I updated my Galaxy Note N7000 from ICS to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 , after the update while receiving message i dont see the contact name displayed while receiving text message rather i see " Messaging , New Message " Every time i need to click it and it shows the message. Before It will show the contact name and the message in the notification panel .
I factory reseted the phone and sync via kies
Deleted the contact and sync from google
Tried Importing from Backup
Nothing is working out .. Kindly Help

Go to Messaging ---- Settings ---- Choose Preview Message (" Show a Preview of received messages on status bar " )
Restart is not required though , If not working try restarting your phone ..

- What ROM did you come from?
- Did you Wipe Cache / Dalvik etc?
- Do you receive the error when doing anything specific?

I'm experiencing the same issue when I dock my note2 t889. Started after I flashed jedi10 rom. Phone seems to be working fine just freezes for a second when I remove it from the dock and hit ok acknowledging the issue. Also has a secondary battery icon notification on the top left of the screen that won't clear. Only way to remove icon is to pull down notifications long press on the icon and force so the application. Any answers on this issue?

You should post your question in the Note2 forums. Even if the symptoms may look the same the reasons and possible solutions might be different
This happen to me long long time ago..if i remember correctly its happen cause I flash mod or themes that not really compatible to rom...this error appear whene I receive a call..

I have just installed the Asylum JB Beta 01 rom.
But my screen does not come on for the following things:
1) receiving sms.
2) Watsapp POP Up does not work.
2) Viber POP Up does not work.
Just want to know it there is a fix for the same.

I think its normal in cm9. It doesn't works but im not sure. Im on PA for now and mine is also not working. Just gets the sound notification.

A few days before I updated my phone (Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070) NOT "P", for Jelly Bean 4.1.2 (I9070XXLPZ). First for XXLPY and after the Kies offered an update, that has done well.
It seems everything works fine, but the ALARM.
I had the same problem at XXLPY yet, but suggested to update for XXLPZ. But the issue is the same.
The alarm doesn't work randomly. many times just start for a while and stops. And it makes the snooze, and make alarm in a given period (3-5-10 min) sometime for the 2nd, 3rd it is working.

Install Clock for JB 4.2. And it will work ok. Download it, and I think you can install it like any other app when you transfer it to your phones memory card.

Same problem here, I ended up using other 3rd party alarm apps, i recommend Circle Alarm.

I got the same problem, the alarm go away in the running apps in the newest version of JB.
The solution is press long on the home key, the running apps appears find your alarm app close the lock
and the alarm will be works

Probably he was thinking to remove clock from task manager. To swipe it on long-press menu (quick task manager).
Iam on JB 4.1.2 Glory 4.5 rooted and moded rom
each time i try any code such as *#1234# or *#06#, I get : Connection problem or invalid MMI code
which system app is responsible for this? I might removed the responsible app for that (can not replace all removed apps)
I dial the code from stock dialer and from Rocket pro dialer, both no luck
checked with the rom cooker and he confirmed it is working with him

Frizzed rocket dialer via Titanium backup pro , then rebooted
still the same error!!!

features could have been removed. Those codes only usually work from stock dialer.
Also jb has different codes or you need extra *# added and closed with #*.

problem still haven't solved? u must be deleted something !
since u're on custom rom without those function doesn't matter...
if u insist to have it u can reflash the rom or request from cooker to make a flashable zip

I can do all of that , but I want to save time and effort by knowing which app is responsible for this feature
Friends I have a problem with him eXistenZ v4.3.5 rom, as I have insufficient permissions to write to the respective post, I play I put the issue on this forum, the downside is that I have the notifications level with some applications, such as: gmail . facebook messenger, facebook, etc., when any upgrade of one of them comes to me do not appear in the notification bar and does not emit any sound, maybe someone could give me a hand with this

do a fresh installation of your stock rom and install existenz rom.
or you can revert back to official rom as 4.3 is coming in few days
