update wouldnt install the stock way so decided to force it with odin first it just failed in odin on the last step, so i found the cf auto root method ran that and now i cant even get back to download mode help!!! thanks.
edit was able to get back into download mode figured out i was pressing the button the wrong way. anyway tried reflashing the 4.1.2 build i found and after flashing it says "fail" at the modem stage, so i restarted download mode and flashed the cf auto root again, it started to "update apps for 4.1.2" and kept rebooting itself where it left off, now when booting it said "starting apps" and just reboot again and now just keeps rebooting.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of reset? (cant factory reset dont have a recovery to do that with) i've tried taking battery out and putting it back in and it just boot loops after installing the cf autoroot file. so i than tried flashing the 4.1.2 file and it fails again, like a vicious cycle. downloading the stock image now i just want the camera to boot again i shouldnt have bothered with the update lol.
edit: installed stock image get same fail message at modem part, so ran the cf autoroot again it than restarted and "upgraded" all the apps went all the way through this to to finishing boot and now is boot looping again!!!!!!!!!! errrrrr i should have never even bothered with all this.
don't you have at least a stock recovery?
holding zoom+ while turning on my galaxy camera boots it into a simple recovery mode.
4th option is "wipe data/factory reset"
the stock recovery doesn't have as much options as cwm or twrp, but it's enough for a reset.
for recovery or download mode you always have to power down your camera completely, if quick startup is enabled it goes into standby instead so you may have to pull the battery first.

Think I managed to mess my system up a bit. I can get into clockwork but when I flash any roms it seems to freeze up. Can someone point me in the direction to flash back to stock from clockwork so I can start completely over. Ive been looking around but cant seem to find the files and guide. Thanks

Seems like you lost root..
- Flash a pre rooted GB ROM from THIS thread, let's say LC1
- Go to the 4th post of ChainFire's thread and get the CF Root kernel for it (so you can have CWM + root) and flash it using the "always rooted.bat" method described in 2nd post
This way you'll have LC1 ROM with root and CWM recovery installed
Damn Im still stuck. Tried flashing a couple suggestions but odin fails. Anyone willing to walk me through a full restore to stock? Would be greatly appreciated!
Think I got lucky and figured it out. Hard a hard time finding the stock rom but got it done. Phone is updating as i type this.
You didn't actually post how you fixed your problem.
I ran into problems when reverting to stock GB from custom ICS. Flashing with Odin went fine but I got stuck in a boot loop.
I eventually managed to sort it by holding vol up, power and home buttons on boot to go into stock recovery mode, then did a wipe / factory default reset. When I rebooted it all fired up fine.
Just posting in case it helps anyone else.

If you get stuck at boot animation after flashing a stock Rom, just do a simple factory reset from stock recovery, that is all that is needed.

An easy way out to dis all iz ... if u mess'd up ... try booting into to recovery and flash the same rom over ... with out any wipes
I'm on stock .890 (rooted) and I noticed the official .906 update available on my phone today by going into system updates. It downloaded, and I had it install. The phone automatically rebooted to do the install and gets stuck at the AP Fastboot Flash Mode (s) (Boot Failure) Invalid CG Version.
If I restart the phone again, it boots into Android and I can get to my home screen, but after about 5 - 10 seconds it just reboots back into the Boot Failure screen above. I'm stuck in this loop.
The fact that it does boot back into the current .890 android, (for about 10 seconds) leads me to think this can be fixed easily? How can I stop it from trying to automatically reboot back into AP Fastboot?
Any suggestions on how to get out of this?
I have no idea how to fix this since I haven't played with my Droid yet. You could try booting into recovery and try wiping delvik cache and partition and if that doesn't work download a stock version of the rom or a custom one and flash it is what I would do. It seems like your filesystem got corrupted from the root

I would use RSD lite to flash 5.6.890 by booting with M+Power and then AP Fastboot mode.

This won't work because he doesn't have root or boot/safe strap installed and you can't wipe partitions/dalvik through stock recovery.
ohhh makes sense. haha
I'm still confused about the difference between x+power and m+power
Would this be something Motofail one click could fix?

X+Power gets you to stock android recovery. M+Power gets you to the selection menu where you can boot into AP Fastboot mode to flash, or boot into BP Tools to access Bootstrap (Hash's in particular).

Most likely not because he can't access the phone to connect via Charge Only nor is he able to install Boot/Safe Strap. Maybe root through ADB and push it that way? Maybe...
I was able to get into Clockwork. During that brief few seconds that it would boot back into Android, I was able to quickly use the Boot Into Recovery option. As using the hard key combinations wouldn't work, it just kept bringing me back to the AP boot failure.
Once in Clockwork, I was able to do a factory wipe and cache clears. After that, I could succesfully boot into the OS and gain access to the device without it continually trying to reboot. But it didn't help....as I tried to download and install the OTA to .906 it restarted the device to atempt the install and it brought me right back to the same boot failure loop.
My final resolution was to use psouza4's 890 update script to get back to a complete fresh stock image of .890. Once I did that, the official OTA to .906 installed perfectly. I re-rooted and was good to go.
There was probably a much simpler solution, but I didn't know it. Plus I felt better starting over from scratch anyway.
Not sure exactly what it was causing it...probably my own stupidity.
hi all
i ahve not installed a custom rom on my note, but i have rooted it and installed abyss note kernal. everything has been working fine for months and months with this, all of a sudden last night i saw my phone was off, i went to switch it back on and the boot screen just keeps looping and i have no idea why.
I can get into recovery (it says odin mode) and the phone is connected to odin on my PC.
i obviously would like to get the phone working again some how, but if at all possible i would like to keep everything that was on there as i was using the phone as a usb drive to store my college work on and dont want to lose it.
any help would be appreciated
Are you able now to start your phone???and if not, can you enter in download mode(pressing vol down+home key+power key)

