Headphone Balance Issue

Hi there!
I have a very annoying problem with my i9000 since a couple of days. When listening to music, Videos, Systemsounds, etc. the left headphone speaker is louder than the right. I tried different headphones and a pair of speakers, same problem. And yes, other people recognized it too, so this is not related to my ears
Phone was on 2.3.5 Stock ROM with CWM, tried different ROMs, at least 2.3.3 official Samsung, but Problem remains. So i blamed the headphone jack and replaced it, but this also didn't change anything. Is there anything left to solve this issue?
Try voodoo sound
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
I did. It has no balance Settings, so this is no solution.
Well, that's a strange issue - never heard of that before but it's probably due to hardware problem (maybe sth with the DAC or the internal connections if it isn't the jack?). Anyway, at least for the music you can try Neutron music player - it has the best sound you can get on android and a lot of audio option including balance, so ypu can try to even out the left and right channels' output sound
Refresh, is there any solution to manage left/right balance of my headphones in whole system [not only music player]?

Internal Speaker very quite while phoning

Hey there,
i have a problem since i got my One (april) but it seems to geeting worse. If i am on the phone its sometimes really hard to unterstand my partner because the speaker is so quite. I do not mean handsfree phoning, its just the internal speaker. It happens with all kinds of roms (rooted
+ s-off). Whats interesting, is that if the call is quite, and i go for handsfree it es quite as well, so i thinking about a software issue.
If i listen to musik the speaker is fine.
What could i do to search for the problem ? My phone is on the first hboot and running android 4.4 android revolution 41.0
any tips for me ?
thanks!

Their is a feature in the phone that lowers the volume of the ringtone when you pickup the phone ... it may be interfering with normal operation ..try disabling it
it's in Settings / Sound / Quiet ring on pickup and pocket mode

well their are a couple of other things .. there's a tiny mic on the backside of the phone that tells the phone your in a loud environment and to raise and lower in call volume, theirs a tweak to override it somewhere here on the forums .. I'll look for that. EDIT Found it >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2406524
The other thing is the actual speaker grill can get plugged up with debris have you tried cleaning those tiny holes ?

applied the mod. did not help as well.
I think theres really some sort of HW issue, because of all the different roms i used to use there was no changes.
maybe there is some sort of mini speaker in there with a problem, or a amplifier problem

[Q] Huge Microphone Problems

Hi!
Well, since I've flashed CM (had Stock, MIUI and iHackers before), I'm having problems with the sound recorded by the microphone(s). It sounds like there is a very agressive high-pass, along with a noise gate f*cking up the sound. I think it could be related to a miss-configuration noise-canceling mics placed like all around the device.
I checked earlier recorings with the iHackers ROM, they're all crystal clear. I also tried different recording apps and video cameras, manually adjusted the digital gain, but everytime I get unusable recordings, they're quiet, muffled and just overall sh*tty.
Well, I hope I'm not the only one experiencing this, and I really hope someone could help me.
Bye
Julian

On ihackers... Could you then get an okay recording of.. Let's say a concert. ? I have the same problem, the sound is like being run over by a bulldozer..

Yeah, exactly. I didn't record any concerts with it, but filmed at a local music store as we tested out some guitar amps (pretty loud if you know ). Audio was crystal clear, no distoring, no muffeling, just as I talk from the back of the phone it sounds a little weird.

No stereo speakers?

Has some update to the Pixel 5 broken stereo speakers? Mine only plays mono and both speakers are firing when only one should. I have tested several stereo tests on youtube and even if I cover up the bottom speaker with my thumb, the earpiece is playing when only the bottom speaker should have.
I had a Pixel 5 when it was released and did not notice this then, but having reconsidered and bought a new one now, fully updated, it really only plays mono..? It seems to have better sound overall, but did Google «fix» the bad speakers by letting them play mono? I have checked the accessibilty setting to make sure it isn’t set to mono there.
57 views… Can someone with Pixel 5 please check out the link below and tell me if you can hear the sound shifting between left and right? I can’t on mine..
I just tried this on my device and you're right. It plays like a joint-stereo / mono. Both top and bottom speakers play sound together regardless of left and right.
I also played this same video on my PC and it plays left and right correctly as it should, so it's definitely not the video itself or youtube's problem.
My guess is that it's just joint-stereo because otherwise it would just sound really bad.

Thanks! Then something has changed since release, because I am sure it wasn’t like this at launch. It sounded bad, but there was stereo I think.
I have a problem with my speakers too but my problem is I can barely hear people when I use the speakerphone option and overall sound has gone down. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Updated to android13 and the left-right test sounds like mono speaker. Are you sure it can play stereo before? Then it most be the software problem. I'm sure that Pixel 4a5g can play stereo file correctly.
