Have You Read Reviews Of Those Apps From Other HTC One Users ? If A Factory Reset Doesn't Solve The Problem, Its More Than Likely Compatibility Problems With Those Apps ... Or Atleast The Calling Feature. I'd Wait For Updates Before Chucking The Phone

Gosms works better, but still sends through delayed and doesnt show time the sms was sent, only when received it, so could of been sent at 7pm but received at 8pm but shows 8pm anyway lol
I use GoSMS with SMS Popup. SMS Pop up will display the time the message is received by the phone, say 9:10pm, but when opening the message in GoSMS you'll see the original timestamp which can often be anything from 5 to 15 minutes prior!
Very frustrating, still no solution - tried every radio!

And you guys are sure that it doesn't have something to do with your operators?
Just have to ask since I've never had any delays, at all...

ok, I am having this problem also. Delay of SMS from my incredible S.
my network starhub (singapore). Not too sure another the other SP like M1 or Singtel.
Got this stupid problem when my mobile network mode is on GSM/WCDMA auto. But fantastic web browsing speed. To solve this sms delay problem. I have to switch the network mode to GSM only. That will greatly solve the sms delay problem.
But internet browsing speed is hell damn slow. it became 2G stuff instead of 3G HSPA which it can be seen on the top icon. From "H" to "G".
As my current android ver. is 2.3.3. I was also told to downgrade it to 2.2 to have this problem solve.
But I have not done that... seriously I am not expert enough to understand how to get that done. So I have to approach the agent and ended up been told that version cannot be downgraded.
Really hope some expert can enlighten to solve this problem.

Wrote to HTC about this issue also. Same as what was claimed by the HTC desk agent. They will be doing some upgrade via FOTA by end August. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

multitouch issue

Is anyone else having issues with the multitouch? i have noticed it while gaming i can press on two points of the screen at the same time, it seams to loose one of my fingers.
No problems here. Try Multitouch Visualizer 2 from the market. It might confirm your suspicions.
Thanks, i did try that and i get point one to show up but if i tap the screen and hold my second finger down i lost point one :-( i think i will have to bring the phone back.
just as a follow up i did a factory reset on my phone and things are running normal again, i am not sure what caused this issue but happy its resolved. Thank you for your help argolfermd

Did this fix the problem permanently for you? I returned my first vivid because of this exact problem. My second worked fine for a few days, so I rooted it, but then the problem returned. Flashing a new rom solved the problem for a little while, but now it's back again.
Rebooting the phone fixes it for a little while, but the multitouch issues always return.
Here is a video I made with multitouch visualizer just so its clear what I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oI0GKZL1cqY
I think it had to do with the launcher I was using but the go launcher has been updated and is no longer a issue so yeah it's permanently fixed.

Thanks. That's strange because I have had this problem on multiple vivids, launchers, and roms; it just keeps coming back. I guess it could possibly have something to do with an app I have installed, but I have no idea how to figure out which one other than uninstalling them one by one which would take ages and might not solve the problem.
Does no one else have this problem on their vivid? Its pretty frustrating as it makes a lot of games impossible.

What you could try is use titanium backup to back up your apps and data then uninstall apps and see if that fixes it. And if not you can always restore back. I am on wild child's 3.5 Rom with mods and this thing is so fast I don't see the need for launchers so I am using stock sense.

I actually flashed the latest version of Wild Child's 3.5 ROM last night, and as I added my apps back one at a time I found the culprit: the Unlock With WIFI Free app. The problem only occurs when Unlock with WIFI is running. After some googling I found someone complaining about a similar problem with the app on another forum.
I'm glad I figured this out. It was driving me crazy.
glad you sorted out the issue.

Apps that replace lock screen or mess with wake lock seem to cause multitouch issues. Widget locker was always the culprit for me.

