I noticed this awhile ago, unfortunately i dont have any pics to back this up, but ....
i had a Nexus 7, 8 gig model, and I got a 32 gig model, after poping the backs off, on the 8 gig model it says wifi ant v2.0 and on the 32 it says wifi ant v3.0
this is perhaps a new pattern for the wifi fractal antenna on the back?

Hi all,
I know that some of you have had great success with using MMC cards instead of SD cards for TomTom on the Xda2i.
Looking at getting one and wondered if there is any information that I/others need to know?
eg. Format (FAT/FAT32, sectors etc)
MMC-Mobile/MMC-Plus/MMC?
any particular brands?
Link to one of the cards I'm looking at:

Thanks in advance!!!

I've just got that card a couple of days ago done a few short trips and hasn't locked up yet i would go for it you won't regret it
Have used one for 3 weeks, works perfectly. Paid a little more for my card. Quite a few people have now tried MMCs and found them to work. I had been at the end of my tether with using tom tom on a SD card, now it's a pleasure to use.
I posted this 10 days ago in "TomTom 5.21 lock up
Very happy.
No lock ups or freezing using Kingston 1GB MMC+ (x48) with TT5.21 and POI Airport, Ferry, Parks Petrol, and speed cameras. Used for over a week around London and the south coast. Even after a phone call, all I had to do was tap the icon at the bottom of the screen, and TT returned without any problems.
MMC from Mouse2HouseDirect.com £20.95 free P&P
Spanners it was your post that prompted me to get an mmc card got the same one as you from mouse2house
Still no lock ups and as you said even after call tomtom just comes back to life
Ok, ran my 8 GB Sandisk microSD for a few weeks in my Kaiser, no issues. This night, something happened, and I can't say what. All of a sudden, the only things I see on my Storage card are directories. All files are gone (with the exception of a very few dozen). Nothing is there. Apps, music, pictures from the cam .... all 8 gigabytes gone (or at least invisible due to some filesystem corruption). I read about similar issues in the Hermes section on here, where there's a bunch of ideas like ROM issues, japan made SD instead of taiwanese, registry hacks....
Anyone else had this happen? Is it my Kaisers ROM (Original, 1.56.407.3)? Is my microSD bad? Is the combo of kaiser and this SD card bad?
i had a 2gb go bad out of nowhere.. i was so upset i went to walmart and stole another 2gb and put my screwed up 2gb in the box and put it back on the shelf..
my 2 gig wiped itself the other day. Luckily I keep app backups on my PC, so I just checked to make sure I could copy something to the storage card, then flashed a new ROM and restored all my setup .cabs from PC to storage card.
I keep all my PIM on internal storage and sync'd to exchange and a few things on SIM, so the only things I really lost were 2 music CDs, 1 music video, and a movie. I'll copy those back over when I actually want them.
But yeah, I don't trust anything will be permanent on my tilt, and that has nothing to do with the fact that I've flashed different ROMs 3 times a week since I got the phone.
Hm, does this now mean, that the 8gb microSD from SanDisk is useless for Kaisers? Would another brand maybe solve this? Or is it an issue of my rom? Do I have to send in the Kaiser?
Could be a ROM issue, a bad SanDisk chip, or some software you're running. I've been using an 8GB SanDisk for almost 3 months now with no problems.
These cards do fail; I had a bad 4GB Sandisk that became unusable within a day or so of fitting it; I returned that and have had no probs with the replacement over the last few weeks. Personally, if I had one that randomly wiped itself, I'd return it - that's not acceptable behaviour.

Me too ! i have had a 2gb sandisk fail in my treo 680.
I have got a 8Gb unit in my vario III with no problems though and i read/write to it heavily throughout my working day. Its been in there for aroung 3 weeks and comes out every now and then go in USB reader too.
hi there i was wondering if anyone has had issues with the htc camera and an 8 gb card. i put my brand new 8 gig micro sdhc card into my tytn 2 and it showed 21.24.16 when using the video with cif resolution then i put some mp3s on the card and had 4.16 gig left and it showed i had 01.16.05 left now ive checked further and when i put some other files on the card so theoretically should have showed no time left but it came up with 18.34.17 so what im thinking is my camera is reading my card in 4 gb sections
any others had this issue is there a fix.
xxxxxxbumpxxxxc
i do not have the 8 GB card. i have only 2 GB card with 1256 MB free and the camera is giving me 07:18:27 for video.
I noticed the same issue a few months ago. Mine was reading in 2GB sections. Since it could record over 24 hours at a time however, I didn't really care, as I don't often record a full day. XD

