[Q] need help with clean install

Ok guys, I was wondering if you could offer a little help..I've read the threads about restoring the LG thrill to stock but I'm still confused...basically, my phone is doing all kinds of crazy [email protected]#, its not rooted as of now but was before, and I'm on 2.3.5..what wanna do is wipe everything off of it and just restore the OS ...could someone please help!? Thanks in advance!

U mean u want to factory reset ? Den y dont u just go to d revovery and wipe data/factory reset

So would deleting the files that way rid my phone of them...or would it leave a bunch of stuff behind??...is there no need to format the phone??

U can factory reset ur fone and den restore from google account see if it works and update here

[Q] setup wizard won't run

This happen after i frost setup wizard using TB, it won't run anymore even after i factory reset and flash the firmware, someone help me please, now i don't want manually set everything

Already reflash rom, but setup wizard won't run too, this really weird, whem i factory reset, the languange automatic choose russian because the setup wizard wont run

You just have to change language, and seg gmail account after. Why didn't you try to unfreeze that in app that you freeuze it?

Wrong thread! You will have to flash it via Odin, like this one again.

U try flash rom again then u wipe cache/davik. Rom unroot => all freeze app boot again

already do that too, what's wrong with this phone ._. already downgrade, wipe system and everything, try install custom rom too, but the setup wizard still don't run

i have this problem...
No setup wizard ... no preconfig rom ... and have imei and csc and baseband ... no net register...
Is for a ota update to jb... downgrade to gb and have this trouble upload to jb and have this trouble
The phone read sim im put pin and read net (movistar, vodafone, orange) have wifi ... the network no registered can't call can't sms can't data network... wifi run's bt run's and imei and baseband is correct.
Im wipe data wipe cache format system data cache ... and push other modenfs of other advanced ( i have two) ...
The trouble is i'm install FW: polsky and the rom is polsky default wipe and no have setup wizard ... init.d preconfig in polsky... change rom rusa and init preconfig in ruso...
???

[Q] Is There Any Cwm Flashable Stock Rom?

After flashing numerous custom rom, I want switch to stock rom but I'm too lazy to do it from pc and odin. Is there any cwm flashable zip stock rom? I mean stock, not based on stock. I don't want to lose the root access after flashing too. I really appreciate if someone give me the link because I can't find any. I always find either odin flashable stock rom or stock based custom rom, not cwm flashable stock rom.

maybe beaouse they are no any soo you need odin to do it but after thet you need to install su i can upload a files thet i have and how to install

In the past i found a stock rom prerooted in a flashable zip.Search a little in forum and if u dont find it tell me to search

Random thought in my mind: Why the **** you want to flash the stock rom from cwm recovery.
If you're attempting to find an alternativr for Odin, well lets face it, mobile version of Odin is available, though I'm not sure it works on sgm.

The **** I'm trying to say is I want to use the convinience of CWM rather than using my pc to switch between stock and custom rom. If you don't get it, get lost! Don't even try to answer my question.

My S5570 have a problem with micro-usb connector..only can charging but cannot connect with pc (Hardware failure)
Thanx God...i still can get into recovery mode and download mode (but useless)
Now my S5570 stuck at boot....after first logo 'MORe v.1'...then only black screen
and i really need to go back stock rom
can't i do with stock-rom flashable cwm?.... please need help

Well, I had the same problem, won't lie.. What I did, was ... Bought a new phone and move on. You should too. TC ^^

[q] flashtool not really working

HI there,
I am trying to flash a ROM, however, I need to use flashtools first to flash C6603_10.3.1.A.0.244_GenericCE-stripped
The fact is that when I open flashtools the portion that says WIPE is blank, not showing anything. I have tried to flash it anyway, but afterwards I see in my phone that nothing really happens. I have downloaded many versions of flashtools (including the latest) but it's still the same.
Please let me know if I am doing something wrong or how to activate the WIPE portion in the screen.

I assume the OP is trying to install this rom -

Flashing that stripped FTF is part of the process. I haven't flashed that rom, so I'm not sure what the ftf contains or if a wipe is even required when flashing it.
Edit: The OP says they are trying to flash it first. The instructions in the rom thread seem to suggest it is the last step.
Is there some sort of misunderstanding of the steps required happening here?

the "stripped" version of firmware usually only includes the kernel. its for upgrading firmware to flash a rom that is a newer firmware so you need to flash a custom rom of the same firmware after flashing the stripped firmware

Thank you all. As a matter of fact I am trying to flash the YUGA ROM which I find is great. What I am going to do is flash another ROM with .244 and then I will be able to flash YUGA ROM.

[SOLVED] How do I unroot and flash stock firmware/kernel?

I have to send in my phone to the service center and there are only a few days left of warranty.
I am sorry if this is a totally worn-out question but I couldn't find a thread that addressed both of my concerns.
I want a way to unroot and flash a stock firmware. ( I am running a custom rom and kernel as well)
Links to guides would be much helpful. Keep it simple cause I am just a layman
So a simple guide to unroot and flash stock firmware/kernel, please. And thank you.

i did... now stuck in bootloop
re-flashing failed

If you flashed ics then flash GB rom and then go into recovery and wipe data and cache. Do the same if on jb.
