hi
does anyone else experience the following? :
When i'm playing music on the stock music player, i have my volume set to almost the lowest setting.
Most of the time it will stay that way, but now and then when my player swithces to a new song, for a fraction of a second it plays it at max volume .
At least, I assume it's max volume, I can't verify this because by the time I check my volume, it's already back to my original setting.
But it's really loud as it always startles me and actually hurts my ears..
This is really annoying and i'd like it fixed.. =/
thanks in advance for any help /tips & tricks

Hi, does anyone know whether there is/are a music player with equalizer capability, cause the 3,5mm jack will be useless for my Sennheisser headset..
i dont think there is one, im also on the lookout
No eq for android yet, its apparently a google thing. Im hoping the put one there in donut, cos the sound quality is not the best on my hero.
And I hope they fix the volume issue with the music player (Or maybe it's not specifically related to the music player). I have to have it set to max all the time. With my old Polaris, I had it at 2 (of 6 I think it was) to get approximately the same volume in the standard headphones. I really don't want to switch headphones, because I love to have the buttons there to control the music player and answer calls.
There is no way to raise the volume in some settings if I already have the "Media Volume" set to max, right?

Might be just your case, or low-volume mp3s?
My max-media-volume seems to just right. If I listen through headphones I have it set to 30% , 40% max.
On my Diamond I had it set to like step 1 of 9 or something. Anyway, volume at 50% on my Diamond was WAAAY too loud, and you could hear it distorting. So I had a feeling on my Diamond that 3/9 or 4/9 was actually around 0dB. Everything higher than that would distort the audio.
On my Hero max-media-volume through the 3,5mm jack seems to be around 0dB (as it should).
It's a simple question and an annoying thing to me.
I've tried to search but didn't find anything helpful.
So, is it possible to the notification sound don't stop current playing music? Just like happen in iphone, the notification sound reduces the volume fo the playback, plays, and then the playback volume goes back to the original value, or, even just play in the same volume. The point is, to don't stop the playback.
The nearest thing that I've found was a solution through CM, and since there is no stable version of CM to note, it won't work to me.
If there is no solution I guess that I'll have to leave the notification on silent mode .
So I know the One has boomsound and all but the problem I'm having is I watch a lot of YouTube etc in the evenings and don't want to wake up the rest of my family. And even the lowest bar is quite loud, is it possible to toggle this to an even quieter setting through an app or mod. I'm happy with Boomsound and absolutely love it, don't get me wrong!
Headphones?
Ive heard turning off boomsound will reduce the volume. Failing that play around with an EQ
I had mine playing it at a loud volume at minimum when I first tried, but since I've messed around with it (turning BoomSound on and off and back on again, trying Zplayer, PodKicker and Deezer as well as the default music app, and general usage), something somewhere seems to have sorted itself out, and it works normally... so it's possible to listen quietly, and it's still loud when at max.
just turn beats of its a bit more quite
I'm more inclined to turn of Beats, or might create a Tasker Profile to turn it off when watching YouTube videos but not on normal music, sure it's manageable!
Apologies, I was wrong, my minimum volume is still high, so I agree it must be the BoomSound amping it up a tad too much.
I am filled with red hot rage whenever I switch apps which use sound (music player, video player, game) and the volume is different. For example, I was listening to music on max volume with my headphones on this morning while walking to work. At work right now I'm testing apps with the volume all the way down so I don't bug my colleagues, but in one of the tests I needed sound. So I plug in my headphones, the music player kicks in and it's played at max volume. I have the music player set to autostart when I plug in headphones for other reasons, but why doesn't it take on the volume I've just set? Why does it need it' own volume setting?
Is it possible to have a module which just uses one volume setting for all apps? You lower the volume to 50% in MX player, it stays on 50% in Poweramp, Trials, Elevate or any other app.
AFAIK, this is not a standard Android behavior. Looks like your player app is trying to remember the last volume
setting it was playing with to later use it when it starts again. Try taking it up with the app developer.
If that's the case, there should at least be an option within app for such behavior.
It's been my experience that if you have the volume ALL the way down (vibrate), plugging in the headphones will turn the volume up. If you just have your volume low but not all the way down, plugging in the headphones won't change the volume. That's just anecdotal, though, so maybe I'm wrong. Is that consistent with what you're experiencing?
Hi,
I recently bought Redmi Note 10 Pro and it is on MIUI version 12.5.4. I have noticed that the volume automatically increases or decreases when I'm listening to music. This happens on every music app be it amazon, spotify or retro. I haven't noticed if the volume decreases on the speaker but it is more noticeable when I'm using earphones.
The volume decreases when the chorus or loud part of the music comes and volume increases when the music is low or slows down. When I check the volume bar to see if there's a change in that, there was none and the volume was set at the same level. I hope I'm making sense.
Is anybody else experiencing this? Is there a way to fix it?
Thank you!
I had the same issue and turing off Dolby Atmos helped so now I only use it when on speaker. For earphones and other jack/bluetooth devices I use old eqalizer
