>>>SOLVED<<<
Hi Guys,
a Friend of mine asked me to flash a custom rom on his Incr s because i have done this several times with my phone before.
So i just startet to unlock bootloader with htcdev.com's method. Next i got root access. So i just flashed via CWM-Recovery a custom rom and now
the phone stucks in a boot loop with the htc logo on the screen. I forgot to s-off it and take a backup of his stock rom. Now i tried to flash an stock based rom with no s-off requirement but it wont work, adb doesn't recognize the phone at all. Fastboot still do!
I don't know how to continue and can't find any similar thread. Following all data i have:
Bootloader unlocked via htcdev.com
rooted

When you flash a custom ROM from recovery with only an unlocked bootloader, you will manually have to flash the boot.img contained in the ROM's zip file in FASTBOOT USB mode. That is the biggest drawback to only doing the unlocked bootloader method and why gaining S-OFF is better.

Have to tryed this from the faq?
Q: I have unlocked HBOOT 2.00.000 using the procedure at HTCDV.com and have installed a custom recovery and flash custom ROM xxxxxx, but it now hangs at the white HTC screen and won’t boot.
A: With the unlocked HBOOT 2.00.0000 the boot partition is mounted ReadOnly in Recovery mode, thus when you attempt to flash a custom ROM, the boot.img is not correctly updated.
You must manually extract the boot.img from the rom’s zip file and flash it in FASTBOOT USB mode.
1. Since you have an unlocked HBOOT 2.00.0000, then you have installed the Android SDK with adb.exe and fastboot.exe. Open the rom’s zip file and extract and copy the boot.img file to the same directory where adb.exe and fastboot.exe are installed.
2. Boot the phone into HBOOT by holding the Volume Down key and the Power key.
3. On the HBOOT menu select the FASTBOOT option.
4. Connect your phone to the PC.
5. From the PC type:
fastboot devices
6. You should see your device serial number output to the PC screen.
7. From the PC type:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
8. You should see the results of the boot.img being written.
9. From the PC type:
fastboot reboot
10. The phone should then reboot normally.

BTW it would be better if you had s-offed with nonverbose's tool, you wouldn't have to void warranty..
Sorry for my english, I'm not 100% sure that all I've written is correct xD

Have you got it working?
If not you could try flashing the boot.img. get the boot.img from the cm7 folder then but it in your android folder with your adb stuff. Then flash it from fastboot using commands.
Fastboot flash boot.img
I think that's what you would type? You might want to check.

The answer is in the second post of this thread!
Hi,
I think I've done something wrong with updating my phone:
At first I had Android Revolutiom Rom 2.x installed and I wanted to make an update. I didn't realize that I didn't have S-OFF and I made a SuperWipe. Installing the new ARHD 4.0 obviously didn't work, because I only had S-ON. So the phone stucked during booting on the green HTC logo on white background.
I tried other Roms but it didn't come to a happy end
So, what can I do now? Can I install the older version of ARHD 2.x (which I don't have anymore)?
This is what I can see when I turn on the phone with power and volume-up:

I can go into Recovery and have installed Revolutinoary CWM 4.0.1.4
I don't know which PG321IMG.zip is flashed or if it is the right one either.
Hope someone can help me :fingers-crossed:

Since you have an unlocked bootloader, you simply need to open up the ARHD 4.0 zip file and extract the boot.img file and then manually flash it in FASTBOOT USB mode using the command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
There are plenty of posts on how to do this.

So I flash again the SuperWipe script and put the ARHD 4.0 zip file back on SD and flash it through CWM? After that I flash manually the boot.img?

hi,
first: you can't flash a RUU with S-ON.
1. so unlock the bootloader again.
2. flash a custom recovery like cwm via fastboot.
3. after this use "adb sideload" function in cwm to flash a stock-ROM (not a RUU) on the device.
4. then flash stock recovery via fastboot.
5. relock your bootloader.
:good:

get a new unlock-token from the htc page. just like the first time you've unlocked it. (a assume you've unlocked it before, because it says RE-locked, right?).

