Relocked bootloader, now only boots into bootloader - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I relocked my bootloader using the AIO ToolKit, but now the phone only boots into the bootloader. Even if I choose recovery, in just goes back to the bootloader. Is there any way to fix this? I can't use an RUU because of incorrect CID (Orange).

You need stock recovery I think before you relock it.

Ah OK, I'll give that a shot thanks
What's the best way to get back to stock recovery (for CID ORANG001)?

[Q] My hTC ONE need your help pls

Hi,
I got a big problem after i have unlock boot-loader.
after unlock boot loader i try to install OTA update 1.29.401.12 and i got an error, then the device freeze in this screen
sorry i can't insert the image, but its black screen and HTC logo in the middle and there are 4 triangle on the corners
Now i have to flash the stock RUU ROM right? if its yes i need the link of the ROM!!
thanx
Can you boot the device like normally? If so, just relock your device, install OTA and then unlock again. OTAs can't be flashed with unlocked bootloader or custom roms.

Unroot Hboot 1.54 S-on

Hi,
My camera had problems focusing so I tried flashing the GPE ROM in hope of it would fix my camera - no luck. Now I need to get it back for repair so I need to get it back to complete stock.
Got my bootloader relocked, and i'm back on the 4.2.2 stock sense 5 ROM since I did a nandroid backup before flashing the GPE ROM. The only problem is now that i'm rooted and have hboot 1.54 with S-on so I cannot run any RUU's.
Is it possible to unroot it and get the stock recovery ?
My version is:
Baseband 4A.17.3250.14
Version 2.24.401.1
Flash the Mike1986's stock rom, and the stock recovery, after relock your bootloader and you will be stock

If you flashed the stock ROM you're not rooted.
The problem is probably that you're relocked, with no way of becoming locked.
The best you can do is HTCDev unlock and install stock recovery, then relock again and hope that's close enough.
Or wait for S-OFF on 1.54 or, if you really are "locked" vs "relocked", find or wait for the 2.24.401 RUU.

you are right, just checked with root checker and I am not rooted. But how do I know which recovery I am running? As of right now nothing happens when I try to enter the recovery in bootloader. I guess it is becaused I just relocked the bootloader?

Not sure how to check which recovery. Normally a nandroid has the custom recovery, unless you fastboot boot recovery.img with it stock (which you should, but is usually left out of the guides).
However, somewhere it will say "tampered" (hboot?) if you have unsigned software installed. If it doesn't say tampered, you have stock stuff.

It says tampered and as far as I can understand from other threads, it will keep saying that no matter what I do.
But I didnt fastboot any recovery image, just restored the nandroid backup in my custom recovery.
So I guess I have to unlock the bootloader and flash the stock recovery.
Thank you for your explanations

I'm pretty sure tampered goes away when all the partitions have signed software, but I'm open to correction. Where does it say that?
Nah, the fastboot boot is the first step after unlocking, before you flash custom recovery, you should boot it and then nandroid and then flash custom recovery and ROM or root. That way your nandroid is actual stock.
Anyway yeah, unlock, flash stock, relock (unless you're "locked" vs "relocked") should be fine.
You can only remove the tampered flag when you are S-Off, obviously not an option at the moment on Hboot 1.54 .. Same goes for changing the relocked back to locked, S-Off needed. As Guich said, check mike1986's threads as he has the stock recovery image to install using fastboot.
When you did your Nandroid backup, did you check to backup recovery? if not you will need to install it again using the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"

