[Q] LCD Density

Hi Guys,
is it possible to change lcd density in our lg 4x? can we use a tablet ui same as paranoid android rom? i have read in some forums that changing lcd density with lcd modder or other programs cause brick the phone...

You can try to go to /system/build.prob with Root explorer and change the value.
ro.sf.lcd_density=
and
ro.sf.hw_lcd_density=
Safe and Reboot.
Tipp: You like Tablet UI then take a smaller value!

you need to go all the way down to 120dpi, to enable tabletUI as the 720dpi resolution needs to be there (technical explanation not available)
but im currently trying to make it work, but several widgets and LG launcher do not support lower density values to work, so im trying to hack the resolution to enable tabletUI and still retain an acceptable resolution at 200 or 240, but tablet menu goes out of the screen.
but it works.
it will be a custom rom to enable this feature, since deodex'ing is required.

Try a other launcher(Trebuchet).

that will not solve the tabletUI and the missing navigation bar at the bottom, a combination of dpi120+trebuchet is ok, but at 120, buttons are pretty much for children fingers or women?
and you need to disable the hw softbutton at the bottom, right? (can be done removing lights.x3.so from hw/ folder

Optimus 2x = 240 density.

On Trebuchet launcher are no virtual buttons!

virtual buttons are androidOS related, and will enable at a DPI of 721 with ICS. so going to 120dpi in the build.prop will activate them and remove systembar and movable softbottoms.
but you are left with the hardware buttons which again can be disabled with the light driver and the keylayout being 0'd.
I am working on the tabletUI version, so for those interested, a custom rom with fixes for tabletUI and using apex launcher will help. and fixed for running any dpi with tabletui enabled.

[Q] Camera focus problem in CM10.1

I'm having a problem with the camera app in CM. It cannot focus on close object. When I try to take pictures of a bnewspaper, the words are very blurry and illegible. I also tried camera JB+. The first time I used it, it worked fine but the next time, it had the same focus problem as the stock app. Does someone know how to fix it?

Try to change the scene mode from automatic to something else.sometimes auto scene mode does not recognize the scene...

Launch camera in pro mode?

Is it possible to launch the camera app in Pro mode and not have to switch to it each time?

Once you on pro mode, exit the camera by pressing home button.

That's temporary. Once the ram management kills the app after a few minutes, your back in auto mode at the next launch.

I thought I read that the camera opens quickly because it's always kept in ram?

maybe we can edit kaylayout generic. 212 CAMERA to but i dont know code maybe CAMERA_PRO?

It does up to a point when ram management kills it. If you launch within a minute or so it'll stay alive.

xposed app suggestions

I just install Xposed but i don't know what to install other then Gravitybox, does anyone have a suggestion?

If you want blur effect (something like IOS) during sliding down notification window and recent app you can install Blurred SystemUI module.

Didn't know what this setting was for. I think it's name is a little misleading. Until now I used another Xposed module called No Lock Home.

Hey peeps,
I'm new here. Recently I downloaded n flashed the xposed framework zip from XDA site.
After flashing when I rebooted my device the bootloader unlocked warning screen stucks ?
So anybody please suggest me how do I install xposed framework on my moto X play Xt 1562 ?

I Love xposed because of its features and this can be enhanced by following modules
1)Android N-fy: earlier people also refer it, if you want to try sweet test of next gen nougat than this app is for you.
2)deep sleep: I am a saver by nature I charge my phone after an interval of 2days because of ds battery saver.
3)gravitybox : can't explain in words.... #respect
4)og xposed : all your YouTube needs are bundled here, such as background play, video download etc. But you have to download og youtube from Google, play store version it's not available.
5) Xstna: a small app to change your navigation key appearance.
6)YouTube adaway : bypass YouTube advt
7) YouTubeswipe to seek: it gives you're YouTube app mx player like compatibility.

Edge panels/edge lighting are available

I confirm the availability of edge panel and edge lighting

Do you have flasheable update?

U can flash through odin
Just download from sammobile/samfirm/frija.... and flash
Its available for fn model with sek csc only now

Can someone who got the update tell us more about the features that are available?
Also a small review about the update, battery life etc.

I haven't installed the update yet but there are a few features not mentiond like changing charging tone, enable vibration for keyboard and for navigation gestures, and support for 3rd party launchers. Those are the things i noticed other than what was mentioned in the changelog.
Edit:also on lock screen it displays the time until the phone is fully charged

just another thing pls , do you have a edge sound panel when changing volume by buttons like any other phone?

Haven't installed the update yet but yes edge panels exist with edge lighting.
I don't think that edge sound panel comes stock but when the edge panels are supported u can install varoius panels from the galaxy store :good:

I dont think support for samsung keyboard vibration has been added for SM-A705FN, I only have option for Character preview & Sound in settings.

I have edge lightning ativated and also notifications for various apps and nothing hapen's about new messages. Does anyone manage to make it work?

Any news about the MN version?

Update now dropping on a happy Black Friday here in the UK... Can finally say goodbye to the July 2020 security patch

My phone (UK) is totally messed up after the update. I can see a WiFiCall message at the bottom of a blank black screen with a small grey thin line on the right hand side at the top. The home screen launcher isn't showing up (Nova). I can access it via the settings from the notification drawer but I get issues with touchscreen recognition when changing any settings and need to switch off then unlock again. Any ideas before I reset? Thanks.
EDIT: Got nowhere with trying to get this going. Had to do a full wipe and start again. More hassle than I thought without backed up settings etc. Take care.
