Hello,
Just had my HTC One for a week now and so far loving it. Coming from a Motorola Droid 2 Global. Good phone but it's time to move up.
So I installed the Android Revolution ROM. Everything works fine. Don't notice any much difference between the stock.
I love the feature of vibrate while typing. No matter if I check or uncheck the vibrate function while typing keyboard, it's still doesn't vibrate. This setting is the "setting, language and keyboard, HTC Sense input." Can someone help get this feature back?
Just keyboard vibrate function lost or system wide vibration?
Everything that involves typing in general. The stock ROM that originally came with the phone works on everything I use keyboard to type.

Does anybody know why my hero might be a bit slow at dialing? When I touch a number in my contacts, it takes up to 30 seconds before it starts connecting the call. Sometimes its instant, sometimes its a long time. If I press it twice, it'll try to three way call the person later.
What causes this, and how do I fix it?
I have this problem too as does my hubby's phone.
We have tried damagecontrol and fresh roms and it happens on both of them.
We also get issues with the internet and gps not working on and off so we have to reboot. Not sure at all if this is any way related to the phone calls being so slow to take.
would LOVE an answer to how to fix this!
a dialer without haptic feedback usually solves this, here's one for damage/fresh/sprint based roms. Other wise, try zen's slide rom, dialer works GREAT, fastest yet for me even with haptic on!

I get the same problem as well. Usually its fixed by turning wifi on then off, or turning gps off then on respectively.

I get this problem without even using the dialer though. E.g. going into people, touching a contact, then touching the phone number to call it. The phone just does nothing for a little bit then suddenly it initiates the call. Would changing the dialer still fix this problem?
not entirely sure... possibly, I think it still has to load the dialer app when you do that. Best I could say is just try it. If it doesn't, and you want the old dialer, just pull it from the original zip you flashed and adb push to system/app to replace the one I posted. But that dialer works much better, in my opinion
Mine does this too and has on the stock ROM as well as every version of damagecontrol since 2.06. Sometimes it will dial right away and other times it will wait 10-20 seconds, then turn the screen off and immdiately back on and then dial and other times it just waits however long it wants to start dialing.
I know when I was still on stock and not rooted it would sometimes go into a state where it wouldn't respond to any commands that would make it dial but every other function seemed to be fine. I don't believe that's happened since I rooted and ROM'd it though.
I've used the stock dialer and well as SuperDial and Dialer One and all have had the problem. I've had this problem with haptic turned off/removed and still on. Sometimes waiting a few seconds after unlocking will help but not always.
So far for me, 100% fix has been the slide rom or darch droid (which finally booted for me today!). Both those, not one issue.

I've used so many keyboards, and they all seem to have this problem:
When i first click on a blank text field and the keyboard pops up, the first key that I touch usually thinks that I clicked it twice. No matter how careful I am to touch it once it just lags and does it twice.
Nothing else is laggy at all. And it never does it except for when I first bring the keyboard up/the first letter I type. Even if I wait a few seconds after bringing up the keyboard.
I have used stock keyboard, smart keyboard, thumb keyboard, and probably a few others. I doubt it's a application problem...
Using CM9 Official nightly 3/27
Also happened on alpha 2 and unofficial nightlies
Does this happen to anyone else? It's really frustrating.
I sometimes have this issue as well. Only it can happen at anytime.
I am using cm9a2 with hackers keyboard.
Hi everyone.
I have few issues with HTC One m7 (stock phone, upgraded to android 4.4 by itself).
1. When I make a call (using stock phone app) right after using Google CHROME it goes straight to speakerphone. I am not in car mode or using any kind of handsfree device. Then I have to manually return it to normal mode. This happens ONLY after I open CHROME and within few minutes go to make a call. Every time with CHROME and not with any other app.
2. Haptic feedback when typing texts is not working. It is enabled, baterry is full and no battery saving options are enabled. It doesn't vibrate in any app (with writing text available), but with incoming calls and all notifications vibrating works fine.
So are these maybe known issues with kitkat or do I have to take it to service, or you have any other ideas...
Thank you so much!

your first issue (the speakerphone thing) it is a common kitkat issue, even some users on custom ROMs have it, dont know much about the other issue though

issue 1 is common and appears somehow related to Chrome. issue 2 is odd - you sure you have vibration turned on settings > language & keyboard > HTC Sense Input > vibration feedback ?
So I picked up a stock AT&T active and been using it for a month now. I love the phone but a few annoying things that it does daily on me is really starting to make me want to throw the poor phone! First the screen is way to sensitive sometimes! I try to text and it adds letters or I try to move between my home screens and it will open an app like I tapped on it, but I didn't. Or when I close out my running tasks it will act like I double tapped in that certain area and will open my mail app since it was in that touch zone. Anyhow I have played around with all the settings like "Air View" or "Motions and gestures" under the settings menu. Also the calling contact feature is really pissing me off. Say someone calls me but I miss the call, so I bring up my call log and I tap on the person that called me. It shows the phone icon and usually when you tap that, it suppose to call the person, but no stupid phone goes back to the call log list instead. I have to keep doing this like around 5 to 10 times before the dumb phone will finally decide to call the person! I am running the stock, or at least what came with it, firmware. Android version 4.3 with Baseband of I537UCUBML2. Has anyone else had these issues with this phone? Plus how can I fix this?

First off I'll say that ML2 had been known to be buggy. For your first problem, did you make sure Glove Mode is disabled? For your second problem I have no idea. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
If it is in fact stock, do a software update to KitKat and it should fix your stability issues. I can't because of root.
Hello, since i unpgraded to the official lollipop SwiftKey just doesn't work as it should, it vibrates on some presses on others it does not, i feel like it lags a lot, i stoped using it and switched to google keyboard but i really miss the predictions of switkey(google keyboard ones are no even usabke) has any of you experienced the same problem? Or have a solution?
I have the same vibrate problem, and have had it for a long time, even when I had my '13 X. I never did find a fix. I emailed the developers several times and never heard back. I reinstall it every few months to see if it's working correctly but it never is. I've pretty much moved on to Google keyboard, too. The predictions probably aren't quite as good and I don't feel it learns as well as Swiftkey, but the vibration works every time and it has a couple other features I prefer.
Here's a fix. Disable vibration on the keyboard.
Wow, what a great suggestion.
This is happening with my moto x too. Unfortunately I had to turn off the vibrate option. It's better than using the google keyboard, I guess.
