I think it needs Infrared Censor for a possible remote control app. Unless you're using a smart TV and connecting to it using WiFi.

Well you can try things like light Flow. I thought there was a option to find additional led's. Maybe with a bit of luck, you'll find the right one and be able to control it .

I found an app called "light manager" on play store.it can detect and light up the led but cannot.anything else....

AirGesture and etc are workinv by a sensor
So can't be ported on another phones
But devs can use another sensors to make these apps for example front camera for eye tracking and....

xperia z already works with gloves on on 4.3 software upgrade. ive tested and works like a charm
