I am proud to present to you Frosty Jellybean AOSP edition for the Nexus 4. Up until now Frosty Jellybean has only been available for Touchwiz on the Note 2 and Galaxy S3. This ROM is for users who wants that stock experience and reliability with LOADS of internal tweaks. Enjoy! :good:
Warning: I am signed to a record label and that being said I apologize in advance if I am not here to answer your every question. Also, because I am busy making music everyday, this ROM will not be updated everyday. Just when I have some spare time.

Sent from my Nexus 4 with Frosty Jellybeans!

Just flashed this rom, and oh my.
The rom flies! Smooth as butter, no laggs at all, loving it!
Only thing i like to see added is the battery percentage in the status bar.
Honestly dont know why Google haven't added it themselves yet :/
So far: Great Rom! Looking forward to future updates!

Thanks. I'll look into adding some of that. Maybe I'll rebase it on aokp or cm so we have all of those features. Haven't decided yet...

Maybe better to keep it based on stock... there are already SO many aokp and cm based roms... fully optimized stock rom to avoid as many bugs as possible... just a thought, flashing your rom now to check it out!

Hmm this is true... Thanks for your opinion. :good:

OMG
its furious o.o
seriously it opens apps way more faster than my expectations:good:
i,ve got only couple of things to ask/request.
how can i get rid of Gapps, not all of them.
because i only use gmail and gtalk, the rest is only a waste of memory for me.
and the second, could you please add the navigation bar mod?
Only navigation bar mod ?
because it helps me to turn my screen off rather than using the hardware button which annoys me the most :$
rest, it is SUPER DUPER fast 10/10
will test more after installing apps.
and the battery tomorrow.

Bro. Thanks alot for cool rom and your nice kernel.but please add some stuf linero 9.0 from saber mod please .so its gonna be facking fast and rock the best stuf plus its gonna be stock

You can use titanium backup to delete any apps you don't want. As for the nav bar mod, I can look into that.

So cool.
Glad to see you here in the nexus 4 forum DJ. I was running your ROM till version 8 on my note 2 till it was stolen. I got the Nexus 4 and I thought my frosty life was over, lol. But you're developing for the Nexus 4 now so all is well with the world again. So glad you're here bro. FROSTY FOREVER!!!

Nice I think I might give this ROM a try. My buddy ptmr3 is part of Deviant Development, awesome guy and awesome dev as well. If you have ever owned a Galaxys S 2, 3 or Note you know DD make solid ROMs. :good:

@djintrigue808, so you cant remove those unnecessary gapps in next update ?
I seriously don't know why but after deleting them using titanium backup application, I'm feeling weird that my phone starts lagging which in real it isn't, but you know human nature :/
Anyways, sorry if I'm demanding more than i should have but this is like my dream come true, having stock rom(as it has the speed) with fee important tweaks i need, so far I've got the stock rom with speed just few tweaks left to make it a perfect daily driver
Once again thanks for the rom.

Welcome to FactoryROM AOSP Project:Sweet. Due to the fact that the BETA
version of FactoryROM was so successful, I went ahead and compiled some
finishing touches to the ROM, and out popped one smooth, SWEET, product. Now
that I have the base where I want it, I can slowly implement enhancements as
they become available. I have added the GooManager ROM update feature and
plan on releasing updates for FactoryROM every Sunday (or unless needed sooner
for bug fixes). As always, your input in this project is fundamental, and any
suggestions are always welcome.
I am currently looking for product testers.. If you are interested, please PM me
and we will speak in further detail as to what I am looking for.

Much, much, more.....
This is JUST THE START of a project that I have been working on. Basically I have a
very stable base with a great set of options to customize the phone to your personal
preference. I want to thank all of the hard working teams such as AOKP, CM,
EOS, Codename, and all of their dedicated members for making this ROM possible. Most
of the Android development I have done in the past has consisted of device ports and this
is my first real go at a AOSP source based ROM. I take NO CREDIT for any of the
functionality which is included in the ROM. I simply merged the existing source code to
produce a work of art. The next step for FactoryROM is to include some of my own
settings and options, but first things first...

Most of the stock apps are already inverted, but I'm sure the inverted GAPPS will work just fine.
On a side note, how is everything running for everyone? Is it smooth enough? I don't have a Nexus S, so I can't test it personally... Keep me updated..

MBQ_:
I'd greatly appreciate it. If I can get a monthly donation income of at least 8$ USD a month, I can link it to my PayPal, so no money has to come out of my pocket. If I can get a significantly larger income of 8$ USD a month, that could open up opportunities for dedicated servers, or improvements throughout the site including things like: Better download speeds, more FTP users, etc.

