Best MIUI Rom

Hello everybody,
I'm sorry if it was wrong to post this thread again right here, but I posted it in Q&A and nobody gave a short answer, then I have seen that questions like this are supposed to be posted in this section and I couldn't delete the one in Q&A ! Sorry, but I'm not posting a lot of times ..

Now the main topic:
I just wanted to ask which MIUI Rom (v4, mintberry etc.) is actually the best ?
In battery life, stability, options and performance ?
I looked a lot around the MIUI topics and ROMs, but I couldn't find a answer since there are a lot MIUI ROMs .. and I don't want to test them all.

i think its WEUI and latest 2.8.3 ROM in ICS

I really liked MIUI v4. It's smooth, fast and stable, and although I have only used three MIUI roms it's definitely my favourite.

did you try out the "old" mintberry as well, so that you had the chance to compare them ?

I used MIUI kitchen when it was up. Great stability and battery life. Now I am using miui us miui, also really good although I liked MIUIkitchen better. Miui v4 is really laggy for me. Too bad because it looks good.

have you been working with smartguy044 on this? he too is working on a build, he has it at 98% functional.

Nice ROM. Really smooth. Had multiple miui home fc. Installed mihome from app store seems to work really well. Keep up the good work.

I flashed just the ROM the first time and don't think it had gapps. Had a lot of issues so I factory reset and flashed ROM and gapps formula 84. Seems to work well.

I haven't been, I'm not sure what base he's using but I know he'll release a quality rom when his build is ready.
This build is just an alpha for observation purposes even though it is functional somewhat, right now I'm working with the galaxy W folks and there is a lot of communication going back & forth and the base I'll be using will most likely be 2.11.30, because the code is cleaner and It is a more stable release in general.
Give me an hour or so and I'll compile a .30 build to throw up here, If everything goes well
Edit: Believe G-apps was removed by default w/ MIUI

911 should work, shouldn't it. If its based off the latest cm10

This build is broken in 3 major ways, because it is an alpha
- Miuihome port is borked for icon refreshes (this includes installing from the app store)
- No GPS
- No USB storage
So any action you cause that updates 'home' will cause a force-quit in terms of 'new' icons.
If people want to use MIUI the best version for stability is ICS based at least for a little longer.
Smartguy you should post your JB publicly so folks can debug it, I can understand if you don't want to because It's not 'complete' but does it really matter as long as it gets finished somehow

I just installed the MIUI ICS ROM and so far i like it.. would be interested in seeing how the JB verison is once its more stable.. can't wait to hear an update soon.

So miui jb was discontinued?
I am curious because i love miui ics and they may be close on jb wifi calling so i may want to upgrade to jb. And id like to do miui again

What do you mean? I just posted a link earlier in this topic linking to the new home of MIUI JB, It's not discontinued but GPS is currently broken because the location service seems hardwired to use Baidu; there's nothing I can do about it right now.

MIUI ROM Experiences

I always loved MIUI ROM since I had my HTC Desire 2 years ago... Now that I'm using a OB currently runing Zeus v7.06, I would like to install MIUI on my phone. But there are a lot of versions coming from different devs...
I would like to know which version is the nearest stable for everyday use GB/ICS/JB... plus video rec and games. Please post which MIUI version you are using and your experiences to the ROM... This will definitely help me decide which MIUI ROM I will install, because I don't have the time to test all the MIUI ROMS since there are a lot of them... This might be helpful too for some others who wants to install MIUI on their OB...

I love to use MIUI ROM but when I install each MiUi ROM I have the same problem with my voice in some apps like VIBeR or Zello :sly: my voice sounds like a squirrel ... please if someone knows what happened please help me or write in the oficial thread how can we fix it ? Because I can't write in the forum I am a new member...

MIUI rules already back on my HTC desire I was mad about flashing it

i also went through all 2.3.4 / 2.3.7 on miui , i know what MIUI original looks like and works like, so i always had petty , to put up with what other developers based on the original.. came and brought up. with ....

this one here based on 2.3.7 petty its just in Chinese and English , but i'm good for now with english.
but it is one of the fastet , bugless snappiest in the way of 2.3.7 combined with MIUI.

Pitfall performance

Hello! Just wanted to know if someone tried PITFALL for android on stock or custom rom and encountered pretty laggy performance. I'm on cm10.1 custom rom and kernel and it laggs pretty often.Please share your experience

TRY IT ON ICS.. and see it.

I would try installing stock rom but cm is so much better and just for a game i don't think it's worth my time. Anyhow i was interested to see if the problem is hardware or software but thanks for replying :-bd

hey! just tried on n8010 galaxy note tab and, well, it's not perfect. i think the game has some issues :-?

i have read plenty of reviews on Google Play
most people are disappointed

Its the game that is not optimized not phone spec even dough before starting the game it tells me that my phone spec is bellow minimum requerments

just for the malaysia poor network... never mind, the signal is no problem

ROM is cool. new experience in JB( I'm on JB from past 6months)
Every thing works like normal JB rom
ROM is smooth just like JB
wifi works.
camera works
i like new superuser app
using touch wizz provided in op
believe me head set icon works and even headset button works
Bluetooth not working. tried the zip given in first post but still not working. please fix this issue

great ROM, :good: experiencing smooth ROM, just searching how to translate tiny chinese character in lockscreen part and notification drawer, and make the video recorder works, but its not too disturb the performance. salute for lanhoter... :victory:

finally bluetooth problem sorted out now it works like charm.
the problem was with the file permission. i messed up with it
2nd day with this rom still im feeling the smoothness of the rom
it is sad that presently themes are not supported.
battery life is not bad.

IMHO, this should be move to Android Development Thread would be appropriate. By the way, how's gaming performance on this rom?

games are playable if you dont install apps like facebook ,chrome,
else it will lag
JB roms are not for games as i experienced. this may be because of low ram of our device

the battery drain is good, so far it is stable.
but i like the original UI XD

I can't seem to get the ROM to work very well and am not novice as to flashing ROM. After flashing, the rom boots up to the home screen and stays for like 5-10sec and then reboots all by itself, the cycle continues just like that. Wierd though as no body is getting the same prob.

same here， quite confused with how to break the lock of the theme, since the theme is not bad, maybe wont work on this..
already got U8860 dev version
1.fixed video recording
2.fixed not stable
3.recompilation by gcc to fix lag，better performance
4. add original lock theme
5. add net speed on the status bar
6. upgrade the kernel and better performance in camera and video recording。
but just dev version not stable， will try later with stable version， hopefully all the new features ported to X6

It's really nice ROM..... Although it's 4.1.2, it's very light on mobile...
I hope mod will move it to developer section very soon...

are wiping data? Catche ? and delvic catche? ... if not please do the same, unless re-download file follow the process...
