Podcast recommendations? - Off-topic

So i'm fashionably late to the party again, but i'm really into podcasts now that i've started listening to them. They're ideal for me to keep away the boredom at work. I've paid for DoggCatcher and although i don't know how it compares to other Podcast apps, i like it.
Feeds i've added so far are:
Anandtech: The most well respected Tech site on the Internet, the Podcasts are awesome.
NPR Technology: Less Nerdy than AT but with good tech news and stories.
NPR Friday Night Science: Seems to be more a TED talks like format. Liking it so far.
New Scientist: Various news, articles etc. Used to subscribe to the magazine and my goto media for Science news.
PC Gamer (US): I hear it's the best Podcast in the PC gaming world. Love it so far. The guys crack me up sometimes.
XDA TV (Audio): Don't think i need to expand on this!
So, any of you guys listening to Podcasts? What software are you using and what Podcasts do you recommend?

Not a fan of podcast myself. The only one I listen to is 90 seconds on The Verge and other weekly shows by Verge.
Also 'The Tek' by razethew0rld is a good weekly shows if you are into technology.

Hey guys, I am a longtime XDA member, coming from the HTC EVO 4G, to the Samsung Galaxy S2, I love my android device, but more so, I absolutely love gaming.
I am making this post because I wanted to let everyone know something.
I run a live stream in which I play various pc games ranging from MW3, to Star Wars: The Old Republic.
I am not top ranked player, I am just a regular guy who enjoys playing games, and wishes to share my experiences
with anyone who wants to hang out. However the biggest reason for this post is to announce that I am doing a giveaway.
On Saturday February 4th, at 12pm PST I will be giving a copy of Star Wars: The Old Republic, combined with a 60day Timecard
To be eligible to win the giveaway there are 3 simple requirements that must be met.

2. Follow me on twitter for future updates to the stream www.twitter.com/dalmeratv

This is an open invitation for everyone to come check out my stream.
I would love for everyone to atleast come and check it out, like it or hate it, decide for yourself.

We discussed Nintendo's lack of AC adapters, Microsofts NPD results and price points, Sony's top selling games, and a lady named Margaret as well as an extra special announcement.
Please if you like podcasts, give this a shot, download either via iTunes or the drive link below, I would appreciate feedback if you are willing!

Netflix - What's hot

The purpose of this thread is to both provide others with ideas of what to watch and perhaps build interest in shows that you may have not previously considered.
List (in your own words):
The shows that you are currently watching
What the are about
Why you like them
Black Mirror (Contains profanity)
About: A dystopian future drama/sci-fi series in which humanity has become enslaved in itself. Each episode is basically it's own show and has some sort of bizarre twist.
Why I like it: It's bizarre, you don't really know the twist until the end and it is a fresh take at TV. Nothing is outside the realm of possibility on this show. (Netflix is renewing this one)
The Transporter (Contains nudity)
About: Based on the movies, it a series of mini-stories of Frank's life as the transporter
Why I like it While it isn't the same actor as the movie (Jason Statham), it is entertaining never the less. It's a bit cheesy but the plot lines are interesting and the special effects aren't bad.
X-Files
About: Mystery stories about the bizarre and aliens.
Why I like it: Really really cheesy by todays standards but its nostalgia.
Hemlock Grove (Contains profanity)
About: To be honest I have no fricken clue but see below
Why I like it It has a bizarre feel to it, almost like American Horror story'ish but better
LillyHammer (Contains profanity & Nudity)
About: A comedy mob story about a mobster who goes into hiding in Norway and tries to live a quite life but don't go as planned.
Why I like it It's got Steven Van Zandt from the Sopranos and it is just a funny awkward humors show.
Marco Polo (Contains profanity & Nudity)
About: Netflix's verison of Game of Thrones but taking place in Asia. That about sums it up.
Why I like it It's a different take on Game of Thrones (which I have never seen because I don't have HBO)
Orange is the New Black (Contains profanity & Nudity)
About: A girl who made all the right choices to live the high life find that they were wrong once she's grown up. Goes to prison and learns that life is very different.
Why I like it It's interesting to see how different interaction is on the inside and the characters she encounters. Crazy Eyes is hilarious too.
House of Cards
I just binge watched all 3 seasons of House of Cards this Labor Day weekend. It was pretty good and I recommend it. Political drama with scandals, getting ahead, etc etc
Very reflective of our current political scene with the lack of ethics etc, but holds your attention with amazing acting, especially by Kevin Spacey who was an awesome actor in his own right before the show.
Definitely recommend, and you can get all 3 seasons on Netflix, with season 4 coming in 2016 (filming now)
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
This show is funny as hell. And not that lame humor you see in most shows like Big Bang Theory and Friends etc (no offense if you like those shows) but more subtle and "intelligent" humor, somewhat like 30 Rock but even a bit different and better I think.
The plot doesn't matter too much, but it's some girl who was in a bunker for years while some dude had them in there because they thought the end of the world happened, then she comes out to see the world etc, but it's really funny and definitely recommended. Season 1 is on Netflix to binge watch, season 2 coming in 2016.
__________________________________________________
Both shows I mention are actually owned by Netflix, who in my opinion has hit home runs with their original broadcasting.
@SyCoREAPER - you've got me interested in Black Mirror now, never even heard of it and have been looking for a new binge watching show to compliment my Sunday NFL couch sitting!
I watch very little TV, I will go a month without watching literally anything then spend 3 days literally do nothing but binge watching a show, so these Netflix shows are really good for that purpose.