Yep, Gapps are not included, because this ROM is CM based and does not require Google apps, if user want the Google apps, user can download and flash Gapps itself. :silly:
I have not made own Gapps for this ROM because Gapps can be easily found from XDA.. E.g. in Nexus 4 themes and apps section there is one Gapps thread.

OK.
I have added few small tweaks to build.prop, but when I edit some kernel files then I add few init.d tweaks too. And because I don't have Nexus 4 it's a bit hard to tweak it. :silly:
Now I'm going to build new version for Nexus 4..
I also changed charger color from white to blue.
I'll add more tweaks to this newer version and also WebViewDream.apk (For DayDream)
Tomorrow I make new update for Galaxy Nexus!

Guys please don't start asking for stuff ALREADY for crying out loud. You have a new ROM and most of the features are listed in the OP. Try to talk about any bugs or the stuff you like about it. And please, no comments about battery life being bad!

Is this a 4.2.2 rom? Is the Kernel OC'able?
Will give it a spin later tonight. My phone is starting to show it's age after this week's IO releases. The new Music and Hangouts are painfully sluggish on CM10 :crying:
Thanx for the new goodies devs.

I really love the rom so far, running very smooth. Did a clean install and so far the only bug I have had " I can't speak for others," is every once in a while the lockscreen glitches and is off center. Turning the screen off and then back on fixes it. So it isn't major. Over all very nice. Thank you Team Insomnia, this rom was well worth the wait.

Yes! Great battery life, awesome performance, vast customization, this rom has everything our 4.2.2 roms need!
Amazing work love the boot animation gave it that wow factor when you first install the ROM.

[rom] /// ATOM-422 \\\ [06-22] [linaro -O3 + GLOBAL -fstrict opts] the real deal.

PLEASE READ:
This AOSP is not limited to source changes from CM, Vanir, CNA, EOS, Carbon, AOKP etc. you get the best of all of them. All features included have been reworked to eliminate performance sinks and memory leaks and subtly improved as i see fit also. Finally, this rom is compiled using GLOBAL -O3 -fstrict-aliasing. I don't just turn it off where there's violations like every other "linaro" ROM source i've seen listed. This is the real deal. Latest linaro toolchain snapshot and proper use of the current 4.8 GCC features so it actually means something to say it's compiled with GCC 4.8.
Disclaimer: Because I'm using building using commits from every major repo in existence it may take a while to integrate some of the major features to my standards. I may release a stock AOKP feature as a beta until I have the chance to improve it but I'm not interested in band-aid fixing things or duck taping **** together just to get more crap under the features list and change log. Also, If you have questions or interest in building or joining vanirAOSP please message me on gtalk: [email protected] and feel free to add me on google+
here is a link to the parent thread where you can view previous change logs and perhaps find an answer to a question
general features:
vanirAOSP base: all features included, always the latest
customized-for-speed launcher2
optimized memory usage
current bug fixes and improvements from all major repos
additional features not present in vanir
attention to the details
minor UI theming/cleanup
custom embedded beats 5.1 drivers
multimedia enhancements
A-GPS enhancements
inverted theme included
ad removal
custom written init.d and cron setup
improved performance settings
browser tweaks
fast torch
customizable nav bar, quicksetting tiles, yatta yatta
full Linaro optimizations (now rebasing directly from their gerrit)
optimized networking
quiet hours, LED settings
statusbar mods
better multi-tab browsing
major bloat removal
--> PIE, APPBAR, HALO, custom UI changer, etc
full array of lockscreen tweaks
improved AOSP keyboard
email and exchange available in add-on packs
soooooo much more
Issues:
notes:
recommend trying the 0.25x transition speeds located in development options. this (& vanir-based roms) is the only ROM that has them.
screenshot is in custom apps --> apps & actions. i did this so it could be a desktop shortcut also
Instructions:
download rom & a gapps package compatible with AOSP roms
manually wipe (factory reset please)
flash ROM
flash Gapps

But I see in the OP that you might not have a Nexus 4 as you say that the ROM works fine on your toro and Nexus 7...why develop for the Nexus 4 then? Maybe I'm completely mistaken... If so, I apologize...

Rocking this Atom build since yesterday with great pleasure : smooth as possible
Great to have Atom for our Mako ! Thank you PD :good:
Running great! Just do a reboot to set wallpaper. Only needs to be done once after initial ROM boot. Happens with every rom out there that uses stock launcher.