hmmm so what your trying to say is that just right after reflashing to stock GB your phone went into a bootloop after? You didn't have any chance still of restoring your backups did you? it just rebooted right after flashing back to GB?
i didnt flash any rom before, i was just on stock what came on the phone. the boot loop randomly happened last night. i have just now flashed a stock GB rom through download mode and odin.
the boot loop is still happening even after i just flashed a stock rom
did you restored your backups back on your phone? if you did.. try not to.. just observe it for now.. all stock.. no datas at all, turn off your phone(in airplane mode) and see if your still getting the bootloops.... if your still getting it then I'm doubting you may have a corrupted data partition inside your phone.
Mate, if you're on stock GB (NOT STOCK ICS!!!!), then you can safely go into Recovery Mode and full wipe:
- Hold Power + Volume Up + Home button alllll the way until a weird recovery, safe-mode like menu appears
- Navigate using the Volume Keys to "Wipe Data/Factory Reset"
- Use Home button as ok and do that
- Navigate to "Reboot System"
And you're done and safe, no worries
i didnt restore any backups as i didnt have any baackups. i cant access the phone at all it just boot loops only. i think it is a corrupted data partition as i have flashed a stock rom and it still boot loops. i dont know how it happened though as i didnt do anything i just pulled it out my pocket and it was turned off, i tried to turn it back on and thats when i got the boot loop

Most Welcome!
Just remember to press thanks!
One more thing... Please make sure you know about recovery and/or download mode, about CWM, stock and custom ROMs + kernels before flashing
It will turn the experience of customizing your Note into something really pleasurable, not a teeth-chattering experience Believe me, I know.
You can check out the stickies in every thread + you can check out some articles either here on XDA or "Android A-Z" that talk about CWM (Clockwork-Mod Recovery), Rooting and that sort of thing.
Best of luck to you!
RESOLVED!
Turns out I had reactivation lock enabled.
Took my the whole damn day to figure this out, lol.
So, if anyone is a noob like me and ends up with this message on their screens, just go to Settings--> Security , and uncheck reactivation lock.
Now onwards to flashing heaven!
EDITED TO OP: RESOLVED
I'll post this in the OP since this is the trouble I need resolving now, and the old OP has been resolved:
NEW PROBLEM:
Sorry to bump this thread, but I keep getting this error when trying to boot into recovery.
I tried to re-flash twrp via Odin and via the twrp app with no success. The phone will boot loop into this message until I pull the battery off.
When trying to Odin twrp recovery it always ends up saying fail.
I wanted to flash a new rom and I can't because of this.
Current rom is firekat v4.
Thanks for any help.
EDIT:
I was able to flash stock recovery, but twrp still fails.
I'm really lost here.
OLD OP/RESOLVED:
So, I was trying to update super su, and I chose twrp, because I have it installed.
The phone rebooted into a yellow triangle (different from the one in download mode), with the title of this thread displayed on the top of the screen.
It kept looping into this message, I could only get it into download mode.
I had to try to Odin twrp recovery again, and even though it failed, at least it got me out of the boot loop.
Phone's working fine, but I think Knox is to blame here.
I tried updating super su by choosing the "normal" option and everything worked.
But since I have twrp, shouldn't it have worked with the twrp option?
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
No. Normal is the normal method. TWRP is for those systems that fail when using the normal method.

It pays to read before mashing buttons. The dialog that displays the Normal and TWRP/CWM buttons explains the difference. You're supposed to use Normal and only use TWRP/CWM if Normal fails.
Thanks guys, I feel so dumb now, lol.
Happy thanksgiving.

Hey guys I got a AT&T Note 3 that wont boot. When i try it turn it on it gets stuck, so i tried to do a hard reset on it, but every time it tries to boot into recovery it restarts itself, so i though it must be missing a recovery, so I loaded the full NC2 software on it via ODIN, everything passed without issues. But on the first boot it tries to boot into recovery again which i think is normal after a full odin flash, the recovery is still missing. I found the master thread for all the stock recoveries, but the NC2 recovery is a bad link. Does anyone have a stock NC2 recovery i can try? Or does anyone konw whats wrong with it?
thanks

Did you use these Odin files? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54803130&postcount=136 If you did the All-In-One, you know it will not wipe your phone. I always do the four files and have no problems and it's normal to see the recovery to boot.
Yes
I have tried both, all in 1 and 1 in each. After it says complete when it boots it says recovery booting, then it turns off and turns back on and recovery booting, then off and on again non stop.
