I have been trying to install his latest version of PACMAN since it was uploaded, but I haven't been able to get anywhere. It keeps giving a status or state 7 error and I have followed the instructions from the post multiple times. I absolutely love this ROM and any help would be very much appreciated.
Well if you would read that topic instead of posting a new thread you would see that the new version was a bad upload and everyone is having that problem.

I did read ALL of the posts a few times, but I didn't see anybody actually say what was going on. The error seemed similar to the one I got when I tried the Batakang ROM I think. I was just trying to bring attention to the ROM.

I did read them but it was always late at night so I must of missed that little exert. Sorry.
Well my question is did anyone get it to flash while in recovery and then you have problems or does it not make it though the installation. Mine errors out with in a second. Sorry to have upset anybody.
So are you still not reading. It was a bad upload and it doesn't work. Also why not ask for help in the rom topic since it's about a particular rom. Also that wasn't a little excerpt it's a pretty large post by the roms creator.

What is your responsibilty then as it is obviously not to be helpful. I am new to all this and have to start somewhere . Sometimes you can miss the obvious when ploughing through so much information.

Here here.... yauhoman: don't bother posting if all your gonna be is unhelpful and rude! Why do you care anyway This is a forum where people with more knowledge and experience on the subject HELP others out. I would be mightly pissed if you had sent this to me and yes I have also failed to miss the obvious in the past and either people do not reply, tell me to search or point me in the right direction.
Live...learn...and get on with it

You don't want to try from android revolution hd 1.1.1?...
Hello,
I managed to bootloop my 4XHD (yay!), and I'm just trying to restore it to the stock firmware. The phone was rooted of course, I don't have CWM though if that makes any difference. Anyway I'm following this "super in-depth guide" on how to flash it, and it says I'll need a KDZ file that I want to flash. I have no clue where to get one though, so any help here would be appreciated. Also if you've got any tips on what I should be careful of when flashing, please let me know.
Cheers,
Hathz

Mhm, well I would kind of assume the information is stated in the tutorial (hence it's called a tutorial). Anyway, I got a KDZ from lg-phone-firmware and it looks like it sucessfully flashed V10A Euro Open (not quite sure when to know cause the dumb program doesn't say anything , but I assume it's done since It's basically turned on and I'm in the android basic setup screen).
Anyway there really should be some information in big red bold text in that topic for dump people like me, saying like "HERE U CAN HAZ FIRMWARE".
Will post again after I confirm that flash is sucessful and the phone is ready to be (ab)used again!
The phone seems to be working fine, I've already updated to V10F.
Anyway as I said, perhaps a huge link to the lg-phone-firmware would be a nice thing to have on that topic

Once that you're using the Euro_open, probably is better to upgrade to V10G.
I didn't saw any difference but, some persons said they noted some improvement...
It's up to you, now you know how to do it
And you're partly right about the tutorial.
Its a litle messed, starting with the phone name, etc... but, the OP should edit that, to someone else post another one, even if better, is a "little" against the forum rules (double posting).
Maybe one day some moderator do something about that

I didn't know where else to post this question as I don't have enough posts to post in the Developer Forum so I'm posting here.
I've been looking into CarbonRom on the NookHD+ and like it so far but want to see if I can get the customizations from pinguy1982's Tweaked Rom. His version is for the B9 version (which for some reason doesn't flash to my tablet) while the current one is B11. I saw that he put all his tweaks/files onto an "init.d" zip but I haven't figured out a way to get it to work properly. I've tried searching on google and this forum for how to use init.d but it was a little bit over my head. If anyone could tell me how to use pinguy1982's tweaks on updated versions of killersloth's ROMs I would be very grateful.
Thanks and pardon my noobness.
Anybody? I apologize for shamelessly bumping my own thread but wanted to know if anyone had any ideas. Thanks

I have been unable to post a reply on the developer forum as I was a new member, though it seems as of my reply to this post that restriction has been lifted. I'll try asking there. Thanks!
Guys, I've been trying to update my touchpad from CyanogenMod9 (4.0.4), read many things here, but I'm not able to understand which ROM I should use and how to do that. It's too many pages and hows to, and I always get lost.
I dont bother losing things there, I can just install everything again and so on.
So, could anyone with a very good spirit, tell me how I can do it? :fingers-crossed:
But, please, my brain doesn't work well with those things, I just wanted the KitKat (don't know why I fell kinda in love with the Evervolv version...)
One more thing: a couple of time ago I installed the CM9, but I think it were easier to haha.
Anyway, thanks for the time spent with a noob.

Yeah, but the thread I found (there's more than one) didn't have any written instructions, only the videos. The rootzwiki one has videos and written instructions.
Why can't you use the rootzwiki post instructions?
I know this is not the Q&A thread. Don't shoot me. But i figured this was a dev question. Does anybody think or have tried flashing the stock droid ultra ROM to the moto x since they are VERY SIMILAR phones? Is it possible? Can it be done? Has anybody tried? If not and I was to try it do you think I can flash stock moto x IMG files back to normal? Or will i fubar my bootloader. Running Moto x Dev edit Verizon. These are questions that have been running through my head. Just thought I might ask. And is anybody willing to help me look into it? Thank you for taking the time to read and reply.

Very similar is never close enough. Any ROM for a different phone will not work for a different device. Some exploit methods work on multiple devices but never Roms and kernals.

I only asked cause if cm11 pac-rom etc could do it maybe we could. Thanks for answering though. It was worth a shot. I just miss my droid ultra?
They are the same phone in almost every way and yes the builds are compatible, or at least the 4.2.2 and 4.4 builds were last year. When the leaked T-Mobile 4.4 build came out, I was running it perfect on my vzw moto x DE and at least one other person was running it on their droid ultra/maxx with no issues.
So your question for the devs was just answered by non devs. If you KNEW you were posting in the wrong thread, but wanted to make sure you got noticed please follow the rules next time. It's not like you didn't know this does not belong here.
Only try this if you have an unlocked boot loader. If you are locked then you are out of luck. Still recommend finding a build for your phone.

Moved here as this does not belong in the Development Section, OP please read the Forum Rules on posting.
