[SOLVED] Get Rid of "Internal storage is 75% full." - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

I have searched around but not found a solution to when this situation is actaully valid and the system is reporting corectly.
I constantly get this notification. I have about 1.5gb free which is more than enough for me to not have to worry for a while.
How do I get rid of this notification and stop it comming up without deleting videos/games(shouldnt have to be deleting stuff when i still have 1.5gb free), or even can I change it to come up when i reach 90 or 95% full?
Thanks

There is a possibility to delete this but I've heard this break another thing which is pretty important to our phones.

Because I know how much data I have on it. I have gone through it with a fine tooth comb over the last week or soo, culling any residual data left by old apps, clearing cahced files from the the likes of dropbox etc. And if it does free up an extra gig or so to get rid of the notification it this will only be temporary until I take a few more photos/videos and it will re-appear. I dont see the point in the space if I can not use the last 2.5gb of space unless I put up with an irritating notification.

SOLVED IT
Settings -> Apps -> All -> Memory
Unticked show notifications. BOOM gone.
Shame same solution doesnt work for the mobile data notification.

hmm, ok, I had this problem once a well and when I checked into it I was using less than 10% of the available memory. my method solved the problem of the wrong notification.
I thought you had the same problem as me.

Yeh all the solution I could find on here were people complaining about it who only had small amounts of data in their internal memory. My issue was the fact I had actually exceeded the 75% as stated in my original post. I dont see why this is not configurable. I see the point to it just not for me, 25% of our storage space is still quite a bit of storage and not really something to worry about unless you are recording huge videos. 95% which is a little over 500mb left would seem more logical to me personally.

keep ur finger on that notification till u enter the details
uncheck the show notifications
no need to delete any thing

Hey,
If you use "Elixir 2" and go to Apps, choose "system apps", and find the app "phone" or "dealer" (I think) ... when you go to its "details" you can shut that mobile data notif off. just find the right one to disable.

Removing the music bar and power settings from the top slider (notification bar)

Recieved my P990 yesterday. But I cannot seem to find the right application to remove to ditch the music bar and power settings from the notification panel.
Already removed the music application etc. (trough titanium backup with root)
Does anyone know what the application is called that shows this. Or is it in the rom and can't it be removed. (which mean I have to put the music app back to make it work and ditch winamp)
Open the musicapp and open the settings, there you van disable the player in the notification bar.
That only works if you didn't remove of freezed the music app. Unfreeze, deselect the option, the musicbar is gone. Freeze or remove the app, the musicbar is there again. I've tried it many times...

Music bar is managed by the framework.
It is on by default at boot but can be turned off by the Music app. If you remove the Music app it never gets told to "turn off".
Actually, in the framework it appears really easy to totally remove this functionality but will require a patch that I've not worked on yet, and it may require to remove the actual Music app to prevent force closes.
I might have a play with that this weekend.

There's no option to turn them off as far as I can tell but I think I can also remove that permanently... I'll look at that too.
Okay, so don't try and do this.
I just bricked my phone.
I'll need to wait for a mod/update or return it. Back to my Nexus One for the weekend it seems.

No problems, have a Nexus One to go back to which is sweet.
Don't (try to) replace framework-res.apk, that's what I learned...
How the hell do you brick a phone by replacing an apk? A brick is what the word suggests; A brick, paperweight etc. Surely you could replace the apk with ADB?

It's a paperweight.
I need a nv flash to replace the system.img.
The framework fails to load and a reset command is issued by the system as soon as it boots. I have adb access for less than 3 seconds before the phone restarts and can not issue a stop command before the reset command.
It's not that uncommon really.

Can't you issue the adb command and it will wait for the device to boot fully and then stop before the reset? Unless you probably already tried it. Best of luck man!

Keep in mind that doing it that way only hides the notification.
It will still download, and it WILL wakelock to do so.

I am using this to disable the OTA notification for Lollipop. It eliminates the notification but the update is still available under About Phone/System Updates, and it requires touching "Download" to download. So, why do you think the OTA will still occur?

I'm saying that it will just hide all system notifications, NOT get rid of the OTA. You'll miss other system notifications if you do get any and the OTA will still be waiting.

If you check app info you will notice you are disabling notifications for Google play services app. This app has nothing in common with standard android system notifications so they will continue to work. Question is, what other notifications does play services app has that could be considered important to the user.

this is annoying

This may seem very childish but my phone is really annoying me right now. I'm trying to change a few of my profile pic from different social website and including here in XDA and it all keeps saying unable to complete operation due to low memory. Anyway I could fix this?I'm not rooted . so any complex solutions is not possible. Any advice?

Try settings>apps>chrome>clear cache and data. You will have to log into chrome again but see if that works.
Get rid of the optimizer from the Google play store. It's not optimizing anything more than likely.

I dont have one its a prepaid phone hence why I cant use a lot. all I know is 10mb a day is too much

I have a prepaid phone too, I get 1 GB per month for $10.00
Any app can easily send you over 10 MB... it's not even related to data background...
If you show us your data usage then we can give some comments.. if you don't show it then don't post back here

Here in the UK with prepaid phones the typical amount you get is 300-500mb.
If you go into setting and data usage here you should be able to manage what apps get data sent back and forth or if you click the 3 dots at the top next to the search you can restrict all background data, not sure if this is what you wanted but as far as I am aware this is the only way.

You can restrict individual apps, so I supposed you can either restrict all then remove Skype or restrict only the ones you want.

Question Did anyone find a solution against the agressive background killing of apps?

Apps will automatically close within 10-20 seconds after I leave the app through the home gesture. It drives me crazy that literally no app will stay open in my recents. I tried locking the apps in the recents, it did not help. (What's the sense of locking apps there then?!)
Anyone has a solution/workaround?
Just select to not optimize that app in battery settings....
I'm on OOS 13 Open Beta 2 build and haven't encountered this issue at all. Apps stay in background for hours honestly.
Maybe check Battery Optimization for each of those apps and permit Background Activity?

I did that but it doesn't help. Apps stay in recent when I leave them but if I open it again seconds later, I'm greeted with the splash screen and for example Chrome reloads the website.

Weird doesn't happen to me at all. I just checked, and I am even in battery saver mode. Programs stay in RAM as expected, and load immediately in the state/position they are in. Android 12 A.15, rooted, tons of debloat via adb disable. I also even run Malwarebytes with realtime stuff and scanning enabled.

Thats so weird because they won't stay open in the background for like most of us. 10 seconds after I minimize an app like Gmail, then reopen it, I will be greeted with the Spash Screen of Gmail which takes like 1-2 seconds.
Chrome is even more annoying, since the website I was on 10 seconds ago, will have to reload.
It's stupidly annoying and I tried everything to get it fixed. With this behavior of RAM, that Apps close withing literaly seconds, 2 GB RAM could have also made the deal
