[Q] How can I remove the green battery icon? - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have a simple request but I can't seem to find a solution to it; I have tried looking here and on Google. As the title suggests, I just want to remove the green battery icon that appears in the top right part of the status bar. I find it absolutely dreadful-looking and useless is regards to communicating any worthy information to me; as additional the percentage icon (Which can be enabled through the menus) shows me everything I want to know.
Could someone please tell me about some piece of code that I could possibly enter into the system build or app that I could use to remove this monstrosity? Thanks in advance.

Try this and tell me, flash in recovery (Credits to Auras).
Btw, it is for stock based roms.

doenst work. it will not remove the battery icon from the status bar. but it will change the status bar to an un themed white one.and selecting any option on the modified status bar will crash the System.ui. any way to uninstall it. presently CWMding the backup.

Thanks for the link and the comments but what are the chances of this working? I don't want to exactly install something and f--- something up without a way to revert it.

Confirmed..this one works(battery icon disappeared) fine with stock.434
But it still replaces the stock Status bar to a two line status bar with other toggle icons.. any way to revert this status bar to stock one?

Two line status bar? I don't know if I follow. Could you please post a screen shot of what you mean.

Is he referring to the toggles? Mod with the extra line of toggles.

Screenshot attached.

Those are the quick toggles. It's not a two line status bar since the status bar is the thin line you see on your screen always.
I guess the file that Diego posted contains the version with toggles. So you'd have to find a clear one without them and then someone who modded it so the icon disappears.

[THEME] Gingerbread for UCJJ4 based ROMs

I reworked the framework on the Cognition 2.3b6 and the Optimized JJ4 Rom. Tested on both and everything seems to be working correctly.
I have also included the AppWidgetPicker.apk. Sorry but I can't remember where I got it from. I take no credit for creating this app.
Clockwork Mod Flashable
arcardinal did some mods to the framework his changes include:
fixed progress bar and changed the color to a yellowish orange that matches the actual gingerbread ui, changed the battery icon to one that has bigger numbers and are easier to see, the lock screen toggles to black ones with gray buttons, and blacked out the extended power menu icons

I didn't include any changes to the launcher. I'm using Launcher Pro with the icons from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=863860
I just resized them and changed the color on the app drawer icon. If anyone wants the icons/dock background I'm using I will post them.
It seems to boot loop into CWM recovery on JJ4 Optimized.

I took a second look at the Optimized JJ4 Rom and found what I believe the culprit to be. The Optimized JJ4 Rom doesn't have an extended power menu like Cognition does. I will try and get a fix out for this tonight. It may be as late as Wednesday before I get it complete.
Bump for bug report
CB650 Wolf. Here is the framework. I included some screenshots.
Using this with Cognition b6, and not a single problem. Very nice!
Battery Percentage in the icon...
The screen shots have the battery icon with no percentage, but the files have it included. Is there a way to get a version of this with no percentage in the battery icon?
Thanks in advance.

The reason for this is that my phone was charging when I was taking the screenshots. Sorry about that. There is a way to remove the battery percentage, but you would have to go into the framework and replace each file with the percentage on it.

Same for me, after i replaced the image and my phone rebootet, it was still the old background..
i tried to replace the 2 images of usb/mass storage, with 2 of my own (which they were created from the same original files, just to ensure more(?) compatibility), also busybox installed and ninja thingie 2.4.
Same results, the pictures remain the same
(when i choose the replacement image, i got the msg that is ok, but nothing changes)

[Q] edit green bars in quickpanel

I was wondering where i could find the image for the little neon green bar under the quickpanel shortcuts?
I think it is in the SystenUI.apk /res/drawable-hdpi, but it also might be some code in XML.
Does anyone know the answer to my "problem"?
Thanks in advance.
It is an image in drawable hdpi, but idk what name is it i remember that it was there cuz i changed it. There is an image of backgroud in buttons and this bar
I have a feeling that the filename is
tw_quick_panel_quick_setting_button_bg_pressed.9.png
I may very well be wrong. But try for yourself.
BTW, you seem to have task killer installed. They are not good for your phone. They disrupt android's own memory management. I would recommend uninstalling them.

The tw_quick_panel_off.png is a square. So tw_quick_panel_on.png should also be a square.
But the element is a narrow bar.
So, I don't think it is tw_quick_panel_on.png

Dude its a .9.png so Android will resize it to fill the space
And yeah, right now I am theming my phone's SystemUI so I pretty much know what I'm saying But yes I could be wrong because my ROM is themed Black and White so its hard to tell by looking at my PNGs
@OP: Give tw_quick_panel_on.9.png a try.. I'm pretty sure that's the one you want to edit!

Don't worry about that, this mod is like the stock cm10.1 statusbar, but is transparent (that means it uses fewer/less resources than original)
and the CPU/GPU/RAM values are like the original.
To remove it, for now, you need to reinstall rom / or advanced restore an backup of the system from the recovery mode.
man there is a problem in the stock lokscreen.the status bar appears too transparent
Hi there bro.. you shouldn't develop for "thanks" but for help given to the community where not all of us know how to edit an apk or things like modding.. anyway , if you want a quick uninstall package I belive you should give users the original systemui in a flashable package.. you know

Stock status bar was black, so, now when is transparent, is normal to see differences betwen lockscreen's opacity an status bar's opacity.
If I make lockscreen mask/background transparent, the difference will disappear.
NEW SOLUTION: I will create an 50/80% transparent statusbar to fit with the lockscreen.
