I Love Sense 5 and widgets but there are couple of features from Apex that would be great to add in Sense like
* mutliple docks
* swipe up , swipe down features on the home screen
* vertical continuous app drawer
is such a mod possible with Sense 5 , are there any existing mods that do that ?
Thanks

Highly, highly unlikely. I won't say impossible because I've seen this community pull off amazing feats before, but that would require a substantial reworking of the Sense launcher.

Hello guys im wondering y people use laumcher pro? Isnt phone comes with 7 homescreen already? Isnt home replacement usually for 1.5 or 1.6 users that have 3 homescreens? Please tell us why u use launcher pro. Thanks

I bought launcherpro plus. The thing that I love the most is the notification icons for gmail, missed calls, and sms. The developer has quite a few widgets for the plus version; they all try to emulate HTC sense. It is very customizable, similar to ADW... which is also a very good alternative. I think that people should try the different launchers (ADW & Launcherpro) to see if it works best for them.
Dock and dock icons customizations
Because it has a lot more features than standard home launcher (unrooted) and it's way more customizable
- Ability to hide apps from the app drawer (the kinda apps that you don't want to uninstall).
- It has it's own amazing widgets, 5 now and counting.
- elastic scrolling
- up to 3 scrollable docks
- custom dock background
- missed calls, sms, and gmail counters in dock
- 5 columns app drawer
- resize any widget
- as snappy as stock launcher
- shortcuts to system activities
- ability to assign 2 actions to each dock icon: a tap-action and a swipe-action
to name a few
Why don't you try it before asking?
LauncherPro support more than stock such as:
7 homescreen (stock is 5 not 7)
Easier customize on dockbar which stock lack.
Up to 3 scrollable dockbar.
Better pinch to preview all 7 screen rather than stock tinner 7 view.
Widget resize to our preferable size.
Plus edition having useful sense like widget, at the moment include people, messaging, bookmarks, agenda & twitter. More will be developed in future.
Hiding unwanted apps in app drawer.
Ability to add system activities shortcut which can't be added by stock, example ability to extract stock camera - camcorder app as shortcut.
Ability to add more hidden shortcut, example add new contact shortcut.
Missed calls, sms, and gmail counters in dockbar.
Smoother than stock.

Why not ?
Because I like using applications that take from other applications.
The 3 scrolling docks, much smoother home screen scrolling, hide the status bar. These are by far my top features. I too purchased the paid version.
I just got a tweet about this and thought I would post it here the new ADW EX is out I'm going to get it and try it out on the G-tab to see if its any better that the current ADW.
Here are some of the changes listed on the site.
ADWLauncher EX is based on the ADW.Launcher opensource code with a lot of new additions and improvements, like for example:
* 5 different app drawer styles/behaviors
o 3D Nexus One like applications drawer
o 2 different plain vertical applications drawers styles, the “old one” and a new fast and smooth one
o 2 different Iphone-like horizontal applications drawers, a traditional paginated one and a new one with continuous fling
* Different desktop transitions (8 at the moment): new animations while navigating through your desktop screens. Try them all, they’re crazy!!!
* New Icons configurations/look and feel: Tweak your desktop icons, change its sizes, add coloured backgrounds, change font size, color, etc!
* New fast presets mode: Quickly change the whole desktop configuration by 1 click!
* Editable desktop icons for applications, shortcuts and folders!
* Lots of code improvements
* More, more more to come!!
Oh and a link to the site:

Enjoy
Well I bought this earlier on my D2 and love it. This would be great for my Gtab, but even w/ the market fix I can't get it to show up.
Cant get it to show either!
The new animations look awesome on the gtab. I bought it on my N1 last night and it showed up in the market on my gtab today when I checked
Yeah its great and rows can be 10 * 10 now
I got it on my gtab. .... this is Very nice Launcher I ever seen ,and the onlyone I will use for now on (till its up graded)
Agh I wish so much it had Widgets like launcher pro plus.
Loving the transitions and scroll effects on ADW EX.
Anyone have something similar to friendstream for sense? Only thing my evo does better

