Is there someone out there who has trying the following ROM:
S3V3N eXperience LG 4X
http://g4mers.pl/showthread.php?6259-ROM-eXperience%E2%84%A2-by-S3V3N-dla-LG-4X-HD-V20A-WIP
Is this for our P880. I have not found it in the Dev-Section.
Yes its for our device, but I never tried it cos I got a brick. Its not a complete ROM, I examined the zip and it just places some apks and stuff. Flash over v20a and it will work fine

Hi everyone, Im new on this forum.
Im terribly sorry for making a new thread, since the other ones are way older, I was afraid no one would be able to read it.
Im experiencing an issue while flashing a customer rom onto my phone.
Issues with Installing CM9 (ICS) Paranoid Andriod and WIUI v4 (ICS)
below a list of the phone's info/specs:
Phone: LG P990
Android Version: 2.3.4.
Basebandversion: 1035.21_20110725
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9
Build: GRJ23
LGE version: LGP990-V20r
I have rooted my phone using SuperOneClick v2.3.3.0, my phone was rooted succesfull, after that I gained superuser access to my phone. Checked it by downloading Root Checker Basic, which was also positive.
Downloaded Rom manager with CWM v5.0.2.0, made a recovery flash having the same version. I manually rebooted my phone, followed several
tutorials doing the full wipe, clearing cache partition and wiping Dalvik Cache. After that I selected 'choose zip from interal sdcard'
As soon as I select my zip the following happens:
-- Installing /emmc/ROM/WIUI_v4_S2_2_8_10.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
E:Error in /emmc/ROM/WIUI_v4_S2_2_8_10.zip
(status 0)
Installation aborted.
Someone please help me =(
Are you sure the rom you're trying to flash is for the P990? The filename seems to suggest that it's for the Galaxy S2.

I have seen several vids of people using CM9 on a P990, I could give other roms a try as well, what ROM would you suggest me to try?
Yes, there are several roms based on CM9 available for the P990.
I'm using CM7 stable at the moment, so can't comment on how good any of them are. Have a look in the development forum and read the threads for the various options.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1002
Just to reiterate, though, the rom you choose must be for the P990. Roms are not interchange between devices

Hello all,
I have a LG P999 (Optimus 2X) running on WIND that will not connect to the network. it was attempted to upgrade from Ice Cream Sandwich to Jelly Bean but was not successful. it was then tried to restore the device twice and here it is.
The current specs are:
- Android 2.2.2
- Baseband version – Unknown
- Kernal version – 2.6.32.9
- Build number – FRG83G
- Software version – LG-P999-AWC-V11h
The phone is a GSM device running on 1700 frequency on Wind Mobile in Canada.
Does anyone have suggestions/recommendations on how i should restore this device ? Where can we get the latest stock firmware and what program should we use to flash it with?
Thanks in advance,
1. WIND never updated the P999 beyond Froyo, sadly. There aren't going to be any ICS/JB updates
2. Use LG's own tool to restore back to stock Froyo.
3. If you want any custom ROMs that allow the phone part of the phone to work, it's GB or a hackfest ICS/JB. Official CM10 with hardware acceleration has been shown to work perfectly except the phone radio won't work and so it becomes useless as a phone...
You will find vastly more support at the G2X forums, http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1114. Although Wind and Videotron brand the P999 as an Optimus 2X, hardware wise it is really the same as the American G2X.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
As for the custom roms at this point im not interested. I will be happy if I can get the latest software on the phone and it working properly.
Do you know the name of LG's tool to do this? Or where I can download it?
Thanks for the help

Just to clarify, are you having a problem with your phone, i.e. is it bricked or supper buggy right now? If your phone is working fine and dandy, then there is no official "latest software" on the WIND version of the P999. To go beyond Froyo you will need a custom ROM (which works far better than stock anyways).

is this the software you are talking about?
http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-P999
LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOL
The phone turns on and you can get to its desktop with the apps and so on however it is not working correctly, it does not connect to the wind network or anything like that. It was flashed/updated with some other firmware and now it does not work properly so I'm trying to fix it for somebody.
Thanks

Yeah you can use that tool.
Alternatively, try rooting then using GetRIL.

I'll give the tool a try as I have never done rooting so would not even know where to start. The tool seems the easiest if it will work.
Hello,
So, I flashed official ICS to Optimus 2x P990. After that, LG software recongnized my phone and offered to update the
phone once again to XXXB something version of ICS.
Now, don't get me wrong. Update to B changed nothing, the phone still lags. It lags without having anything else installed.
Are there ways to overcome lag problems? I was given this old phone by a relative to learn Android dev since emulator is slow
but experience while testing is also horrible.
If you switch Chrome on, it takes forever to load and lags terribly when you try to type some search term to url bar.
I am interested in fixing this phone before I will need to buy another.
Regards.

Hi.
This is my first post but i'll try to answer your question.
Stock ICS rom is laggy indeed. Try to use custom ROM. I'm now using Paranoid Android ROM 4.45 and it went smoother.
Cheers.
You can use this modified ICS ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-2x/development/rom-slimfaststockpluss-t2883798
It's so much better.
Hello,
I'm newbie about this stuff. I was using this phone with CM10.1 and I need to restore it to the stock ROM if possible. So I checked CM updates and installed 7.1 but didn't want that tho. Anyway if anyone has a little time to guide me with restoring to custom ROM, I would be grateful.
I Googled but don't understand many thing
Hello Guys, i tried to Flash Enox Rom to my LG Optimus 4x HD but..
The Message Use only original batteries! Power OFF every Time comes up.
And then The Phone is Shutdown itself.
This never Happends with CyanogenMod Roms.
Any way to Remove this?
Thanks.
@GioCustomROM currently no one is using Enox Rom . Even I don't know about any such rom is available for p880.
Thanks