Not really on topic for this thread, but I think you can only do it with a VPN possibly... probably better to discuss it in another thread though.

Can you recommend any 'Android enthusiasts' channels on Youtube?

Hi
I love watching Youtube in my free time, especially when i can watch something, which i enjoy the most. One of those things is my interest into Android. I like to be up to date with the newest tech and phones which are coming out and for this info i usually watch Android Authority, Android Central, Erica Griffin, Pocketnow and sometimes other channels focusing on this topic.
But there is also second 'branch' of my interest, which applies to Android development, rooting, custom ROMs etc. There are some channels which i really enjoy watching like xdatv (duh ) Max Lee (High on Android), rootjunky.com. But not every channel is focusing on this topic as much as i would like to have e.g. 40% Android 30% Headphones 30% Cameras. And don't get me wrong i subscribe to channels like those, i just watch videos which are interesting for me
So i need your help here. Can you recommend any of your favourite youtubers, which are focusing most of their content on 'Android things'?? Y'all know what i mean
Or if, you just like to watch channels about newest and greatest in Android world, also let me know, i'm curious to check them out as well :good:
Yea, there are loads, pocket now, android authority, Mr Mobile, techno buffalo.
If you know some spanish, try watching Pro Android
This dude is great:

Love his rom, font and app reviews.
This dude is best though, but he is inactive he might comeback.

Is there anyone interested in Co-Hosting a Podcast with me?

I have been an avid enthusiast of all kinds of tech, and I read XDA, The Verge, Droid-Life, and Ars Technica (among others and in no particular order) daily. My wife understands what I say when I explain things to her, but I can tell that she just doesn't care xD, so I'm interested in starting a Podcast. While I don't plan on getting to any professional level with it, I do want it to have the level of quality that Ars and XDA readers deserve.
If you think you'd be interested in joining me in a 2 or 3 person Podcast, let me know. I posted in /r/podcasts, but I didn't get a whole lot of response from there yet.
I'm mostly interested in having a Podcast run in the model of something like Upgrade by Relay FM or Hello Internet, where we discuss all kinds of things similar to the genre. I don't think I can dedicate more than one episode every two weeks due to my schedule, but I believe I can manage that with little issue. I have an unlimited Google Drive account, and if I can't get an iTunes and Google Play supported set up with RSS support, I will probably front the $5/month to use Libsyn, so all I think I'm interested in is someone who may be willing to help with the growing pains of editing audio, coming up with topics to discuss, and ensure we have good quality sound on both sides.