First try. Issue with kk's 2012-11-11 JB ROM

Hi all,
My first post, and as of yesterday my first custom ROM. Despite some sweaty moments it worked fine thanks to the guidance on this forum and some leaps of faith Can't reply to the relevant thread directly since I'm n00b.
Was very happy with this, however one killer issue that's meant I've had to revert to stock is that Google Talk (installed via GApps link with the ROM) crashes to desktop (no FC dialog) when i attempt to use voice or video within it. Skype seems to work fine though. Anyone else experienced this? I haven't seen it previously reported on here which makes me think maybe I didn't clear something properly (I used cwm recovery 5.5.0.4 to wipe cache, factory reset and clear dalvik prior to flash). I tried repeating the entire upgrade twice from scratch but same issue is still apparent.
Thanks for the coolness and hopeful for some help and further development.

Hey.
You're not the only one. I have the same issue with Google Talk. I, like you, thought that I wasn't installing something right. I even went as far as using an outdated gapps package, namely 20120726, to no avail. If you've gotten help with this, please let me know. Otherwise, I have no idea what else to do. I don't want to revert to stock because, quite frankly, its terrible. Also, to anyone else reading this, any help would be appreciated.
Try uninstalling talk after you've flashed the Rom and then reinstalling it. Had a similar problem with Google search.

I just checked the tablet and i dont see an option for uninstalling the app. just force close and disable. I also checked the play store to try and download the app, but i dont see it in there. maybe i'm missing something? like i said before, any help would be appreciated.
I'm not familiar with Google talk, is it the same as voice. To uninstall you'll need tibu or something like that.
I did find talk to chat in the play store which maybe the same thing you're talking about

Hey, I just want to thank you for your response. Its been a big help. Unfortunately, google talk isn't the same as voice. Its the chat client that is found in gmail and stuff. They just have a separate app for it on android devices. I think i may just use skype to video chat since i can't seem to find a fix for this and I can't bring myself to go back to the stock rom. If anyone happens to find a fix or knows of one, please let us know. Thanks.

gtalk doesn't work
My first ROM as well and facing the same problem with GTalk. Skype & Hangout on Google+ works fine. I was also wondering probably i missed a step.
But this ROM is so awesome don't want to restore. Other problems I am facing is that USB is not getting recognized on tablet and 3G not working. Any of you facing similar problem with 3G and USB?

As far as 3G, my tablet is the WiFi only, so I can't help you there.
With the usb, have you tried turning on the MTP setting? When you connect the tablet, go to settings>storage> and in the upper right hand side of the screen, if you press on the 3 dot things, you are going to see USB computer connection. press that and you will see the option to turn on MTP. I hope this helps.
Thanks for the replies, glad to know I'm not alone with g talk. Finally got stock ics ota but it's terrible! Prime example is Swype keyboard often appears the size of a credit card. Going back to cm as soon as talk fixed also had the USB issue but didn't try the workaround

Recording calls with the SGH-T879?

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note, the TMobile SGH-T879. I have not found an application and/or ROM combination that will allow me to record telephone calls without using speakerphone.
To be clear, I want to record both sides of a conversation on all incoming and outgoing calls without having to use speakerphone.
Has anyone here been able to do this on this particular phone? If so, exactly what did/do you use?
Call recorder app by skvalex. It works straight out the box using cm10 but if you are on a touch wiz rom you must first change the system to r/w before installing. Only downside is it is 10 dollars but is perfect and does exactly what you are asking for. You also need to be rooted.

New (side-effect) problem from this ROM
It records calls just fine; but, a new problem has presented itself. The phone will no longer block calls in any call blocking program's blocked list. I have tried six call blocking programs, one of which worked before the custom ROM.
Does anyone have a suggestion for me?

problems text messaging-sprint htc one

I have a sprint htc one. I am running the timberwolf blues and jazz rom. Today all of the sudden I can't text message. No matter what texting service I use. Uninstalled and reinstalled texting apps but still not working. Anyone else having this issue and know how to rectify it??
none
Odd, Timberwolf is a awesome themer. I would do a dirty flash. Wipe both caches and reflash the rom/theme, try this first before you reflash.
Go to apps, all apps and clear the data out of messages, if that doesn't do it, reflash.
PM me if you have issues
