Hello guys,
I've used an iphone and a Galaxy S3 before I bought this Htc One, and I didn't have any issues at all with automatic receive in the email app.
But on HTC One the only way I see new emails, is when I enter the app.
I've turned Smart Sync On, but the is no difference at all.
Sorry for my bad english, and thanks for your help.
Hi Mannie,
There are 2 settings you'll want to check.
Within the email client go into Settings -> Sync, Send & Receive and set the sync schedule settings.
Next go into the phones Settings -> Auto sync and make sure Auto sync is On and under the Manage Accounts section that "Mail" is in the list of managed accounts.
Cheers,
Ken
Also make sure your data is on ie 3g or 4g

I have everything in my sync and also configured in my facebook settings to receive the notifications....But so far, I just receive one time...Is set to sync every 30min...But it worked one time only....
I know that is a know issue, I just would like to know if someone know how to fix that...
I wanted to receive notifications when i have messages, comments and new requests....
I just configured everything in the facebook settings on my phone...is still not working....
You did know you can activate your phone through Facebook to receive sms notifications.
Sign into Facebook>Account>Account Settings>Mobile Tab
See if that will do what you want. Facebook sync is meh at best.
Added: "Standard messaging rates apply"
Facebook notification is badly broken across all android phones and there's no excuse for it

yeah i wish we had the iphones facebook notifications..the only good thing about the iphone lol
So still no fix for this? My notifications worked before the most recent Facebook app update. Way to go, Facebook.
If you use Hotmail for facebook, Just sync it via EAS in
Settings > Accounts and sync > Add account > Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
You will get notifications via hotmail instantly.

Guys, I know this is an old thread but I want to see if someone can confirm that notifications work with this facebook apk.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200174
It is a blacked out version which I honestly think is better without notifications, but I started getting them after installing. So if anyone could confirm it works for them, great! If not, I got lucky and at least we have a cooler looking version of facebook.
Hi, I used to have a HTC Desire before switching to the SGS. The Desire had a Sync now app, which basically allowed me to start/force the sync process for my calendars. Which was especially convenient when I wanted to edit some events on the computer and wanted to.see.the results immediately...
I can't find a similar function on my SGS. So I'd love to know whether it burried somewhere deep in the menus or is it really not there at all? If the latter's the case, I'd like to know if there is any third party app that can force start a sync process.
Thx.

Try Settings > Accounts and sync > select the account you want to sync under "Manage accounts", you should then see options to Sync Contacts, Sync Calendar, etc.
you could also use the Power control widget on Froyo to disable and re-enable the sync. It usually forces the applications to sync.

Almost, once I was in the account details I had to press menu key and then a sync now option appeared.
Thx for the suggestions.

Hi everybody,
I really like the Motorola stock email app on the Atrix HD.
However, I can't seem to find a way to show all my inbox emails (or all emails in other folders).
The most it goes is a month from today. When I go into the settings for the sync settings, the more that I can set is one month. If I choose "automatic" it reverts to "three days".
In other words, is there a way to show all the emails in any given folder? In the GMail app, that is not a problem.
Thanks for any hint!

HTC ONE - stock mail app not sync automatically
I actually upgraded from the HTC ONE X to the HTC ONE. On the ONE X I had no issue with the mail. On the HTC ONE my stock mail app stopped auto sync just out of the blue. I am running the stock 4.1.2 OS/Sense version 5. I have 3 mail accounts that do not sync.(Gmail, Yahoo, MS Exchange) They will sync only when I open up the mail app. I have the sync set to 5 min. intervals and to sync the inbox. I have the Data Connection put to sleep in the power save setting Turned Off and the " sleep mode " turned off in the power settings.
check 1
auto sync in settings is off or on
check 2
see if you hv ticked refresh on open in email account settngs
that may be super ceding all your other email settings.
