Lost SD Memory - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I've got a big issue, I unlocked my bootloader and did not save my One's content, now I've lost all my files and most importantly, all my photos and zoe, I'm looking for a software to restore it (Also, I can't mount the internal memory as SD-Card, is that normal, is there a workaround ?)
Thanks in advance, I REALLY need help...

Yep, I'm not speaking about "magically" restoring, restoring software exist, I already had this kind of issue with a Sensation but I can't find the software I used to restore the deleted files...

Nope, in "mount" I've something called "Storage: Internal Storage" But when I touch it, it takes me to some two choices window and it doesn't seem to mount the memory as SD card, I also have USB-OTG but it says "Unable to mount /usb-otg" when I touch it, what recovery are you using yourself ?

[Q] How to flash a ROM with out USB

I started this thread in the "General discussion" section about this but I'm starting to think my problem might be more SGS specific.
My problem is that my phones USB connection stopped working then I foolishly reformatted my system partition with out having another ROM with which to replace it. I still have "ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.1.3" installed but am unable to find a way to install another ROM. Most people seem to say flashing from an external SD card is trivial with CWM but I can't work out how to do it. Does anyone know a way to flash a ROM from the external SD card with CWM v2.5.1.3 on an SGS, or any other way I could get an image back on my phone that doesn't require a working USB connection?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Go into update from zip as usual then scroll down to external sd... if that's not working go into advanced and check if external sd is mounted

You may need to update cwm, I don't think the earlier versions hadan option to flash from Ext sd

Yeah, I think that might be the case. There is an option to "mount /sd-ext" but I don't think that actually mounts the external SD card. I think it has something to do with an "extended" or "extra" partition. In any event, when I select the option I get this error:
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk1p2
(File exists)
Error mounting SDEXT:!
Also, I can't see an "external sd" option under "update from zip". Under "install zip from scdard" there is an option to "choose zip from sdcard" but this doesn't seem to access the external card.
Any idea how I might be able to update to a later version of CWM?

No worries (it was pretty stupid of me).
Called a repair shop today, it will cost $80 to get the USB port replaced. Trying to decide between forking out $80 or donating it to landfill.

Have you tried pushing files to sd card with adb?
Since the phone is worth over £200 I would get it fixed you should look online and see how easy it is to fix you might be able to or know someone who can fix it at a cheap price (that part is most likely on sale online for way less)

Well, here it is: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-...Parts_Tools&hash=item2571b036fe#ht_1558wt_952
Just have to work out how to do it now.
I had the phone in pieces the other night trying to clean the port and that socket seem pretty firmly attached. Have to see if I can turn up any instructions. There are lots of sights saying they'll do it for you but haven't been able to find any instructions on how to do it myself yet.

I used a 32GB sdcard. I think it is a Patriot. So you mean, it should be possible to mount an external sdcard with TWRP and install from it? In the meantime I could solve it using the advanced options. There was nothing under /sdcard but the install-image under /emmc. So I copied it with TWRP to /sdcard and then thank God the installation worked after a few tries.

for two days now i've been trying to get jellybean 4.1.2 onto my galaxy s plus. i used odin multi-downloader to do the things suggested and when i get to the part involving the zip file on the sd card everything goes south. it gives me a "cannot mount" message and now basically the phone can either be put into downloading or recovery mode. i'm making a last attempt to get something going using the pda button and a zip file. but it's been over an hour now and i don't think i've resolved anything. got this message initially "<1> setup connection..." but the clock just keeps on ticking away.
i'm desperate and feeling stupid. and tired. time for bed. maybe someone can help walk me through this again.

that message is normal, you have the roms in external sd or internal? if they are in external sd you have to search with "internal sd" option (is an error, internal sd shows you the content of external sd and sd shows you the content of internal one). make a factory reset and then try to flash one of the rom you have on your sd (if you can find them), if you want 4.1.2 rom i suggest you ivendor's one

recovery.fstab is a part of the recovery image into kernel, you can't copy-paste it, you can only touch vold.fstab with root access. But this is not your problem because you have flashed stock ROM! As I said earlier: try to flash again a different version of stock JB or try downgrading to see if the problem is resolved.

First - what do you want to do? vold.fstab will swap your internal and external memory. And sure it will not help you see your SD card on PC or recovery.
I had problem with non visible SD card in recovery on GB - and solution was to partition it again.
Is not only to swap, but also to set mount points. Yes, I forget about repartition, said to format current partition in fat32 but he said that with an adapter or another device works

Did you Take the OTA and then stuff broke?
If you look in the marhmallow thread under general says "its here",there is a gentleman i believe /u/DTR8UPX that uploaded a complete stock backup.if youve already taken the 6.0.1(MM) OTA and cant boot to android,i suggest restoring that from TWRP if you can access it. This happened to me yesterday, and i spent countless hours trying to find a solution.please be sure to thank his post if you do use it.

I will try it but I cant use my 32 gig SD card after marshmallow reformatted it now it only hold 25 Mb's so I have no way to flash big files and I don't have a SD
card slot on my PC

You can format your sdcard in TWRP under advanced wipe.go to advanced wipe then check micro sd card and it will format it from there.

If TWRP wont format it,it may be corrupted/unusable.you dont have like a 4GB or anything else kicking around somewhere?if you dont theyre ridiculously inexpensive or even maybe borrow a friends?unless you can access the sdcard or internal storage,im afriad theres not much you can do to fix the issue at hand.sorry, just trying to help with ideas here.
I updated twrp to 3.0.2-0 see if thAt works

You should have folders structured for TWRP on both your internal and sdcard.,something like /TWRP/BACKUPS/YOURSERIALNO/Name of backup. So you want to extract the backup STR8UPX made, then place the first folder after his Serial # in YOUR serial Numbers folder.ive attached a pic to show you how my folder structure is.
Keep in mind the structure is the same only thing that would be different for you is that its on internal storage.
