I absolutely love de amount of detail that you put on here, its enough to tell you that you have no root access.
Can you get into bootloader? (camera+power)
i do have it tho thats the thing. i have cyanogen 4.2.5 but after installing that a couple of weeks ago i have not been able to access my recovery console but once.

Happy holidays lol
I used to be able to boot into recovery mode by turning of my phone then holding Volume Down then the power button then press Home for recovery but now when ever I try to do it I just get stuck in the HTC white screen. I'm running Cyanogen Mod 7 and I tried booting into recovery through Rom Manage too. I have Clockwork recovery btw. I can boot my phone fine but I currently want to go to recovery to try some roms out. While you're here any good roms out right now that are stable?
Thanks (Haven't been back here in months).
Try an app called quickboot from the play store.

You sir have to flash a recovery. The red triangle means you haven't flashed a recovery. Are you s-off?

Hi, thank you for answering, no I'm not S-off. How can I go S-off?
Are ya cdma or gsm? Also you don't have to be s-off to flash a recovery. Id recommend darch's method for s-off. Also I'd recommend Ra1.7 for your recovery.
#Root-Hack_Mod*Always\
Here's the link for s-off "cdma" only. There's a link on the last post that should have the zip. If not go back a few pages I posted one on that thread a while ago but the link should still be good.

My bad here's the link

Also here's the recovery I mentioned. If the links are dead just send me a pm or post here and I'll post it for you.

thanks bro. I've been using cwm for all these times and i'm pretty comfortable with it. will try it some other time. btw i'm planning on upgrading to a redmi note 4 this week. i heard it is easy to customize and get good roms. after android one, i don't think i can use a phone without rooting or custom roms for long anymore hehe...

Wow, nice.
I too have a redmi-note-4 64GB one, it's quite good.
As you can see development is also topnotch atm, it's kicking!
Yes, once you get addicted into Android, you can't just leave it lol.
It's easy to customize with Miui, like themes etc.. But as a Android one user, you will feel like you need to flash an AOSP based rom and get rid of Miui.

Yes LOL!
But youve to unlock its bootloader first, for a kind info - Unlocking bootloader was like really really pain in ass!
You've to apply for that via their website then wait for their approvals, once you get approvals then try unlocking oem, it'll fail... Fail.. Fail..again n again, but one day it'll let you unlock your phone successfully. Lol
Like that, once you get your device unlocked with their official method, then play with roms! ?
