I currently have an Xperia Z (C6603) and whenever I connect it to any PC or Mac, it gives me the warning "USB Device Not Recognized." I have already tried to uninstall the drivers and reinstall them and it does not work. PC Companion will not detect my phone. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
Download sony update service it has all the drivers needed.
You can try another ubs cable and port.

Hi,
experienced the same problem. Try enabling developer mode and then enable usb debugging.

Yes you have to install the drivers in order for that phone to be recognized by your PC. Just install Sony PC Companion and try it again

Hi All,
I attached the Sony XPERIA Phone to Windows 7. But Windows is not recognizing the phone. I can see in device manager C5303 is missing drivers.
Can anyone suggest me from where I can download drivers, please ?
I had this problem.
I installed PC companion and sus then once these were installed I could connect phone, I was still missing a driver when I put phone in flash mode.
Installed flashtools search xda this has drivers.
If after this Google the driver that is missing
Pc Device manager shows why is missing.

Hi there, I was trying to root my Sony Xperia z 4.3, and before you root your phone u need to set usb debugging mode on. So I go to developer options, and I accidentally click on: 'revoke USB debugging authorizations' so now I can't connect with any computer. Can somebody please help me with this problem. I searched all over the Internet for the problem but couldn't find anything.
And I try a few things: factory reset, download Sony pc companion. Tried to connect with bluetooth or with wifi. Non of them worked.

Correction 4.4.2
Make sure anything else that uses adb (PC Companion, any sync programs etc) is disabled.
Also, if you're using any Android emulator like Bluestacks, then disable it.
