I imagine that each of the icons is, or was, a layer at one point. If not, re-create it in a separate piece copy and paste it how you'd like it and you are ready to go.
2. So once the icon is its only layer go to the layer panel on the right and right click on the layer.
3. Select Blending Options
4. Play around with each option to the left. You can simply select the check box and the default characteristics for that option will be applied to your image layer.
5. If you select the whole bar on the left, for example Drop Shadow, it'll highlight blue. Then you can tweek the drop shadow, the length of it, the opaque-ness of it, which direction the shadow comes from, etc.
Play around with probably just the top five options on the left (Drop Shadow - Bevel & Emboss) Those will effect the depth of the image.
If you need more help I will do what I can, just ask

Here are the original clocks with just the modified second hand. They all look like the picture below, except with the colored second hand that they are named for.
*Red*
These are great. I have the entire collection of black one's but they are sketchy on a dark layout. I was gonna ask you for one with an orange second hand but then I saw where you were from...
How bout a black and gold one? Or, maybe just throw the hawkeye logo in the middle and make an Iowa clock. (Hope that cornfield you are in isn't near Ames)
If its too much or just not graphically possible, just the orange one would be greatly appreciated.
cyclONE Nation for life! lol but I will see what I can do about a Squawkeye Clock.
What color would you like the second hand to be for the hawk clock?
These are all just one size?

Yup just one size, I figured most people use something like LauncherPro to resize.

Go for it lol I am also starting to make ones with sports teams icons on the background so if you have any requests.
Can u make on with the Boston Celtics logo please
You didn't say what color second hand you wanted so I just assumed green lol if you want something different just let me know. But here is ISU (the best and what I am rocking) and the Celtics. I have a Hawkeyes one, but don't have a good color for the second hand to match at this point.
*Cyclones*
*Celtics*
Could you please make one in blue with my favorite soccer team (Blooming from Bolivia). Thanks in advance, I'm attaching Blooming's icon.
Thank you very much!!!!!
Here is the Blooming one, I think it turned out looking pretty good (thanks for providing the image, made things easier). Let me know what you think.

@00McD00, it (Blooming soccer team) came out great, you rock!

LOL!! Since you are making me a clock, I won't hold that against you. No rush as far as the second hand... when you find the right color, just let me know. I hope I didn't open pandora's box of custom clock requests for you. I got to thinking about it and as long as this doesn't involve tweaking xml files, I could probably do this or help. I know how to decompile apk's, mod drawable png's, and recompile. I haven't ever peeked insided this bad boy. If it is more technical than that, I'm out!!
Hey good timing I just got it done and it actually looks really good (please don't tell anyone I said that lol). Here it is along with a stock gold second hand one. Oh no don't worry about that at all, I really enjoy making them actually, it's pretty fun. But if you want to give it a try be my guest, I just use 7zip to open them up on my computer and replace whatever .png files I want to change (those changes are done with photoshop so you'd need to have that), then you need to delete the "META-INF" file before resigning it, and then I resign it on my phone using a free application called Signapktic (using the Platform key). If you want to know any more just let me know.

HELL YEAH!!!!
These are awesome! Thank you so much!! Yeah, I might give it a whirl. I've just recently started modding wallpapers w/ gimp, but certainly that would work for replacing a few png files. 7zip, check. I've also used apk manager to open them up and then re sign them. That's how I did the widget locker mods when the themes first came out before the themed version. Just one more thing to add to my to do list... Damn this phone!
Seriously, thanks again. And seriously, look forward to slapping you guys around this September... AGAIN!!!!!!
Boise State (blue second hand)?
Can you do the following:
Arizona Cardinals w/ Red 2nd hand
CyanogenMod logo w/ Cyan 2nd hand
Below is a link to the files for the Roku Remote Widget. I would appreciate if any one can take a quick look at them and give me some guidance on how hard of a project it would be to make it transparent.
I am thinking of attempting this but I dont want to bite off more than I can chew.
Thanks!

Can u give a link to the .apk
Sent via Tapatalk using a Nexus S 4G powered by Kangs CM7
Yes please.. not sure what those files are in the link. But would be glad to look into theming

Which Roku Remote app is this for?

Deep Idle does NOT cause your phone to use less power when screen is off. It already goes into Deep Sleep for that. Deep Idle ONLY gives battery savings when using your phone with screen off, such as when playing music or using GPS.

snap.. is that a paid app?
If so, take down that link.. I can tell you how to mod. Should be fairly simple if you're familiar with the basics.
Also, tell me which widget you use-- the large fullscreen one, or the smaller rectangle one

Yup, it's this one https://market.android.com/details?id=com.greggreno.rokuremote The dev really should put in a Market license check.

well, no disrespect to the dev, but this app is ugly as f#$%
Anyway, I transparentized most of the pngs before I realized. OP, lemme know.
Looks like, functionality-wise, it's a good app tho.
LOL, yeah the dev also makes Juice for Roku which is a very cool app but ugly as sin.

eh.. kinda ghetto.. dev didn't set up the images proper size.. so half the png buttons are squished.
I just brought down the opacity on the buttons and a few .9.pngs. I could burn them a little to bring up the contrast.

I removed the link.
I use the 4x1 widget
If you can point me in the right direction to mod it it would be great! I never modded before but hey you have to start somewhere right?
XDA has been a great source of help to me, so I am trying to learn a little as I go along so I can help others as well!
For sure-- I can point u in the right direction. Just to know, any photoshop (or gimp or paint.net or other) experience?
a little photoshop and paint.net
Here is a good overall guide with several links for theming:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=916814
FYI, to theme a widget like this one, you wouldn't really need to do any xml or smali edits.
First I would google 7zip and download that. Apk files are basically zip files that have been compiled/signed. In the case where you just want to replace a .png image (not .9.png), you can just open the apk in 7zip, and drop the new png you have edited. Most of the time, the pngs you will be dealing with will be in /res/drawable-hdpi or /res/drawable/
But in the case where you need to modify a .9.png, xml, or smali, you will need to decompile the apk, which is covered in the tutorial above.
Here's a vid tutorial watching someone transparent the Pandora widget
The way he does it is more complex than it needs to be (from 2010), but to get an idea.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86PgHghRYU0&feature=player_embedded#!
That should be enough to get you familiar with the process. I'll post more stuff as I think of it.

Hey guys - I'm the dev for Roku Remote and Juice. I know the widget is not very good looking. If you come up with anything cool looking and want to contribute it to include in a future release, let me know.
