white phone case

I'm doing a kind of black and white theme on my white vivid or a red and white but can't seem to find a good case yet. Anyone know of a good site?

oh please please post a picture of your white vivid with a case if you ever get one. I'm looking for one as well but can't picture how they would look good on a white phone. I like the speck one but it'd look way too white...

I bought the speck black and white case it looks a lot better than I thought. You should try this case out the people at att will let u try it on without a problem. The all black cases were to much black or else I should of got a black vivid haha

Yeah but I'm in Brazil they don't sell this phone here so I'll have to buy the case online without trying. urghhh
don't regret my purchase, though. I'm glad I got rid from my iPhone 4 and got a much better device.

Oh yea coming from an iPhone this is way better. I honestly thought the speck case looked bad online then I bought it and it was what I actually wanted. There's more black than u think from looking online

It looks quite good actually! If only I'd seen this before -_-
However I just couldn't find a place that would ship most cases (including the Speck one) to Brazil for less than US$40. that's a serious rip off.
But then I found Incipio Feather Case, bought a blue one that should look great contrasting with the white Vivid. They charged me only ~$8 to send over to me, must take a while but not on a hurry or anything.
It really pisses me off, 'cause I have some friends living in the US and they said that if they shipped the Speck case themselves it wouldn't cost more than $15.
These stores just can't get enough profit, can they? arghh

Painted the trim on my nexus 7 black.

Used one of those elmers painting pens for pastic. For not taking apart my nexus it came out fairly well.
Got the idea after seeing that article about carphone warehouse listing a 32gb nexus and a galaxy nexus 2. the picture they had of a nexus had a black trim. went to walmart and bought the paint pen asap.

I'm at work. I'll post more pics when I get home.

Took some pics on my break. Going to redo it tonight now that I got some masking tape. I'll feel more confident getting closer to the screen.

just curious if using Gaffer tape would be easier. it's strong enough and it's removable

I would use a low-tack masking tape, gaffer tape (duct tape) would be far too adhesive IMO.

Gaff tape doesn't have the nasty adhesive of duct tape (until it gets old and dried out/dusty ). It would look all weird though because it's like a fabric.

I might have to do this to my nexus as well. Mainly because the silver paint chipped off a little bit on the top.

the elmers paint pen comes off pretty easy with your nail but stays on during regular use just fine. i've already stripped it to redo again tonight. beware though, you will run out of paint in the pen by the time your done.

Someone should attempt this using Plasti-Dip. If you don't know what it is, it's like spray paint, but it creates a rubbery layer over whatever you spray, and you can peel it off later if you don't like it. It's very popular DIY product for cars.
I did some googling and it looks like some people have already attempted using it on phones, usually battery covers and cases, but I think it should work fine for this, and I'd be very curious to see the results.

Looks like my Nexus 7 I got at the Google I/O conference. The ones with the white backs they gave out also have black trims.
I think its funny the the pic they show on the N7 box shows one with a black trim not silver. Haha

Im tempted to try this, but first I want to do what another user posted and colour the X on the back in the Nexus Colours.
He used tape and it looked awesome.
Could be a nice little project its just buying a whole roll of coloured tape (For each colour = 4!) for a little strip is pointsless haha :/

I added another layer last night and now it looks even better. I may smooth down any rough spots and give it another layer tonight. Will post pics later.

I agree. The trim should have been black from the start, and aluminium or stainless steel painted black would have been great!

I wonder, can the silver trim be separated from the body? This would make changing it to black much easier.

I dont mind alu bumper but absolutely hate those that have excessive gaps and doesnt cover the buttons.

Contrary to some of the other opinions I think the silver top blue bottom case on the white Note 2 is absolutely gorgeous it's like if Kate Upton was a phone with a case it would be the silver and blue with white note 2. That rhymes silver and blue with white note 2. HAHAHA.

It's incredibly pricey, but I'm still entertaining the possibility
Edit... Before I just checked out the pics. Just watched the video and now I'm SERIOUSLY contemplating getting one! It would be tits with the blue top part and bottom black.

yeah.. not a fan either. Case looks WAY too bulky, especially around the bottom. I've seen some decent aluminum cases.. and for me, this isn't it.
It looks like the volume switch will be very difficult to use.
but.. hope it works out for you..

I've got it on my M*. Fits very well, adds just the right amount of grip to the back to prevent the phone from sliiping if you keep it in a shirt pocket. You do have to black out the inside of the flash cut out to prevent flash bleed into the cover but doesn't seem to interfere with flash pictures. Can't go wrong for the price.

I am using the red one right now. Best purchase for the money. It's slim with some protection. And looks really good.

I decided to give this case a shot. I ordered mine on Amazon today and will be getting it tomorrow. I got the clear case. hopefully its good but from everything i have read it will be great

I did end up buying the red case. I wanted a case that added grip and color at minimal extra heft. This was exactly that!

I like the cut outs on this one (separation of camera/LEDs, indents for ports) but one thing I did notice about the unit I received that is keeping me from using it is that the cut outs are sloppy and rough. They've got jaggies. I was able to over look some of these but the one that keeps from putting this case back on is the bezel around the LCD. It also has jaggies and was uncomfortable to use.
Perhaps I just got a bum unit, but just thought I'd share my experience.

My case had a very similarly sharp feel. It was an easy fix to use 500 grit sand paper to smooth it over. That took 5 minutes. I'm not sure I would qualify the cutouts as "sloppy" though, as it implies that it doesn't "look" good. It does look good, just don't really touch it, until you've sanded it down.

Yea me have a red lava too, original silicone case is turning yellowish. I'd like to know too if i can get the black/dark coloured one

Using the black for two months now all good.. really liked it.