You could have a Cheap Knock off Card. Watch for data corruption then you'd be certain.
I have an 8GB card, bought from a trusted reseller. And my Kaiser reads it as one big 8GB section.
its deff not a knock off as it fully sandisk registered. there has been no data corruption is there a chance the cam software could need updating.
I'm running a 4Gb Micro SDHC with free space of 2278.31Mb. Below are the video time left from the 4 resolution settings.
CIF: 13:15:13
S:36:45:11
M:36:45:11
L:13:15:13
Think the camera software needs an update.

Who has it
Has anyone else tried this on the HD7? I have it and it seems to make the system run very very slow. It takes 5-10 times longer to boot and a very long time to go through the initial setup of the phone. However, it seems to take either a long time or it is freezing at the Installing Apps screen so I never am able to get tot he Start screen. I put in the stock 16 gig SanDisk and works fine. I thought about ordering a 32 gig from SanDisk but I'm not sure if they is going to work either.
So I am wondering, has anyone else tried the Kingston or even the SanDisk.

I plan on eventually springing for the SanDisk cards that were approved for use in Windows Phone 7.
32GB - http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Micro...92/ref=rsl_mainw_dpl?ie=UTF8&m=A2WTVCOLVN15GP
This card shows (on the SanDisk site) as being designed for use on the Samsung Focus so I would hope that means they also work fine with other Windows Phone 7 devices.
I found the answer, which is no.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=807900
Deep in the threads multiple reports of it not working but the SanDisk 32 gig that is out works. I just ordered that one and will be RMAing my Kingston. Have to wait another week.
I was going to spring for the sandisk 32gb class 2, but for now I still have about 8gb remaining so I'm gonna see how it goes. As long as I have a zune pass for music, I don't see myself running out of room.
For me, even with a Zune pass I would still run out space since I want everything on the device and not streaming. Streaming doesn't work too with without service or traveling overseas.
As someone who used to use Spotify a lot, I can tell you that streaming over 3G will kill your battery.
Words in red are a mod edit.
What a nightmare! I grabbed my Tab S 10.5 this morning and the stupid thing was showing there was nothing on my sdcard at all! All my apps that used it are now complaining and have no data at all. What a nightmare. The most annoying thing is that it's a Samsung branded micro sdcard to boot. Come on man!!! Some top of the line tablet this is!
Update:
Well, I pulled the micro sdcard out of the Tab S and put it in my PC and the data is still on it. So, the Tab S is apparently just not reading it. The only thing I can think of is backing it up on my PC and putting it back in the Tablet and reformatting it, then putting it back in the PC to restore the data. WASTE OF TIME for a so called Top of the Line Tab from Samsung!
Update 2:
Well, I put it back in the Tab S and it still wasn't reading it. So, I went to Settings/General/Storage and selected 'Unmount SD card'. Then I pulled it and put it back in the Tab S and it is now reading the thing. I imagine that's the trick if the micro sdcard is showing nothing on it all of a sudden. Strange behavior for a top of the line tablet...Anyway, problem averted...

Is it still working for you? I ask as I had the same issue with a Tab S 8.4 and a Samsung EVO 64GB card, and tried your solution several times, but it did no good whatsoever. After a week or so I gave up and put in an old Sandisk 16GB card and it has worked flawlessly. However, it is full and I could do with the space of the 64GB card.
I have the same issue with my Tab S 10.5. I have a 32 Gig Sandisk Ultra and it randomly does the same thing where it shows no data. The fix for me is to just reboot my tablet and it usually works for a few days but it is a repeating problem for me. I agree this is very frustrating to have a flagship device that has such issues with SD cards. FYI I have used that card in several other devices with no issues what so ever. I am holding out hope that a software update may fix the issue? Maybe Lollipop?

Nope. It finally just completely died. I'm using a Sandisk now.

Running blisspop by chance? I had that prob fixed in 2.0. You can also fix it with terminal emulator.

I quit using sandisk years ago after so much trouble with mutiple devices i switched to transcend cards after much research and have not had any issues since.