Why do I keep seeing people telling other people this? If you're s on you can flash an ruu. It has to be the ruu that corresponds to your cid, if you can get one, but it is not impossible like your post makes it seem. If there's not an ruu for your cid you can always s off and change cid, then flash any ruu. But if you're not comfortable with what you're doing, I wouldn't recommend s off, it's pretty serious stuff. Then there's always the method recommended above. Any of the three will work.

hi ive got the token now what?
ive managed to unlock the bootloader and im now back on the cfw i was on. how do i now go back to stock jelly bean. thanks
This is not an emergency...I am in no hurry, but I would appreciate some helpful advice.
I have a Sprint HTC One...I have S-Off which I gained by using revone. (I unnecessarily locked the bootloader after gaining S-Off.) In the months since I did this, I replaced twrp with the stock recovery to take at least two updates. (Stupid, I know!)
I am now unrooted and cannot boot into recovery.
What is the best way to regain root without htcdev?
I have tried this guide...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475902...but I cannot get su permission in adb shell.
Bootloader screen:
***LOCKED***
M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID-SPCS_001

RADIO-1.00.1108

Thank you for your help!
You must unlock your boot loader, then flash the recovery you want. To unlock, since you are s-off, you can do that without the htcdev approach. Just read through the q&a faq thread. The instructions are all in there.
BTW since you are S-OFF there is no need to re-lock your bootloader to take the OTA/update your firmware
Unlock Bootloader
http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader/
Install Custom Recovery (I use the - Fastboot Method)
http://www.teamw.in/project/twrp2/171
Download SU files (UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.65.zip)
http://download.chainfire.eu/351
Copy UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.65.zip to the phone using USB cable, then boot into custom recovery (reboot phone while holding the down volume button). Flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.65.zip
Help still needed...information updated in first post.
couldn't he fastboot flash recovery and flash stock rooted like this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612576 I presume you can access bootloader? its been a bit since I have seen stock, im curious?
edit.. don't remember now what the bootloader screen is like before unlocked? duh?
I thought this might work also, but flashing the recovery through fastboot always reboots to the red arrow.
I think I am going to have to go ahead and do the htcdev method...doesn't seem to be any reason not to now.
Thanks for all your help!

what to do? any method to s-off in this situation or any suggestion?

Problem solved by Adb sideload method.
Phone is alive now
this si my first time writing on this forum.ive been stuck with no OS on my One,hboot 1.55,os-3.62.401.1(4.3),unlocked bootloader, with TWRP,with superuser acces.I acidentali delete my whole os and data/system/nternal... in TWRP.TWRP coudnt mount data/system/dalwik cache/internal storage-nothing.i get bootloop.then i get problem with superuser- in TWRp.Tryed to push or sideload many roms and zips, but adb coudnt recognize my device in the way it should.so,with no os and nothing on my internal storage, and getting problem with superuser in TWRP,i tried to run ruu.zip.it start but stuck cuz i was unlocked bootloader and not s-off.so i go from the bigining.I tried to sideload too,but i failed!!!this is what i done---Relock bootloader.Unlock bootloader.Flash latest CWM recovery.Thru cwm i flash cm 10.1.It boots!!then flash susuperuser.zip to gain root.with root checker i chech if i manage root.if not,use another superuser.zip...then i flash ARHD 11 to try s-off(fail).then i flash ARHD 52.0,again check my root.then i run firewater and get S-off.I see many people stuck with no os and with adb problems,or cant get s-off to retun to stock or run the device which is in bootloop.this is how i manage to un-softbrick my One,and to get S-off
Sory for my english, and sory if the thread is wrong.I just want to help if someone got stuck in bootloop/with no os/with no S-off to run ruu.zip or any rom.
( Im not responsible if you brick your device, this is just sugestion and way how i did it)