[Q] Reboots Straight to HBOOT/FASTBOOT

I need help with figuring how to solve my problem. Whenever I try to reboot it boots straight to hboot/fastboot. I can't update my system because of it. Can't unlock because it freezes at the screen where I choose to unlock or not. What should I do??
What have you done to your phone so far?
Have you unlocked your bootloader?
Have you installed TWRP Recovery?
Have you rooted your phone?
Have you flashed any new roms or kernels?
Can you still access your recovery? (TWRP or stock - stock is just black screen with a red triangle in the middle)
Please give a detailed description of the things you have done, the results of each of these things if any, and when your phone started rebooting straight to HBoot.
Also, is your phone the 32 bit US model, or the 64 bit Europian/Australian model?
There's still a chance your device's firmware is recoverable, but you probably shouldn't try anything until you get some advice from someone who has a lot of knowledge and a detailed description of how you ended up where you're at.
Good luck!
What have you done to your phone so far? I have unlocked it before, but end up re-locking it after failing to root it.
Have you unlocked your bootloader? I did and relocked it.
Have you installed TWRP Recovery? Couldn't and Can't
Have you rooted your phone? No
Have you flashed any new roms or kernels? No
Can you still access your recovery? (TWRP or stock - stock is just black screen with a red triangle in the middle) I can't enter recovery.
I have no .img files when entering hboot. I can't unlock because it freezes after choosing the unlock option. It shows entering recovery at the stop and a discalimer message at the botto and goes no where
How to fix the issue
The first thing is to do is to relock the boot loader by typing 'fastboot oem lock' and the appropriate RUU for your device and carrier and open the RUU and reflash the device and it will be good as new

You should not just lock the boot loader without first reinstalling the stock recovery! When you go to use the RUU if it doesn't see the stock recovery it's going to fail... First reinstall the stock recovery and then OEM lock then you can use the RUU!
P.S. I have no idea why you're replying to some post from 2014... This post was almost a year ago lmao...
You don't have to have stock recover I did it with TWRP Recovery and it put stock recovery for you

Htc bricked afetr lollipop update

my htc m7 got bricked and stuck in a bootloop after two days of being OTA updated to lollipop, knowing that it's S-on and bootloader locked, now when i try to unlock it through HTCDEv everything goes well but when the phone reboots it would still be locked and won't enter recovery! and when trying to flash a stock firmware instead of rebooting to bootloader (fastboot oem rebootRUU) the phone would reboot to system and stuck in boot loop, any solution to flash the phone back to normal?
If you are using Clockwork Mod, then there should be a way to get back into the rom flash option. Go into your "Power/Volume Down" page, and look for the option to flash from zip. Find the zip you used when ORIGINALLY flashing to your custom rom. Do not try to go to stock at first, work your way backwards. If you can get back to the working custom rom, from there you can use on screen functions to repair the phone back to stock.

Looks like you are having firmware or hardware issue. We often see this problem (not being able to unlock the bootloader) when the phone was relocked with a custom recovery still installed. But it doesn't seem to be your case since your phone is s-on and locked unless you tell me that you did re-locked the bootloader with a custom recovery installed...
Unfortunately the only walk around for this issue is to flash the same version stock firmware.zip in ruu mode which is not accessible in your case.
Why you can't access the ruu mode, I really don't know, it might confirm an firmware issue, maybe with the bootloader. Your not the first one stuck in that situation (not unlockable + ruu mode broken), its not common but you are not the first.
Btw is your phone a GPE or Sense variant? GPE variant have a well known bug which will prevent the bootloader to be unlocked. Does not apply to Sense variants.
I'm afraid there is nothing to do if you can't unlock or access ruu mode. Maybe a jtag repair could work or you'll have to send it for repair.
Sorry

There is no such option for HTC devices. To flash stock zip on the M7 you must access RUU mode, OP said RUU mode is broken...

I appreciate your responds guys and i believe the only option left is the jtag i guess..

How to remove Alert Unlock Bootloader Screen V409N ?

im unlock boot loader , and them im relock phone to remove that alert , but i can't enter dl mode to stock , phone display red image
By red image you mean your phone failed the safty check or whatever check it is? You have to try flashing back original kdz then relock bootloader after that. Dont just be rooted with twrp and then decide to relock it.

my phone is v40 korea - no bootloader , i tried flash stock , then flash v35 bootloader to relock but after relock and reflash stock bootloader i can't enter dl mode , only red warning show
You flash the stock rom using LG UP then you use fastboot to relock your bootloader. If you have custom rom or recovery installed and then you relock then basically you ****ed up your phone. On every phone you always flash stock rom then relock after.
