Hey guys, newb to android community here!
So I upgraded my 4X to 4.2.1 then i rooted it and I must have messed sth up so i tryed to restore it.
I couldn't connect to my pc via LG software but I can via MTP so i used a program called LG Flash Tool,
now i am back to 4.0, i re-rooted but i still can't connect to LG Pc Suite in order to upgrade to 4.1.2,
in fact when i select LG software connection at usb settings my phone freezes and my pc can't recognise it.
I have reinstalled all drivers and searced google for 2 days but still i can't find any answers. Can anyone help me?
Try to fix your phone flashing yours location stock rom with flashtool and .kdz

Hi everybody. I have a problem with my p970 after flash CM7. My laptop cannot connect to the phone. Lg pcsuite IV show the problem that it cannot open the phone. Can s.o help me?

That's because you have CM. Use my phone explorer
Reinstall LG pc suite, make sure you have all the drivers installed. Restart phone, keep usb debugging on, and keep usb mass storage mode off. It should work. .
If not, repeat a couple times, change the com ports ( usb slots ). Also make sure you are using original company provided usb cable.
If still not, then screw it. LG pc suite has no potential benefits. It's not like itunes or zune... You can do all the stuff without it; like transferring files, backing up data, connect to internet etc... Just don't bother much if nothing of above mentioned tips work for you.

Stock ROM has LG Suite packages, the way to communicate between phone and PC. But It should be reminded that CM for P970 does not have LG Suite packages, so you can't connect the phone..

and be sure platform modem is activated in peripherals manager. this is what makes device knowable by LG softwares

I just messed a simple gingerbreak rooted device with cm. Though luck buddy ilovetudu, don't waste time in reinstalling.
how to get back my contacts which was sync in pc via pc suite... now i rooted my mob... and i need those contacts... and my pc suite is not all detecting it.... so how to get my contacts back.. pls tell

Can someone please aid on the below;
I have connected the LG O2x to LG suite and checked for firmware update update (recently reflashed to 2.2.2), and am informed that there is one available (as there should be). When LG suite starts LG mobile update tool install the progress bar makes it to around 5% and the application closes (simply disappears and install is aborted). This also happens if i download the software direct from LG.
I have read that port 9002 needs to be open so i granted full access to these and tried again. Same thing happens.
I have completely disabled all antivirus software and shut off all firewalls and tried again but the same thing happens each time.
Can someone help with this please.

Try update over the air (OTA)
In your phone,go to settings,phone info,and you will find there OTA.
I'm quite an experienced droid user so this was tried. OTA states no update but lg pc suite states there is one but required the update toolkit.
I have the same problem with Lg update tool.
I restart phone and Lg update tool recognize phone and let me to update FW.
That's not the same issue. I cannot install the update tool.
I have now tried on a different pc and am greeted with lgmobilecl.dll cannot be found. And yes i'm downloading from the LG site.
I have called them and they stated that this is not a common but known issue with windows 7 32bit but why FFS haven't they fixed the issue.
So if i want to upgrade the OS i either have to manually flash it or go to carphone warehouse and pay £15 for the privilege as LG cannot do their jobs properly.

Cannot update my LG 2X OS from Gingerbread to ICS. Every time LG update reaches 40% -' Checking S/W version' it says cannot connect PC to mobile. It's so frustrating. I tried removing the battery and rebooting the phone several times but at 40% the connection failure occurs. Can anybody please help. Previously I successfully updated from Froyo to Gingerbread without any hitch. I can't figure it out where exactly is the problem. I connect the phone directly with PC USB port.
You can get your phone rooted and backup your apps and data with titanium backup for example. Then with a custom recovery flash the lg ICS rom and then restore apps and data. These things can be found here on xda. Make sure to make a nandroid backup though, this will probably be explained in the rooting tutorial topic too.

why don't you try update using smartflash or nvflash, it is more easier and quicker than LG updater, or U can use KDZ tools and download kdz file before, here you can find on xda depend on regional u are... v30a or v30b..

30b. What if I brick my phone ? I'm afraid to use smartfash or nvflash never tied before.

probably this question was asked a lot but I can't find anything that can help me.
I've latest ICS software on my LG Optimus 2X (4.0.4) and I would like to root my phone. I've checked USB debugging mod and unknown sources, tried every method I've found and still can't root my phone. Also I've installed drivers for my phone and tried on other pc, same think. I've tried method without PC, Z4root. It starts to root and in one moment app crashes and I must restart my phone to open it again. Super one click stuck on step 5 or 7. I read threads about that problem and I couldn't find any usefull. Please help. What's wrong? I really need to root my phone because it starts to be slow and I'm already sick of running background apps.

I've finally made it. I've download all in one tool kit and in main windows pressed ''I'' button and installed NVFlash and it worked finally

Well, I'm actually using OrionLP (1.7) ROM (since I cant find any Q&A topic for it) and im not able to use adb at all.
Is there anyone with the same issue?
Once I connect the phone to my laptop instantly I get a BSOD pointing to lgandnetmodem64.sys
To get it usable (at least) I need to uninstall LG Drivers which obviously drives me to NO ADB... going to windows device manager can see LGE Android Phone not installed. but that way I'm able to connect the phone to the laptop and transfer files/docs.
Strange thing is... it was working properly with LG Stock KK/LP
Tried LG drivers, both from XDA and LG website, uninstall/install with no joy.
Any hint ? Wondering how can this be a ROM issue?

Yea happened to me with the D410. Go to programs and features and uninstall the drivers. Must work. If not try booting into recovery and connect usb . it will always work