The DEV needs to make some corrections with the launcher 's description. First, in the second line it's telling people that it's based on kk launcher, than right at basic feature description it's saying it's full is style, isn't this oxymoron? Also, there should be a distinction between the HD jb version and the regular ics version. I think holo hd is the one that's getting the kitkat update, or am I wrong? Either way you need to make the correction at the play store too. While you're at it, should think about changing the icon too. If you want to call the launcher kitkat based, why is it still sporting ics and jb icons? Hate to see one of my favorite launcher making errors on product description like this. May be if the correction is made, more people will discover this awesome launcher.

I bought the plus-version just to notice, that gmail unread count needs the 4.x -version of gmail app. Running GB , and my gmail app is 2.3.x. did refund the app, because that was the main reason trying and bying.

Could you use a 4.x gmail apk on 2.3?? May be worth looking into. You could try pulling it from cm9 gapps

Is it possible that you let some of us that follow this topic do the beta testing for holo launcher and the notification? Like how they have it on nova and Apex launcher topic that are started by the developer. That's I assume this is started by holo launcher developer.

this is a youtube video i made ages ago about cool launchers that werent well known
but personally i use nova
weird to see the post but not the video
This is a new information I came across. Previously I was not at all aware of android launchers. I thought like windows, iOS android is also from one company. Now gotta see 5 launchers. Its quite informative.
So which one is the best???
Let me know somehow --> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Au_G8juRoIiqdGtURlFqVEdzcHhPdk84NXFyNmVUdHc&usp=sharing
I have searched and searched, tried various mods, etc...
I want to change the amount of rows so the weather and clock on the Sense 6 lockscreen do not overlap. I am running the latest ViperOne and have enabled 5 rows rows on the homescreens and appdrawer. I have tried various different mods and sense 6 weatherclock themes (via xposed and otherwise) without any success. Does anyone know of a mod or fix I can use other than going back to 4 rows on my homescreens?
I cannot post external links of the screenshots I have because of my low post count. Sorry. Basically, the weather icon on the lockscreen will overlap with the clock (and it is smaller than what is shown on blinkfeed), but it does not overlap on the blinkfeed homescreen.
Thanks!
Nevermind. I finally found a fix. I used a non stock HTC weather mod via venom hub and it fixed the issue. Now to try some other themes that will work in 5 row mode.
Must be a bug in a theme or Venom
I don't want to re-install Venom to see if it is a bug in Venom or an addon I applied awhile ago. I am unable to change the weather or clock theme via venom tweaks. It seems to be related to using anything Sense 6 stock for the clock or weather. I just flashed a new full theme and the bug is back. Still investigating. It would be nice to have a mod for the lockscreen to sue the default sense 6 wetherclock with 5 rows on the lockscreen. I have yet to find a mod for just this. Can anyone point me to a howto or manpage on how to create this kind of mod? I am a bit new to android development, but I have made a few apps. I am not new to Linux kernel development (former ALSA contributor).
Thanks!
The bug is in the AOSP lockscreen.
Frustrating.... I want to hide the dock on the lockscreen. There is no setting for this, but enabling the ASOP lockscreen enables hiding the dock on blinkfeed hides the dock on the AOSP lockscreen as well. When using the Sense 6 lockscreen, there seems to be no way to hide the dock. I like the AOSP lockscreen unlock widget. Unfortunatley, Venom seems to have a bug in their Venom lockscreen tweaks where CM-style pattern dots only works with AOSP. Venom AOSP mode has the 4 row lock bug for the weather and clock. Perhaps the next version of Venom will address this.
I think I might ditch Sense 6 and go to 4.4.4 stock Android mod (or an AOSP rom) with a custom kernel and use GO Launcher for now. I used GO launcher on my 1st GEN EVO and I loved it.
